I was impressed with the professionalism and quality from my first contact with Michael through job completion by Tim and Jake. All were punctual and courteous. The work spaces and my home were protected, sealed, and cleaned thoroughly at the end of the day. I was consulted regarding every detail of the job and options/variations were explained thoroughly. I am completely satisfied with the finished products and would hire and recommend this business without any reservations.

Replaced lighting in our kitchen by building a box and using recessed bulbs. It is beautiful.

Michael's team arrived on time, and went to work straight away. They draped plastic to contain the dust, and put drop cloths on the wood floor to protect it. They also put down drop cloths all the way down a flight of stairs and out to the front door. I also saw that they were in their socks or protective booties. While I'm not sure why they did this, with all the drop cloths and runners, I appreciated the extra effort very much. They answered all my questions as the work progressed. When the work was done they made sure all the trash was properly dealt with and everything was cleaned up. I expected this to take all day, but because they worked so diligently, it only took around 4 hours, and by lunch time they were packed up and done. They were very courteous through out then entire process, and I never heard a single swear word (that's important to me). I am very pleased with the job they did on our kitchen ceiling, and it was even more so enjoyable because they were very nice, courteous people who didn't waste any time getting the job done. I would use them again, and recommend them highly.

The two workmen, actually two of Michael Dove's sons, arrived at a little after 7:00 a.m. and after covering the work area in plastic never stopped working until they finished around 12 hours later. My kitchen is large, so the job was a big one. The young men took away what debris they could in their van and deposited the rest in my recycling and trash cans. Everything was clean and tidy when they finished.

Mike called punctually and even let me know he would be arriving early. He looked at our old tube lights in the kitchen and recommended that we replace them with the more modern and economical lights that are available today. He gave a quote and arranged to to do the work 2 working days later. The job entailed removing part of the ceiling, removing the old lighting, replacing it with recessed lighting, repairing the ceiling and removing any trash that was created. The day before work commenced, I decided I wanted another part of the kitchen added to the work and Mike quoted what it would cost over the phone. The next day 2 very nice men came to do the job. The kitchen was completed covered by them with protective sheeting as was the hallway they had to walk through to reach the kitchen. They worked efficiently and so quickly, the job was finished in less than 4 hours. Every inch was uncovered and the protective sheeting was put in the trash. Other material which they used, they placed in the recycling bin and they explained where we could take the old tube lighting for disposal. I love the results! My new lights are fantastic. The price was exactly as quoted and I couldn't be happier. The whole experience from initial call through job completion was first class. Highly recommended!!!!

Michael came out to bid the job within a week of scheduling an appointment. He was running late and called to apologize and to see if it was alright to come later than scheduled. He estimated his new arrival time and showed up when he said he would. After seeing the work I wanted done, he made a few suggestions about light placement and with my agreement, he provided a bid with no pressure. Due to his obvious knowledge of lighting, coupled with his Angie's list scores, I scheduled the work. He advised me that he had earlier dates available but I was unable to schedule the work sooner due to work obligations. The crew of 3 showed up within the agreed upon window of arrival. They were there at 7:30 am and immediately went to work. Even more amazing, they took no breaks and finished the job a little after 4:00 pm! They were courteous, considerate and did an excellent job in enclosing all work areas to minimize dust, putting down drop cloths to cover all floors and cleaning up when done.

In my opinion this is an excellent vendor. They were recommended to me by a representative of a company that came out to give me an estimate for a kitchen remodel. I am glad that I called them. My call was returned promptly on the day I called and left a voice mail. An appointment was then set for Mr. Dove to come to my home to give me an estimate. Since Mr. Dove was only in my area a few days a week for the purpose of estimating there was over a week or so delay in his coming. I thought that was a bit excessive but now that I have had the work done I think it was worth the wait. Mr. Dove explained the process, answered all my questions and had some great suggestions. He was prompt friendly and very professional. He did the estimate on a Thursday and the work was scheduled for the following Monday. The two man crew arrived on time and we went over the instructions and plans. Everything was in order just as I had arranged with Mr. Dove. Once we finished the walk through everything was prepped and covered and they began the work. They worked straight through from 8am to about 3pm when the work was completed. The work looks great and the clean up was well done. The two gentlemen that were here (Matt and another young man whose name has left me, sorry) were friendly, professional and just plain nice! I also appreciated that they were also especially kind to our dog who peeked in on them once in a while. I am very happy with the work, the price and everything in general and will not hesitate to send them referrals.

Very friendly and courteous, showed up on time, got job done in one day, good clean up. Lighting looks great! We were very happy with the service and outcome - our kitchen looks fantastic!

Matt & partner arrived as scheduled at 8 am and worked continuously until the job was completed at 4 pm. They were very neat and cleaned up all traces of demolition and construction. The results are beautiful.

Michael Dove arrived on time as scheduled for initial estimate and explained the how and what work would be done and their work procedure. The work crew arrived on time as scheduled the following week and did a fine job as was outlined. Floors, counters and cabinets were protected by plastic sheeting and final cleanup left very little plaster dust or any problems. Michael Dove requires payment by cash or certified bank check...no personal checks or credit cards. Also no trash haul away provided. I had to get rid of plastic panels, wood moldings, ballasts and fluorescent lights on my own. All this had been explained at the initial visit and proposal. I am happy with the way the work was done and the results.

A team of four completed the job between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. They replaced old, flickering florescent lights with state of the art recessed lights and installed elegant crown molding with primer intact. My only complaint was their refusal to dispose of the displaced lights, ballasts and metal frames. There was also dust on the floor was not removed.

Great company, I just wish I had the worker go over some of the nails a little better, however, great company, they work fast and efficiently and i will use them again.

He was excellent to work with and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

Totally awesome! Matt came to do our consult and we like his ideas, so we set an appointment for the next week. Jeff and another guy that I forget his name showed up right on time to do the installation. Jeff went over the proposed light locations with me, and since I was staying at home during their work, he laid out the locations, marked them and got my approval before cutting into my ceilings. They covered and protected everything, worked neatly, and had everything done by early afternoon. They repaired the plaster ceilings where the old lights were removed and it looks like nothing ever happened (although we still need to paint, which we had already planned) We had another electrician install recessed lights in our kitchen some years ago, and these that Michael J. Dove installed look sooo much better than the ones the other electrician installed. I could not be happier with their work, and can't wait to show my husband!

We were extremely pleased with the entire process with Michael J. Dove's company from the initial contact through estimate visit, installation, and clean up. The estimator recommended the two additional pot lights which are run over a separate switch. The interior of the recessed area was even finished to match the rest of the ceiling which I was not expecting. The work was completed in under 3 hours.The overall effect is to make the kitchen seem so much larger. It really gives the kitchen a totally updated look, short of a complete remodeling, We would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants to replace kitchen lighting. All the people involved were completely professional.

I had seen the ads for the recessed lighting in Home Improvement flyers that we received quarterly and really liked the way the picture looked so we decided to call. I had checked the license # with the State Contractors Board and all was good so I called and left a message. My call was returned promptly but I couldn't get an appointment for an estimate for about a week and a half and I was a little disappointed with that. In the meantime I had another estimate from a competitor for the same price but no crown molding. Michael Dove was on time for our appointment and very professional and explained everything in detail, we scheduled the work to be done within 2 days and they were on time and completed the work exactly like they said and the picture looked. It was 'ready for paint' which might put some people off but they probably would paint it for an extra charge. My husband had to fill the nail holes and fill some cracks but they did a great job and once we paint the entire ceiling it wil look beautiful! My only negative thought was we had to pay with cash or cashier's check but other than that we are totally happy.

We checked them on Angie’s List for a good rating. They did a great job! They were supposed to be here between 7 and 8am, but they were here even earlier. They projected 4-5 hours for the job, but they were done sooner than they said they would be. They completely sealed the whole area off with plastic from ceiling to floor. They were so neat and clean that you wouldn’t even have known they were here except for the new lighting.

Mike arrived promptly at scheduled time to estimate job, and provide bid. His work crew arrived promptly on the scheduled date of work, masked all work areas, finished the kitchen light remodel as promised, and cleaned up all work areas without any trace of debris. The project was completed as promised and the work crew was courteous and professional. This was an overall excellent experience with a very professional tradesman.

The service was outstanding. From the very beginning all the way to the finish, I was very happy with them. There were 2 guys that came. Not only were they right on time, they were also very neat and clean. They explained everything very well as they went along. I would recommend them.

Went well overall and led job was done efficiently and professionally. It is possible that marks left on bathroom ceiling were unavoidable but we didn't expect them. The installation of the lighting fixtures was at our request (not part of the standard led installation) done by 2 workman, one of whom did better job than the other.

They came on time and did a nice job. They even cleaned up after themselves. Everything is wonderful.

went very well, showed up on time, very clean set up, lots of masking off. Was almost "paint ready" just need to patch some nail holes and a little caulking before painting. Looks outstanding
