Jerome was not only on time but very fair and honest. He basically fixed my door in 5 minutes and could have taken advantage of billing me a minimum amount but instead he only charged me for the gas for his trip to my house. He gave me recommendations on what to purchase and how much he would charge if I chose to upgrade my door opener to a quieter model and told me the pros and cons between, chain, belt and screw drive models. I will certainly call him when I am ready to upgrade.

I found this company on Angie's List, being impressed by stories of the owner's honesty in dealing with clients. My garage door was squealing something awful, and I wanted an honest answer as to the issue, not an upsell. Jerome, the owner, was available within a few days of my call, and was quite courteous and professional. He diagnosed the problem in about 3 seconds and grabbed a can of chain lube to squelch the squeaks-- they were gone in about a minute! As he sprayed away, he educated me (newbie house owner) on the maintenance of garage doors, including suggesting the lube to buy and showed me where to spray the hinges and springs. He also answered all of my newbie questions about various garage door issues (like the lights in the housing burning out really fast-- because it needed bulbs with sturdier filaments to withstand vibrations) and best of all only charged me a partial service call fee for his efforts. Wow. Good guy, and good service. Would definitely recommend to others.

Jerome installed the door and opener several years ago, so we called him to figure out this problem. He had to replace a circuit board. Now the door works perfectly. Great service!

Jerome, the proprietor, arrived during the agreed upon window of time and called about 15 minutes before arrival. I had originally called him because I thought the spring might have slipped on the shaft. Upon arrival he inspected the door and its parts. He indicated that the spring had not slipped but the door could stand to be balanced. He proceeded to adjust the spring and then he lubricated the screw drive. The door now can easily be lifted manually and the drive makes less noise. He was on-site about 30 minutes total. Very professional and no sales pitches. I would do business with him again.

Owner of business does the work - he arrived at the promised time, assessed extent of problem quickly, determined also what we DID NOT need as well, and got straight to work. Very efficient: he had all the parts and needed tools ready to go - whole job finished in less than 1 hr, and we had a pleasant chat while he worked - great experience for a first time user of this service and I have already recommended him to friends!

AA-OK came out on the same day we called and quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced our opener the next day. He did an excellent job, left everything very clean and was always prompt, friendly and professional.

One of 2 springs in the garage door had broken and could not get door up without a manual assist. Husband and I were going to go out to dinner for our anniversary. Jerome thought he could get there in time but due to bad traffic was cutting it short to do a full repair (he called me every 10 minutes or so to give me his progress/eta. He came and spent 5 minutes doing a temporary repair on an early Friday evening (for free), enabling us to get to our dinner, then came back for a rescheduled "full" visit the following Tuesday. He replaced some broken hinges (that I had not even noticed) and the broken spring.

My garage door was stuck in the half-open position, due to having had some wood replaced due to termite damage. Jerome came and made two adjustments and it worked fine. A couple of weeks later, the door came off its track; Jerome came back and showed me how to fix it myself. This was the second time I've used this service and I highly recommend it.

It went great. Jerome was very helpful; he gave good recommendation. Based on his recommendation I went for the opener replacement. He also suggested the logical reason for going with a particular opener (Genie in my case). He did a very professional and clean job. Also fixed the broken spring for me. Tuned up the garage door etc. Gave me a rebate for $25 which allowed me to go one model above with a insignificant additional cost. Loved his service.

Just bought an older home with an existing wood garage door and 14 year old electric closer. The door was not sitting correctly and would not close enough to allow the latch to lock the door. AA-OK came out on a Saturday, diagnosed that the door, hardware, springs and closer were all fine, just needed adjustment. These adjustments included Raising the door as settling had caused the driveway height to shift relative to the rest of the garage. Balanced the door. Corrected improper installation of some components by past repairs. Adjusted the chain on the electric closer. Reprogrammed the code on the electric closer and the remotes. Oiled and lubed all hardware. Finally, when done, stated that no door or hardware purchases were necessary unless we were doing so for aesthetics, as all parts were in fine shape.

The experience was a positive one, and I'd recommend him to friends (and already have). He removed the old door, tracks included, and hung the new door, all new tracks and hardware, hinges, etc., and hauled away the old door at no extra charge. A couple of days later a ceiling light fixture in the garage had moved and was hitting the door. We called Jerome and he came over promptly and took care of the problem.

I had a total of 5 companies give me estimates on replacing my old garage door and opener. I chose AA-OK Garage Door to do the job. I called Jerome on Sunday, 5/23. Jerome called me two days later to say the door was in stock and he could install it on 5/31. Other companies told me it would take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks to install the door. Jerome installed the door as promised on 5/31. The actual price for the installation was actually $10 less than his estimate! I am very happy with the door and the opener. It runs smoothly and quietly.

He arrived within the time window that he estimated and quickly identified the problem. He ran out to get a new head unit for my garage door and had it installed within ninety minutes. The installation job was much, much cleaner looking than what it had been before too. He was courteous, friendly, and professional. Overall, a very good experience.

Jerome was very easy to deal with: friendly, prompt, and professional. He arrived on time and fixed the problem very quickly for a VERY reasonable price! The garage door opener stopped working in mid November, I had contacted another garage door company, they came and gave me a pretty high estimate ($350), but they did not show up the next day for the repair. That is when I called AA-OK. They came on time, very courteous, showed me what the problem was, and gave me the estimate ($120). I left to go to work and when I got back the problem had been fixed, they left the bill posted on my door, cleaned up everything and left my garage in perfect order. I will definitely recommend them, they were great!!!

My garage door springs went kaput on a Saturday afternoon and so my garage door wouldn't open / close. I called Jerome and even though it was after hours he came out and replaced the springs. He was very professional and good humored, even though it was about a million degrees in my garage. I wish all service providers took this much pride in their businesses!

They were fantastic. They came on short notice and didn?t give a hard time. Jerome was excellent and taught me thing or 2 about garage doors. I will use this company again if needed.

Jerome was very pleasant and professional. He arrived to give an estimate about two hours later than originally scheduled, but he called to let me know he would be late. He looked at the door, and immediately knew which manufacturer had made it (another company had no idea). He said he would call me within 2 days for an estimate. He did, and the estimate was about $250 less than I had expected. We scheduled the time for him to come and replace the door. Again, he was running late, but did call to let me know. He said he would be about 2 hours late, and he was, so at least I wasn't waiting around all day. He did the work in the amount of time he had said it would take, for exactly the amount that he had estimated.
