Dave Mattea Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

Dave was the utmost professional. Not only was he friendly, and customer-focused, he was efficient and quick during the job. He was true to his appointment timing, and was very proactive about calling me about when he would be arriving. He takes his job very seriously and wants to do an excellent job. My carpets and upholstery (and even the stain is now gone) look brand sparkling new. I would absolutely recommend Dave to anyone else.

Working with Dave went really well. He called a two days before the scheduled cleaning to set up a time to perform the cleaning. He then called on the schedule day to say he would arrive 10 minutes early which I really appreciated. My carpets were cleaned in a very efficient manner. I highly recommend him for anyone wishing to have their carpets or upholstery cleaned

I recently purchased a Condo that had badly stained and grimy berber wall to wall carpet. I figured I'd take the risk that carpet cleaning might keep me from having to purchase new carpeting. I called Mr Mattea and we discussed an appt date. I had to postpone the initial cleaning appt due to closing taking more time than estimated. Mr Mattea was very understanding and we put the cleaning on hold till I closed on the purchase. We discussed a subsequent appt date and time and Mr Mattea arrived a few minutes early which was okay with me. I was truly amazed at how clean the carpet was after shampooing. Mr Mattea had pointed out some stains and heavy grime areas that he felt might not clean well but all the stains came out and the heavily walked on areas cleaned remarkably well also. Mr Mattea worked especially h****** those areas and I was fascinated in watching him make passes with the machine and seeing the carpet clean up so well with each pass. Mr Mattea was friendly and very professional. The price was excellent too: $150 for approximately 800 sq feet of very dirty carpet. Mr Mattea is only in the San Francisco Peninsula area two days a week but he is well worth waiting for. He is very experienced and knowledgeable about carpet problems.I would heartily recommend him for carpet cleaning.

He was a few minutes early finishing a previous job and called to ask if it was okay to come early. He moved all my furniture himself. He knew what he was doing and seemed like a really honest man. He did a really excellent job. I will hire him again in the future.

You see all the positive responses because Dave does good work. Don't hesitate to call him. First time we have used him and I won't need to look for other carpet cleaners. BTW his truck is not as noisy as some his competition. It doesn't sound like you have a jet in your drive way.

Dave came to my rescue! My carpeting was heavily stained after my dog had diarrhea while we were on vacation. It had not been cleaned in several years and is old and worn. Now it looks like new! Dave was prompt, courteous, did a fabulous job for half the price of his competition. Not one stain remains on my carpeting and I never knew it could look this great again. Many other companies have cleaned this carpeting. Dave is number one for service and price, really nice guy, too. Don't bother calling other companies just to get an estimate - save your time - just call Dave.

He is very good. I've used him for ten years. The service is high quality and his prices are reasonable. He is very thorough. He does a great job. I wouldn't think of using anyone else. He always shows up on time and I haven't had any problems. I will definitely continue to use him.

I hired Dave to clean the carpets in this rental house as part of the cleaning needed to insure the return of my deposit. Dave arrived on time, worked quickly and thoroughly and was able to remove some stains that had been in the carpet before we moved in. The property manager and landlord were quite satisfied with the condition of the carpet and my deposit was returned. I would definitely recommend Dave and hire him again.

We've raised several puppies and the carpet had lots and lots of spots. They all came out clean and the carpet is uniformly clean. Now, we can let our 1-year old granddaughter frolic in the living room. Dave arrived on time, worked diligently and finished the job in about 2 1/2 hours. Very pleasant experience.

I called Dave the week before Thanksgiving because I had an overnight guest coming for the holiday. I was afraid I would not find someone who could fit me in but Dave scheduled an appointment for a couple of days later. He was very professional on the phone and he arrived promptly. He did an excellent job cleaning and advised me that the cat urine odor problem we have might not be solved with the cleaning because it might have soaked through to the mat underneath. He did an excellent job cleaning, but we did discover that the odor lingered and have since arranged to replace the carpet. I was grateful for the advice--rather than just having the carpet cleaned repeatedly I found out how to solve the underlying problem. I will definitely use Dave's service in the future to keep our new carpet clean!

I've used Dave Mattea for years, and I wouldn't consider having anyone else do my carpets. He's extremely thorough and very honest. I have used his service and not been in the home He is very reliable and dependable.

From the get go Dave worked on our convenience. He owns his business and has been doing this for close to 20 years. Although he lives in the north bay area, he is willing to provide his service in this area since he used to live here and still has lots of loyal customers. He was punctual, did an excellent job, was very amiable and easy to talk to, and most importantly he takes pride in this work. He was thorough and did not miss any areas that we wanted to have cleaned. He guarantees his work. I am very happy with Dave and I will definitely all him again to have our carpets cleaned. Dave quoted $128 over the phone, showed up the next day, did an excellent job, answered all my questions, and actually charged $5 less than quoted. I was extremely satisfied.

Dave cleaned carpets in the living room, family room, hallway, and 4 bedrooms. He prespotted stains and moved light furniture. He suggested I lay towels on tiled floors to make sure I didn't slip walking from carpet to tile. This was a great idea. Overall, I'm thrilled the carpet looks so good now, and that Dave is still available as a service provider. When you find someone good, you want to be able to call them again. I appreciate that Dave wants to keep repeat customers at the same time he enlarges his service territory.

Dave set a specific appointment time and arrived right on time. He got out stains that I thought would never come out. He was courteous and professional.

He and I set up a time and date. He actually was able to do it earlier that day and I agreed to it. I didn't get a chance to vacuum since I was planning to do it before the appointed time but we ended up rescheduling it earlier. He warned me that the carpet stains might not come out. I understood and just wanted to try. He also told me not to worry and that he can vacuum all the debris up. So he started to spray all the soaked in stain. Then he started to clean all the carpet. I left for awhile and when I came back I was shocked how clean the carpet looked. It was totally a 100% better than before. He did warn me that when it dried the stains and spots might reappear. He also told me that the carpet might dry with some waves, but it was normal and would be fine. He told me that the carpet cleaner might leave some dark lines and that I should call him back and he would re-clean it. Well, it took a couple of days to dry and he warned me about that too because he had to do some real heavy duty cleaning. I notice some dark lines by a bedroom door entrance and called him. He was very pleasant and came over to assess the situation. No trouble from him. He started to re-clean that area and notice other spots and stains that reappeared and sprayed on them and guess what all gone!! He did a fabulous job. He cares about his work. I will definitely call only him to do my carpets. Two other workers working on the house also commented on how amazing the carpet looked compared to what it looked like before. They didn't believe the carpet could come out clean at all and were stunned.

Dave called to say he was available 1/2 hour prior to our appointment. That worked well for both us. Dave was professional, thorough and our friendly conversation included mention that he really enjoys building his company and doing the work. It shows - he's someone you feel good about having in your home.

I called Dave Mattea for an estimate and he came out the next day. My concerns were the stains and odor from my older dog's accidents. He used a deodorizing spay and then cleaned the carpets going over them several times until he was satisfied they were totally clean and odor free. I appreciated the time he put in to get the results we both wanted.

I had a great experience with Dave. I was able to reach him easily by phone. He gave me an approximate estimate by phone and we scheduled his service call within the week. I had 2 sofas I wanted him to clean. The first one has a custom slipcover and he said I could save money by taking it to the laundry mat. For the 2nd one he wasn't sure if the material would come clean so he tried one pillow. It didn't look much better and since I was planning to sell this sofa, I decided not to clean it. He cleaned everything else for me. The next day, I looked at 2 sofa pillows that I had wanted cleaned and they were still spotted. I called him to check that he had cleaned them (I thought he had, but wasn't sure). He volunteered to come by my house and pick them up and see if he could get anymore spots out. He returned them 2 days later. I thought he went way beyond the call of duty. In fact, I was floored that he went so far out of his way for my 2 pillows. He clearly puts the customer first. I appreciate his thoroughness, honesty and integrity.

He did a fabulous job. He was very prompt, he came out within 10 minutes of our first call. He quoted us a price over the phone and the final cost came in at even less than that.
