Description of Work: They took a very long time to come out, once they came their tech did check in with me in the office, but I could NOT get a bid. I had to call over five times and then I finally said "forget it". Very disappointing as I told them I was in a hurry for the bid and they were so close physically. Gal on the phone was clueless and just kept telling me, "oh we sent it over for a bid". I don't know about their workmanship as they never got to this point. Don't waste your time, in my opinion.

Description of Work: They replaced a broken double-pane window with a gridwork thing in between the two panes. And the screen that went with it. It was broken when a lawnmower threw up a rock. They had to replace both the inside and outside panes and the grid in between and put new screening in the screen frame. They were quick and polite and it looks great.

Description of Work: We were very happy with our frame less shower door, they came right out to measure the day after I called . They made it and installed it within a week as promised. The price ended up being a little less than the bid and the bid was the lowest of any that I found to begin with, Completely stress free all the way around. We are doing a major renovation and only wish all of it had gone as easy as this. Would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: Went by the shop to discuss a custom floating counter top purchase and installation plus a hinged shower dorr arrangement. The person who was the "expert"on the floating counter top estimate was not there although I had phoned ahead. I left a detailed set of sketches and was told I would receive a call before the end of the day. Never happened; a second call also went unreturned. So I went with a competitor.

Description of Work: Although the bid evaluator was late, they did call and were very reasonable and helpful. They suggested a shower door repair rather than a new door and after some adjusting were able to make it work well. Cost was 90. rather than $400. Would definitely use again.

Description of Work: I contacted ABC Glass to install a mirror. I had to call back twice just to get the appointment scheduled, because the girl who answered the phone and said that she would 'call me back in ten minutes' never did. She did this twice. After the third call, the work was scheduled. I took time off from work to stay home and accommodate the appointment, and an hour before the scheduled appointment, the same girl called to say the installer couldn't make it and rescheduled for 2 days later. I again took time off from work and the same thing happened; the same girl called and said the installer couldn't make it and wanted me to reschedule for the following day. When I told her that I couldn't miss anymore work, she said that they couldn't help me if I did not take the appointment she had recommended. This is very frustrating. I can only assume the reason behind this behavior was due to the fact it was for a simple job; when I recommended this company to a friend (due to Angie's list reviews) he used them successfully to do an expensive remodel. This company should probably make a disclaimer on its services that it does not value the 'little' customer.

+ -1 moreABC Glass gave me an estimate over the telephone, and we scheduled the work for the next day. One man showed up at the appointment time, looked at the job, and determined that he could not do it alone. He gave me a new estimate based upon two workers and (per my request) slightly thicker glass than was in the original window. I gave the OK. He went and got the thicker glass I requested and the second person and returned within the hour. The two men removed my broken glass, cut and installed the new glass and cleaned everything up nicely. It was clearly a two person job. I got exactly what I wanted/needed for what I believe was a fair and reasonable price.
Description of Work: Replaced a second story fixed-pane broken window.

+ -1 moreI took in a badly ripped window screen. Asked to purchase a new one, because that would cost only $3 more than just replacing the torn screen. An hour later they called to tell me it was ready. When I went in the next day they had mistakenly not given me a new frame but had just replaced the torn screen. They immediately took it back and made me a new screen while I waited. This is a family business so I'm glad to patronize them :-)

It just would not close properly; needed help, and ABC Glass came the next day, on time, and for a very reasonable price. It seemed many companies did not want to deal with this "small job". I had booked with another company 2 times and they just "forgot". ABC was a pleasure to work with. We will use them again!

+ -1 moreSpoke to a very pleasant person, Roberto, who gave me the exact price over the phone, said they would bring out a standard size piece of glass and if it didn't fit, they would measure and have one special ordered. We agreed on a time and they were here to the minute. When I asked the installers to please remove their shoes they put on "booties", spread drop cloths, carefully cleaned up shards which had fallen when they basically had to push out the shattered glass. After measuring they determined that indeed this was a standard size and in 15 minutes another truck came with the glass. After installing it they again looked for bits of broken glass and cleaned the new "door" thoroughly before leaving. Getting this done the day I called was GREAT, everyone was very pleasant and I totally recommend them and would not hesitate to call upon them again.
Description of Work: Replaced completely shattered glass in a sliding patio door.

Order was ready the next day (although I could have had it the same day if I wanted). I am quite happy for their advice and with their work.

+ -1 moreI was given a 1-hour window for the repairman to show up, and he showed up at the start of the window. He immediately knew what to do. He removed the door and made some adjustments, and in the blink of an eye, he was done. He was very pleasant and informative. Great experience!
Description of Work: I had a glass shower enclosure door that no longer closed. The door seemed out of alignment with the enclosure. I had been told by various handymen that I would probably have to replace the entire enclosure. ABC Glass was able to repair it in a few minutes with parts the repairman had on the truck. I am so happy with their work, and I will definitely use them again.
