They were excellent. They showed up on time, they had a quote that covered everything, they were fast and careful, they were courteous, and they were just terrific in every way. I would recommend them highly.

We were very happy with their promptness, professionalism, and respect for our possessions. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs, and we will not hesitate to utilize their services again should the need arise.

We have a lot of big heavy items needed to be moved upstairs. They did the job very professionally.

From the moment I contaced Two Men and a Truck over the phone I was struck by their professionalism. They were the first company I called and I decided not to look further after the initial call. They explained the complete process and exactly how the cost would be determined. They told me their employees have all had background checks run and are drug-tested. They followed up with e-mails and phone calls before, during, and after the move. I would highly recommened this office of Two Men and a Truck.

They used 8 men and 2 trucks and the service was superb. The people were very friendly and they did everything right. We did the packing. We moved from Lincoln, California to Novato, California. If necessary I will hire them again in the future.

On a scale of 1 to 10, this experience was a 15! This company was fantastic. ?All of my phone conversations were with Joe and he was extremely efficient and helpful. ?He asked lots of questions to gain all the appropriate info about my move and it helped me to remember all the details I needed. ?The move was basically several large pieces of furniture and I reiterated my concern with making sure there were enough movers. ?Joe clearly understood and reassured me there would be sufficient help with 3 movers. ?He estimated the move would take approx 6-8 hours. I was given a one hour window for the arrival of the movers and they arrived with plenty of time to spare. ?They each introduced themselves and after going thru the house pointing out the items they would be taking, they wasted no time and got right to work. ?Most of the pieces were carved and/or solid wood pieces and they made sure to tale extreme care with everything. ?While they took the time to cover everything with blankets as well as industrial Saran wrap, they did this very quickly and within the first 45 minutes or so, they had already wrapped and loaded at least 1/3 of the items. ?Some of the item had been stores in a garage and they were nice enough to let us quickly clean the parts we couldn't get to before the move. ? When they arrived at the new destination, they again began working right away with just as much speed and efficiency as at the beginning of the morning. ?There was what i feared would be an extremely difficult staircase to maneuver 3 of the largest pieces upstairs. ?I thot there was a good chance that I would have to find another place for those pieces downstairs. ?However this was never even a thought for them. ?With some quick discussion between them on how to best do it, they had the furniture up in no time! ?(To my complete amazement!) ? When they were all done, they moved a couple things that were already at the new house to different locations. Even with all of that, they finished in just under 6 hours! The next morning, I received a follow up call from Joe to make sure everything went ok. ?That's customer service! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Two Men and a Truck. ?I had made a last minute decision to check on the possibility of them doing my move and it is the best decision I could have made!

They were really good. They’ve always been great. They are punctual and reasonable on price. They are fast. They are very careful and very efficient. There’s nothing bad I can say about them. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

Exceeded all my expectations. Workers were very polite, handled all my items with care, made sure to step only on floor runners (carpet was recently cleaned), did not bump any walls or damage any items, finished the job ahead of estimated work time.

When Keith first came out to our house to give us an estimate, we told him that we wanted a "not to exceed" price. He said "sure", so that's what I thought he was going to email us, as that's what other moving companies have given us in the past. We thought he was nice, and we got his estimate, which was for four men and two trucks for 8.25 hours. He said that he thought it would probably go faster than that since we had two trucks, and decided to go with them assuming it was a not to exceed price. A few days later he called to discuss our move, and I reiterated about it being a not to exceed price, and Keith said that no, it wasn't a not to exceed price. I was worried about that, but he said to just tell the driver that we didn't want to exceed the 8 hours. At that point, we didn't have time to find another moving company before our move, but we felt misled and weren't happy that we were going to have to worry about the cost now. The company we used before gave us a not to exceed price and that is definitely what we will use in the future. It makes for a much less stressful day. I also didn't like how the driver asked me to sign something saying that "no visual estimate was given" when Keith did come out and view our house in advance. We didn't like worrying about it all day as the guys were fortunate to finish right on the estimated time- it didn't go "faster" like Keith was trying to make it sound. Overall it ended up OK, the guys working were nice and polite, the only damage we noticed was a small dent in our refrigerator. We wouldn't use the company again though since they don't give not to exceed pricing. Keith should have told us that right off the bat when we told him that's what we wanted.

They arrived within 30 minutes of appointed time and wasted no time. I was all packed up. The entire move took 4.5 hours. They were very fast and professional.

From the initial phone call with Heather, Two Men and a Truck provided exceptional service. The process was thorough, but efficient. Received an estimate over the phone that turned out to be right on target with the final cost. I liked the fact that this is a local company, with their own crews, and that they charge a flat hourly rate. They also sent an e-mail confirmation right away, and reminders along the way with helpful tips and information about moving. The weekend we were supposed to move it was scheduled to rain heavily. They were flexible in rescheduling to the early part of the following week, which relieved my anxiety about tracing mud onto our new carpet! They showed up on time, were very professional, had a good sense of humor, and worked quickly but carefully. I asked them to pack my kitchen at the last minute, which they were able to do. They had the kitchen packed and the truck loaded in what seemed like no time. When unpacking they worked very quickly, and placed everything exactly wehre I asked them to. It turned out to be a pleasant day, actually, if you can believe it! heather called several housrs into the move just to make sure everything was going ok. That's good customer service! Overall, they made the move alot less stressful than it could have been. I cannot say enough good about them. And they even charged me a few dollars less than the estimate!!

I contacted their office in Sacramento approximately 1 month prior to the move. I spoke to a man named Keith who was very polite and professional. I explained that I had moved many times and hired at least 5 different moving companies before. He went through the details of what the hourly rate was then asked me for detailed information on my move; each piece of furniture, number of boxes, how many wardrobes, what appliances ( I had no appliances; no washer, dryer, refrigerator etc..) He asked about the stairs at both locations, about what items, in detail, his two men would be moving. He explained that the minimum amount was 3 hours at $115.00 per hour. We agreed that with the small amount of items I had that should be pretty close to what I needed. The movers showed up on time and were clean and professional. However, when I asked them to look at my belongings and provide me a "no greater than estimate" they explained they had no authority to do that. After a few minutes they said essentially I would have to let them start the move with NO CAP on what it may cost. If they took 6 hours or 7 that would be what I had to pay. I had no choice really; I had to be out of my apartment that day. I asked the two men to please do their best and get started, even though I have ALWAYS gotten these "no greater than estimates" from every moving company I've hired from Mayflower to Lightning Movers. Two hours into my planned 3 hour move the truck was 3/4 loaded. With the time it would take to finish loading, drive time and then the unloading up 3 flights of stairs I began to get very nervous. My $350.00 was looking more like $700.00+. I called their office and spoke with Mark, Keith wasn't in. I explained my concerns and he came up with three solutions/excuses: 1) People hire them but sometimes don't have the movers move EVERYTHING; they sometime leave things behind to save money. That sounded ridiculous to me and still does. I drive a very small car which wouldn't hold a large box. Besides, why am I hiring a moving company that suggests I move some of my own things on the day of my move?? 2) It was normal to not offer an estimate that had no ceiling. In fact I must have misunderstood the conversations (3 of them) I had with Keith and that he had detailed the move distance, stairs and specific contents of my apartment not to estimate the amount it would cost but for some other reason. 3) That it must be the movers fault, even though I explained that they were doing good work so far. I hung up from Mark extremely angry because frankly he wouldn't bend in the least. His company had clearly misled me and or failed to send a representative out to do an onsite estimate. However, he was busy saying things like "So, let me understand why you are unhappy...you say the two men are doing a good job but yet you are not satisfied with the move...I don't understand, are they not moving fast enough for you?" Basically it seemed to me that I had to throw the two manual laborers under the bus for him to accommodate my concerns; I wouldn't do that because it was Keith and Mark who made the error. The two men knew I was arguing with Mark and began to really move quickly. They finished the move in 5 hours at a cost of $575.00. I tipped them $60. In the future I will make it a point to insist on an onsite no more than estimate and not assume that the people showing up are professional enough to do that. This is the first time this has ever happened to me in all the moves I've done. That really wasn't the big problem I had though. My problem is that Mark threw customer service out the window from the beginning and never looked back. I was calm and explained my problem logically to him in the beginning. He just plain took no responsibility for my situation, zero. There was no "I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, let me see if we can fix this..." It was just defensive excuses in a polite tone. In the future I would advise Two Men and a Truck to include in their phone conversations a paragraph about onsite estimates and how they don't do that on move day or prior unless someone mentions it. 3-2-11 Update: Regarding Marks? response; the statement was made ? 2.) We always will perform onsite estimates and give "Not To Exceed" amounts. Our trained professionals do them, which were able to get out to only moments before your move started.? That is a complete false statement as far as I am concerned. I did NOT make up my conversation with your movers and their refusal or inability to issue that estimate. Other than that the only other thing I can say is that I am even less impressed than when you moved my home. Your company did indeed ?fall short? but it would have been better to leave it at that than to make that statement in the previous paragraph. It is false and implies that I either made that up (which is ridiculous) or didn?t ask, in which case I lied; neither is true. Yes, I terminated the conversation with you after 10 minutes by hanging up. I also told you several times in that conversation that I was not appreciating the round-about pattern that you kept taking our conversation; it was not productive in the least. I kept my temper in check and decide not to listen to more of the baloney I was hearing. All you had to do was just admit the mistake on moving day and compromise or at least at that time give me the NOT TO EXCEED estimate while your ?trained professionals were there? as you put it. Why did you not call them, then and there, and ask them to put a cap on it then regarding cost? Because they couldn?t, just like they said. ? If you were concerned about your company?s failings then why has no one emailed, mailed or called apologizing or offering a solution? This ?we fell short? , ?we always perform on site estimates..?, ? you hung up on me? is not an apology or even an explanation; it?s an excuse and not true.

They moved us completely to another house approximately 1 mile away. Everything was fine with them except their packing. It was a mess and I had to keep an eye on them. They did very poor packing. I did not have any other problem with them. The price they charged me was good. They were very responsive.

Outstanding, simply outstanding. I requested a 3 man crew & they were punctual, efficient, professional & worked extremely well together. There was a couple a tricky pieces that they handled impeccably. They would easily get a recommendation from me.

I picked Two Men based on all the positive reviews on Angie's List to move my mother from Sacramento to Washington State. I'm happy to be able to add my recommendation. Overall, the service was as good as we could ask for. All the advance arrangements were made over the phone with Sara, who was very helpful and pleasant to work with, and accommodated all our requests . She offered a lot of helpful information. We did a household inventory over the phone and I was immediately given a fixed price for the move, which they honored to the end (no weighing or surprise charges). The movers were punctual, carefully wrapped and packed my Mom's goods, and were pleasant to work with. They dropped off a couple of items at a third location at no extra charge and kept an eye on my Mom's potted plants to make sure they didn't get dried out in the truck! (they came through fine). They picked up the goods one afternoon, drove the next day, and delivered them the third morning. Everything arrived in fine shape with no damage. I will soon be moving myself and will definitely give them a call again.

I sent the company a list of items (see the list belo) that needed to be moved several days before the move. They informed me that I would only need 3 men and that it would be done within 4 hours. The day before the move, they called and talked me into 4 men say that the move would go faster. On the day of the move, I went over to the new house (which was only 3 miles away) to check on the alarm installers. My wife stayed with the movers. After 3 and 1/2 hours, I called to find out why the movers were not at the new house yet. My wife informed me that they had only half loaded the truck. After another 45 mintues, I called and spoke with the foreman and told them to bring what they had on the truck. The next day, I rented a uhaul and my two friends and I moved all the rest of the stuff in a total of 1 and 1/2 hours. This company is ripeoff.. They over padded their time to get more money out of us. I got the name of Two Men and a Truck via Angie's list and hired them based on their rating. I called them, and their scheduler was friendly and efficient and asked all the pertinent questions. The scheduler accommodated my short notice and was very helpful. Two men and a truck showed up right on time. The moving guys (Harry and Maika) cheerfully moved all my furniture and appliances, quickly and efficiently. Didn't slow down all day. I didn't see them on their cell phones even once. Amazing! They were very careful with all our stuff and didn't even ding anything that I saw. It was a great experience, as far as moving can ever be a great experience. I've used the "big name" movers on several occasions but won't ever again now that I've used TMAAT. They were professional and personable.

I called Two Men and a Truck to get an estimate for an interstate move. The person on the telephone who made the arrangements did not tell me all of the particulars of how they work, which might have made a difference in deciding whether to have them come out. They appeared as scheduled and did a full walk-through of my home. They then said they would return to their office and send me the estimate. After several days with no word I called to inquire. They found my file, said it had been misplaced, apologized, and promised to get back to me. That was the last I heard from them.

The company was extremely responsive in giving estimates, scheduling, and follow up. The truck and three movers showed up at the appropriate time. They took great care in making sure nothing was damaged. They worked extremely quickly and did the work in a fraction of the time I thought it would take. The truck was big and the movers were very skilled in using every inch of space in the truck. Over all the workers were hard working, pleasant, and efficient. The price was fair and we were completely satisfied. One of our earlier Bay Area moves required the movers to work into the night but they stuck to it and completed the move in one long day. We really appreciated that. I would highly recommend this company.

The crew arrived within at approximately 4pm, but within their stated 1-5pm window. It was their 2nd move of the day, but they were fast and efficient. They did lose 2 of the cams that went to my Ikea bed, but I was able to pick up extra's at the local Ikea store. Overall they did an excellent job and it was money well spent.

Ryan and David did an exceptional job. They had already worked on two jobs that day and the crew that was scheduled for our move was held up so they came back in to the office, got copies of our paperwork and did our move. It was very hot that day and they were still meticulous about handling everything just so, strapping things in place in the truck, and just making sure everything was taken care of as if it were their own. An absolutely amazing job!! I have had a horrible moving experience in the past and these guys just did it all right!
