I am sure that you are familiar with “Angie’s List” review guild lines. Your review shall be honest and entirely correct. First of all: You are stating that we completed work at your residence on February 3, 2014. [member name removed], I provided you with a proposal for miscellaneous electrical troubleshooting and repair work on December 13, 2012 and we have not worked for you on February 3, 2014. You are incorrect! Second of all: We provided you with a written proposal, outlining ALL of our conditions and pricing. If you believe that our price was worth an “F”, why did you hire us? And….. What made you decide to give us an “F” for quality? We do not collect money from our customers unless they are totally satisfied. Description of Work: We hired Beck Electric after our light fixture broke. They sent a technician to our home who was such a nice person it was a pleasure. He came in an fixed two light switches and removed the ceiling fixture as the problem was in the ceiling fixture. After we had the ceiling fixture repaired we called Beck to re-hand the light. Again they sent out a young man that was professional and courteous. We had him remove another fixture for fixing and are planning on having them come out a third time to rehang the fixture. They are an extremely reliable, courteous, company, and I'm glad I used Angie's List to find them.

Mark is a great, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and dependable guy. He shows up on time and calls ahead of time when he needs to reschedule. I liked learning how to troubleshoot a problem that could occur in other fixtures in my condo, and he was a great teacher!
Description of Work: Mark Beck looked at a recessed ceiling fixture to determine why it wasn't working. The prongs for the light fixture were carbonized, a problem Mark saw often. Basically, Mark diagnosed the problem, then explained to me how to fix it and gave me the name of Cashway Electric Supply so I could purchase the parts. If he had the part with him, he certainly would have fixed it then, but a return trip didn't seem worth the extra expense so I fixed the light myself. It took me the time of the trip to Cashway plus ten minutes.

Mr Beck of Beck Electric, spent an hour with me checking out the existing service for safety. In the process found a cover panel was missing from the breaker box. He advised me that this panel was essential, but not available from his parts house, so volunteered to locate a used one and have his electrician install it when he came. He quoted a reasonable price for the removal of an old heater and the installation of a new combo unit (which I supplied) for the bath. The electrician arrived on time at 8am and worked for 4-5 hours. When he left, the old heater had been neatly removed, the new combo neatly and correctly placed in the bath ceiling and both the breaker panel and exterior GFI were in place and working perfectly. He did not charge me for the panel. However, 2-3 days later (after the attic had been insulated and wires possibly disturbed), the heating combo unit began to malfunction. Beck Electric returned as promised, trouble-shot the unit and did not leave until it worked!
Description of Work: In my 1920's bathroom, an electrician from Beck Electric 1) removed the old electric heater from the wall, 2) then sawed a rectangle in the ceiling and wired in a combo fan, heater & light, 3)installing switches for each by the door - $600. During the same visit, 4)he installed a GFI outlet on an exterior wall - $100 - 5)and located and adapted a panel-cover to fit which had been missing (and potentially dangerous) from the electrical breaker box - no charge.
