Description of Work: My stand-alone upright freezer contents were warm. As it was a Kenmore, I first called Sears where I was given the first available appt...7 days from my call. | |As this was not going to work given a defrosting freezerful of food, I called A-Z Appliance Repair. Even though his regular freezer guy was on vacation, a substitute was located and arrived at my house within a few hours. I appreciated the prompt followup, the substitute, and efforts made to provide me an urgently needed service. My freezer was repaired by Michael in a timely, courteous, and professional manner. Thank you Sam at A-Z Appliance Repair.

Description of Work: He was way more expensive than another guy and would not provide a receipt for my warranty coverage.

Description of Work: Sam came and was going to order parts for my refrigerator. He was unable to get the parts and suggested I call Sears (where I had purchased it three years ago). Although I thought I had a Kenmore frig. Sam informed me that it was an LG. I did agree to pay for the service call ($65) since he tried to find the parts. I called Sears the next day (Tuesday) and a service person came out Friday. He was able to fix my frig that day.

Description of Work: Looked at my slowly thawing fridge and advised that a new compressor would be more than a new used fridge. Then, I have a stove burner that wasn't working. He ordered a new part and I'm scheduling a return visit for installation.

Description of Work: Fridge died. No power. Called A-Z. Timely arrival. Very professional and knowledgeable. Would call again at first sigh of appliance problem. Call, you won't regret it.

Description of Work: This was our second time with this service. Sam(?) is knowledgeable and communicative. He fixed our dishwasher, but warned us, as he had two years ago, that it could go at anytime. He recommended that we get another one soon. He also repaired a shelf in the refrigerator and restored the ice maker--it's great to have it back. He had to come twice to get the job done because of the refrigerator parts.

Description of Work: Our Washing machine gave up working and we called A-Z Appliances on a Saturday Morning and Sam was able to come at noon to check out the washer. He came in time and was very knowledgeable about our computer controlled washer. He was able to get it working, but he also told us that it still could be within the controls. He also cleaned the filter on the out take, so we could do it as well. Unfortunately it didn't work for more than one day and Sam came out immediately to check it out again, without charge. This time he said it is the controls and we had a conversation if it is better to repair or buy new. So far we have not decided yet, but we did value his opinion very much. If we will want to repair, we will ask Sam to work on it.
