Bay Park Moving

The receptionist was very nice and responsive. I told them that I wanted experienced movers because I have some very special and heavy antique pieces. I had a team of three people who came early to start the job. The all introduced themselves to me, and were very friendly. They took great care to make sure every piece of furniture was taken good care of, even the few Ikea pieces that I have. Extra care was taken for the antique pieces. Everything arrived unscathed, and was done faster than I expected. I would highly recommend Bay Park Moving.

We have used Bay Park 3 times and all 3 times we have been thrilled with the service and price. When you call to make an appointment, you are given complete information about the service to be provided and what can be expected. The guys show up on time and start loading immediately. They are careful to wrap items and load them with care. During the unloading process, they make sure the boxes are going to the correct room rather than stacking them anywhere. It is a pleasure doing business with Bay Park Movers.

This is the second time we've used them. Obviously, we were pleased with them the first time which is why we used them again, even though their rates had increased from the first move. The crew were the same guys that moved us the first time, which was nice. They're friendly, but very hard working. Constantly moving and little to no downtime. The only thing that broke in the move was the plastic pot our ficus tree is in. But it was brittle and not their fault. We'd definitely use them again and recommend them highly.

They were very responsive and prompt. They were very thorough. They took care of the furniture. It was raining so they made sure that everything didn't get wet. The workers were great and they were like super-human; one of them could carry a whole couch. I recommended them to some others.

Great! Only difficulty was having to pay in cash. Easily overcome with planning but something I had to consider. I thought that moving out of the rental was going to be the toughest item I had to handle---but Bay Park made it easy.

It was a full move about 40 miles. I had used them once before, about 2 years ago and used them now again. They were upfront and honest with their rates. They have an extremely honest agent for on sight review to quote the move. I will use them in future.

They were prompt and thoroughly professional. They checked to make sure everything was in order. I would recommend them highly.

It cost us about $350 for their services. They did a good job. There were four guys and they gave us one guy for free for a while because I don’t think he had another job to go on. They were fast and efficient. The only thing was that there was one piece of furniture that got mixed. Other than that, I guess the casualties were pretty low. So, that’s a good thing for moving.

It was excellent. The guys were really hardworking. They didn’t waste any time. They really got down to it. The price and quality of their work was good.

The work went really well; it went just as I had hoped it would. It was a very easy and efficient move. There were three guys, and they were terrific. They moved me in less time than was estimated. They were really nice guys and very efficient. The price was good and really acceptable. Their quality of service, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism were excellent. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

They were really fast and very efficient. They actually came early. They were pleasant, and I felt very comfortable with them doing the move; nothing was broken as a result of the move. I did not use them to do the packing. I think their price was pretty much in the ballpark. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

It couldn't have gone better. I wish even half of our local businesses were even half as professional as Bay Park. Yes, they are that good.

They were extremely responsive and I was a little apprehensive about moving into a condo where we had to move everything down a parking garage and up an elevator and all that but they were familiar with our complex so they did a great job. They took down beds and put them back up together. We did the packing and they moved the large pieces and the large boxes. They were excellent. I will use them again in the future.

Update 6/17/2013 - They didn't damage any of my furniture loading the container. However, when I bought a house and finally unloaded the container in October of 2011, I found that two pieces of furniture were damaged. I have an antique reproduction glass front bookcase that is 8'x8'x2'. It disassembles into 9 pieces for shipping. Although I provided a sufficient amount of furniture pads for them to wrap each piece, they didn't use them. Instead they just shrink wrapped the pieces and loosely draped a few pads over the top. The shrink wrap didn't completely cover the pieces, and one didn't have any shrink wrap at all. I returned 12 unused furniture pads to UHaul. Whatever was stacked next to those pieces rubbed against them in the move and damaged them. I got an estimate of $172 to repair the damage. I contacted Doug and told him I thought they should repair the pieces because they hadn't protected them adequately. He gave me the runaround. First he said to just send him an estimate. I did but didn't hear back from him, so I called. Then I was told he'd been out and he'd call me back. He never did. When I put my complaint in writing, his response was that I didn't provide enough furniture pads, that containers move, and they couldn't be responsible for what happened after they loaded it. It's a given that a PODS containers is going to be moved around. If they accept a job loading a container, I expect them to pack and load appropriately for the circumstances. If I hire professional movers to load a container, I expect them to know how to protect my furniture so it isn't damaged in transit. I felt like he just blew me off because I didn't live there any more and would be hard to pursue getting my money from him. I repaired the furniture and paid the cost of it myself. just moved from San Diego to Albuquerque, NM. It was a complicated move but Bay Park handled it with a can-do attitude and they got it right. Original review: I am renting an apartment in Albuquerque while I house hunt, so I wanted to move just a few things to the apartment and put the rest in storage. To accomplish this I rented both a small truck and a PODS container. The container had to be loaded and picked up in four hours, so I hired Bay Park to load them both. I wasn't sure how much the truck or the container would hold, so I divided my things into three categories - truck, PODS, and wherever I had room. The movers were accommodating, making sure items were loaded in the correct place and asking about my preference when it came to the items which could be loaded in either place. There were a number of things that required special attention, such as large pieces of furniture that had to be disassembled and large pieces of glass which needed extra protection. They demonstrated their professionalism in being able to take whatever packing materials I had on hand and adapt them to what was needed. (NOTE - all of the glass made it without breakage.) They showed up on time and finished the job in exactly the amount of time estimated. I've moved five times in 10 years - all professional movers - and this is the best crew. They hustled, they communicated with me well, and they didn't damage any of my furniture.

Our moving experience was excellent-- they showed up on-time, worked very fast & were super nice and professional. They dealt graciously with a rainy day and a new house that was still under construction-- I can not recommend them highly enough!

Doug had to cancel our first appointment and was late to the second appointment. He provided an estimate of $750.00, which seemed rather high. In fact, we hired another AL-rated mover at less than half that price and gave those movers (who did an excellent job) a very good tip instead.

It went very well and the three movers were so accomodating to making things work in both garages. I had not estimated how much needed to be moved nor that a hanging light fixture was in the way. They took care of all of it. Also worrying about being unable to move the unit after it had wine in it, I asked about keeping it on their commercial dollies. A quick call to the boss said that they could sell me two of them! They went absolutely over and above in attention and they were extremely professional and worked well as a team. Highly recommended!

No services were performed. In fact, no one even showed up to the estimate appointment, which I spent my Saturday afternoon waiting for. No phone call to explain why they didn't show. Total waste of time and a pretty disappointing way to do business. I was looking forward to using their services, given the very positive reviews. However, my experience was the opposite. I couldn't even get someone to come give me an estimate!

3 men and a large truck moved our furniture. The men worked efficiently as a team filling the truck to ensure that all the furniture was moved in one go. The men were very careful with the furniture, wrapping it in cellophane when needed and using many blankets to cushion the furniture in the truck. The men were polite and respectful. The cost was as expected with no hidden extras. I would certainly use them again.

Doug (owner) made a personal visit to estimate our job. He was helpful and personable and gave us a fair estimate. I chose Bay Park Movers over another moving firm that provided a somewhat higher estimate and didn't make a visit to our home. On moving day, the Bay Park crew showed up on time and got right to work. The actual moving went quickly, but there were two problems. First, the crew was a little careless and one of our items fell off a cart they were using and into the street. Secondly, once loaded into their truck, they didn't secure some of the items and during the 15 mile transit, those items shifted and fell against other items which resulted in deep scratches to at least two wooden items, scraped paint, and a twisted metal part. We found this damage days later as we were unpacking our household goods. This damage could have easily been avoided. For this reason, I rated them a 'B' instead of an 'A.'

Surprisingly low stress! I expected issues after other moves I have had. Received quote from Doug in a few days after contacting them. On move day the movers arrived slightly early to get organized, then the move happened very fast. They were courteous, efficient, and careful. Overall very pleased. Would definitely hire again for a local move. Price includes a nice tip.

They were very reasonable. They did a great job. We were moving only few miles away. We did the packing. They loaded them and arranged everything in the new house according to where we wanted them to be placed. They took away the boxes that we had not used because they estimated how much we needed and gave us credit on boxes that we did not use. That was very nice of them. They were very punctual and were here on time. They loaded the truck within the time they gave us. The moving went very free, and I did not have any problems with them. We have used other companies before and none of them are nearly as good as Bay Park Moving
