Description of Work: We had a new security system installed in our business. The first week we had 3 false alarms due to faulty wireless motion detectors. The first time we went to the office to see if someone broke in and it took san diego police 45 minutes to arrive at the offfice. Perhaps this wasn't ADT'S fault, but we had another false alarm that same night, and then again several nights later. It took ADT two days to send someone out to look at the problem after the first failure. Then it took another 3 days to get someone out after the next false alarm that wasn't fixed the first time. A service tech came out today to fix two of the problem motion detectors, and when we went to arm the system to leave, it wouldn't work at all. Our office is now completely unprotected. They told me someone would meet me at the office in a two hours time frame, and when they finally called 3 hours later, they said they couldn't come out for 2 more days. We've also been waiting over 1 and 1/2 weeks to get a bid on adding security cameras and haven't received anything. I would never use this company again or recommend it to any one.

 + -1 moreI truly wish I had shopped around more when shopping for my alarm system and monitoring, and now am locked into a contract with a company that has very rude service agents that respond negatively to my questions about a system I paid a large amount of money on. Be careful before signing the contract, they will get you for two years with no way out. Also, you don't own the equipment. So don't make the mistake of thinking you own it all like I did! Several appointments with technicians I needed to come to my house were missed, one in particular was without even a phone call to say they weren't coming (after taking the day off work to accommodate them)! Now they are saying they will charge me to make configuration changes to my system, when had I known of the possibilities, would've had them make at the time of installation. In the mean time, I've found other monitoring companies that charge about 1/3 of what I'm paying to ADT.
Description of Work: Installed alarm system in house, and put wireless sensors on all doors and windows.

 + -1 moreAS THIS WAS A SYSTEM THAT CAME WITH A NEW HOUSE, WE HAD NO IDEA HOW TO WORK IT. ADT CAME OUT AND SPENT TIME WITH US, HELPING US TO LEARN HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS, ANSWERING OUR QUESTIONS PATIENTLY, AND HOW TO USE IT CORRECTLY.
Description of Work: INSPECTED CURRENT SYSTEM IN NEW HOUSE. EXPAINED HOW IT WORKS, ACTIVATED SYSTEM AND MONITORING USEAGE.

 + -1 moreTHE MONTHLY RATE IS EXCELLENT AND THE QUICK RESPONSE TO YOUR ALARM GOING OFF IS GREAT. GETTING THE SERVICE DONE WAS A LITTLE MORE DIFFICULT, 2 WEEKS OF PROMISES THAT THEY WOULD CALL ME RIGHT BACK SHOWED ME THAT THEY WERE NOT MAKING ME A PRIORITY. THE FIRST SERVICE REP CAME OUT, WAS VERY PLEASANT, BUT A MISPLACED ALARM HAD THE SECOND REP OUT 2 WEEKS LATER. WHEN THE SECOND REP WAS SCHEDULED TO COME OUT I TOOK THE AFTERNOON OFF, BUT I GOT A CALL LATE IN THE AFTERNOON SAYING HE WAS BEHIND SO THEY HAD TO RESCHEDULE. AFTER EXPLAINING I TOOK THE AFTERNOON OFF FROM WORK I GOT NO MORE THAN AN "OH SORRY".
Description of Work: ADDITION OF 5 NEW WINDOW ALARMS TO AN ALREADY EXISTING SECURITY SYSTEM.

 + -1 moreSERVICE TECH WAS PROFESSIONAL AND CARING. HE TOOK HIS TIME WITH EACH PROBLEM AND LISTENED WELL. I WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEIR SERVICES. THE MONITORING STATION, HOWEVER, CONTINUES TO SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE THE SYSTEM INFORMATION WHEN ALARMS GO OFF. THE TECHNICIANS ARE GREAT. MONITORING STATION NEEDS SOME HELP.
Description of Work: REPAIRED ALARMS SYSTEMS. WENT OVER THE SYSTEM AND CORRECTED MISTAKES AT CENTRAL STATION MONITORING SYSTEM. ALSO CORRECTED NAMES TO BE CALLED. WENT OVER SYSTEM IN DETAIL.
