Two Men and A Truck

Two movers from Two Men and a Truck arrived on time, gave a detailed estimate, went over exactly how the move would take place, wrapping each piece of furniture carefully, and placed each piece per instructions. They were good listeners and very professional. Price charged was very reasonable for work done.

They did a great job. Since it was only two doors down the crew (3 men) wheeled or carried things from one house to another. I was not organized and was really stressed about moving but they stepped in and took care of everything. They even cleaned out my attic space for me. I booked them for 4 hours and they made sure they stayed busy the entire time.

From my first contact with Two Men and a Truck via phone call, through the process of moving to the two gentlemen (and I do mean gentlemen!) I was very impressed with them. My sister and I were moving my 92 year old Father from his home of 53 years to a Senior Living Facility (which if anyone who has gone through this knows how hard it is on the family) and the two gentlemen could not have been more professional along with caring. They introduced themselves t us and even took the time to do so with my Father. They work very hard while being careful with our items. Wrapping everything carefully moving through the house so they didn't hit walls etc. When they arrived at the new location they moved quickly but again carefully to my father's new apartment. Placing everything where we asked making sure it was correct then setting up the bed. I just can't say enough about their service. HIGHLY recommend them!!

I contacted them twice to schedule my move and they never called me back. I went with Starving Students instead. After I was moved in, 3-4 weeks after my initial contact, they called back to see how they could help. I've tried to use places on Angie's List twice and had sub-standard experiences both times. Perhaps this isn't worth the membership.

Everything was perfect. The movers wee fast, courteous and personable.

The guys did a great job although their scheduling is tight and you have to really call several weeks in advance to make sure your on the schedule. The job cost me a bit more then I had planned but it was through no fault of theirs as I was closing escrow on my new house and my old the same day. There was a delay in the funding and we ended up at a storage facility where they started to unload my stuff when the agent called and told me to pick up my keys! They did a wonderful job, took great care of me and with only a couple of items damaged which they took care of immediately. I don't want to ever move against but if I do I will call Two Men and A Truck again.

Everything went perfect, we really do not have anything negative to say about Two Men and a Truck, the move went smoothly, the cost was reasonable, and the movers were excellent at what they did and had great attitudes. They treated my husband and I with respect. They went above and beyond and put our bed together for us. I have moved over 12 times in my life and this was the best company I have ever worked with. I would recommend Two Men and a Truck everyone.

The service started out perfect! They contacted us and made appointment to review the move. During the 2nd day - when loading the truck, I noted there was no 'inventory.' We were politely told that they do NOT perform inventory. They scheduled only one truck for the move. Late in the 2nd day of the move, they noted they could not load everything into one truck. Another truck & driver arrived, and they "stuffed" as much as possible into the 1st truck, and took away in a 2nd truck the additional household items left-over that we wanted moved. We were told the 2nd shipment would arrive approximately 1 week later than the 1st truck - as it would be routed through Phoenix, AZ with other household items from other families. The 1st truck did not arrive until around 3-4 PM in Dewey, AZ (which is where it was to be delivered). The movers worked until midnight and unloaded the entire truck. They were "over their time limit" at that point for total hours per day to work. Approximately one week later, another delivered occurred in Dewey, AZ.||It took us months later to find out that 2 lounge chairs, one packed box (which had contained the radio being listened to during the move - but packed LAST and placed in the 2nd truck), and at least one box of Christmas ornaments had NEVER arrived in Dewey. Of course - there is no way to 'prove' we were missing anything - because of Two Men and a Truck does NOT do inventory. Although the dollar amount of missing items is not substantial, the principle of believing that everything that was packed in Carmichael, CA would be delivered did, in fact, NOT occur. We cannot give the highest grade possible for this mover - because the trade standard of itemizing on an inventory sheet is NOT this company's standard.||When the driver and helper arrived (so late on the delivery day) - we were informed that they could have been delayed even further - but they were somehow (a miracle?) allowed to proceed - even though the truck was 7,000 pounds OVER the truck's loaded rating. (This sounds a bit shaky to us!) What we were told is they almost had to wait for a 2nd truck from Sacramento, CA to arrive and they would have had to off-load the excess 7,000 pounds into the 2nd truck. This did NOT occur, but the truck's excessive weight caused the truck to only be able to achieve 25 mph speed going up the mountains throughout the trip to Arizona. They were anticipating being in Dewey, AZ by 9 AM - but they were substantially later than that because of the additional weight being transported in the moving truck.||The individuals we dealt with were extremely polite and professional. The company policy of no inventory made it impossible to find out we had NOT received our entire shipment until many months after the delivery (which included the Christmas decorations/lighting box that we found missing when we started decorating mid December 2013).||Our advise - just think twice before choosing this company from Sacramento, CA.||Very sincerely,||||Dan & Nancy Hilton of Dewey, AZ

They were suppose to pack and unpack for me because I'm handicapped from Multiple Sclerosis and I'm in a wheelchair. When they arrived at my apartment at 8:45am in Rosemont they only had to pack up the kitchen, one bookcase in the living room and under the sink in the bathroom because my daughter had already packed up the bedroom and my caregiver and I had packed up the living room. This apartment was extremely small and my caregiver helped them pack up the kitchen when she got there at noon and saw that they were not yet finished!!!! The company sent me three "boys" at the rate of $168.00 per hour plus materials (boxes, paper & tape)and these children took their good ole time packing and putting boxes on the truck. THEY DID NOT FINISH AT THAT ITTY BITTY APARTMENT UNTIL 5:30PM THAT NIGHT!!!!! I called the company and spoke to Ron the man that set up the move an estimated that it would take 6 hours for 3 men at $168.00 per hour to pack me up move to Elk Grove and UNPACK ME!!! I told him that the these boys were playing around, talking to each other, and taking forever to pack boxes and put them in the truck and he said he would send their Supervisor out to my apartment immediately!! I was very happy with that answer! BUT that was 10am and at 11am when I called back Ron was no where to be found and the "boys" supervisor was probably with him cause they couldn't find him either!!! So that phone call at 10am didn't do me any good at all!!! So when the "boys" arrived at my apartment in Elk Grove it was about 6:30pm,Thank Goodness my daughter was there and she directed them as to how they should unload the truck and where to put the furniture and boxes. When it all ended it was around 9:30pm the slow motion truck loader hands me a invoice for approx. $2,150.00 and I just looked at him and said "I don't have Two Thousand Dollars". I ended up giving him a check for $1,500.00 which later I wished I hadn't done because of all the things I found broken or the unbelievable amount of paper used to wrap up the kitchen items or the HUGE SCRATCH on my bedroom dresser or my COMPUTER that doesn't work or the TRASH THAT PACKED UP SO THAT I COULD UNPACK 2 MONTHS LATER!!!!!! Since I'm doing all my own unpacking I'm still unpacking boxes & today is 1/6/14 |IN CONCLUSION I ENDED UP PAYING $1,750.00 FOR THE WORST MOVE EVER, MY Computer is still broken, my Dresser still has a huge scratch in it, I still have about 20 Boxes to Unpack, and all I can say is I was quoted "6hrs - $1,000.00 packing and unpacking incl. materials" AND I PAID "$1,750.00 FOR PACKING (remember half of the apt was already packed)AND MATERIALS. THEY TOOK 12 HOURS TO MOVE ME IT COST ME 60% MORE THEN IT SHOULD HAVE AND I STILL HAD TO UNPACK THE BOXES MYSELF!!!!!

I sent an email on December 29th and got generic emails about the company and moving but never heard back regarding an appointment. Then on Jan 6 I called again and connected with them but shortly after scheduling an appointment, I received a call from Christina asking me to email a detailed list of what I was moving so she would know if it is worth her time to come out. I cancelled the appointment to get an estimate. Other movers I contacted didn't ask for this info. Very disappointed as the reviews on Angie's List look good. I never got that far.

We are very happy with our experience with Two Men And A Truck. They came to our house to evaluate what we would need in the way of number of trucks and movers. The movers arrived exactly when they said they would. Everyone was professional, friendly and quite cheerful. A pleasure to be around. They took a lot of the stress away from a potentially stressful day. They didn't waste a minute of time loading and unloading the trucks. In fact, after carrying the furniture to the truck, they ran from the truck back to the house. This was no small feat. In both cases, they had to run up a steep hill. They wrapped each piece of furniture with pads and cellophane. Nothing got damaged. And before putting anything down on the wood floor, they put felt pads on the feet of the furniture. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to move.

Our house had been in escrow twice in the 6 to 8 weeks before we actually had a closing on the house. The financing had fallen-thru for both of them. We were into our 3rd sales contract, and after a couple weeks into it, our sales agent warned us that it was also falling apart. There had been early indications that this deal wasn't going to go through, so we weren't surprised. (Regarding the 1st and 3rd times, the problem wasn't with the buyers, who were well qualified. The lender, along with all of the new rules, was the problem...no surprise.) We'd already given up packing our things a couple weeks earlier...figuring that we'd try again in the spring. Then, all in one day, the buyers were able to work out the financing. Great news! But... we had 1 week to vacate the house. Wow. It was a big house with a lot of stuff. Two Men and a Truck was the only company that made us feel comfortable that they could actually get the job done in time. And they were true to their word. It took 3 "very full & long" days. On the third day, when "The Move" actually happend, they brought in 10 really good people to finish our job, along with 3 three trucks, just like they promised. (On such short notice, the other companies were prepared to provide only 1 or maybe 2 trucks, and no where near as many trained people. It just wouldn't have worked.) Along the way, we complicated things for Two Men. All of our stuff wouldn't fit into the rental house that we'd found...which we'd rented in a very big hurry. So, both the packing & moving for Two Men was complicated by sending a portion of the move into 2 storage lockers located a couple miles from our new home, which couldn't hold everything. This required a lot of figuring out "what goes where, and into what truck." The important thing is...They handled it. Two Men and Truck got it all done. What can we say?... They're very professional, very competent, and they'll get it done...and done right. We'll call them for our next move.

It went very well. They arrived promptly, worked quickly and efficiently, were very friendly and nice, yet very professional.

Movers were way above average, wrapped everything with pads and plastic. Excellent communicators who accommodated my wishes every time. Very fast, completed the move much quicker than expected.

Three movers showed up on time. After I signed the necessary paperwork they wrapped furniture as needed and packed items in truck. I did not require any box packing as I did that myself. The company had suggested that I use 3 movers instead of 2 and I was glad that I had agreed. They were careful and professional almost to a fault. The addressed me as "Sir" and referred to themselves that way as well. It was almost military in style. The worked quickly and efficiently. I went ahead to the storage unit after they had finished and had to wait about 20 minutes for the truck to arrive. I believe that they went to an adjoining storage facility by mistake as I saw the truck drive by where I was standing and then return about 10 minutes later. I do not fault them for this as the storage company I use is small and easily missed. When they did arrive they worked quickly to unload. I had two units, one on the first floor and the second on the second floor which required use of a freight elevator. They worked quickly unloading. Since most of my furniture is still inside these packed units I cannot be absolutely sure that nothing was dented or scratched but based on my observations I feel quite sure that everything arrived safely. I would use this company again for my next move from these storage units to my new house which is currently being built. I will, however, check around to price compare as this move will require more time.

Their estimates for time and cost were accurate. Two very nice guys showed up on time (called to give us a heads up) and did a very professional job. We even got a call the next day to let us know they'd found a couple of earrings when cleaning out the truck. All A's. They will be our first call in the future.

Our time estimate was between 12 pm and 4 pm, and they arrived around 1:30 pm. We dealt with Mario and Jarred, and both were very polite, quick, and treated our things better than we would have. Total move time was 4 hours, and worth every penny. I will absolutely use them again!

It was great. The two men arrived on time and immediately assessed the "how to" to make move,i.e., items involved, what needs to be wrapped for protection, need for closet wardrobe cartons, # of boxes, what item goes first etc. The move went quickly, efficiently, and professional. The two men were most polite and very helpful (i.e., wardrobe cartons?). They took great care in moving any item, assuring that the item was protected. They took their job seriously. They did this in the minium 3 hour window. No extra costs were involved.

The company-the three men who provided their services, and a truck-were prompt, efficient, and professional. From the initial paperwork and walk through at the old house to the final walk through and paperwork at the new location, the men were polite, responsive, and careful. Everything they moved arrived in exactly the condition it had been. They reassembled everything with care, placard items where I requested, then willingly moved things again when requested. Both time and cost came in slightly under the estimate ( another company had given a similar estimate), and the job was thoroughly professional. I would recommend them without reservation.

I sent them an email on a Tuesday that I needed help with a small move (just a few pieces of furniture) the following weekend. They called me within just a few hours of my email to them. While they were already booked for the weekend, they were able to book us for Friday instead. Two very nice, polite, and professional young men (Clayton and James, I believe) showed up early (after calling to ask if it was ok). They thoroughly explained all of the paperwork (the moving industry now has a ton of disclosures), and were very careful with our furniture, taking it downstairs and into their truck, and then moving some furniture upstairs. They checked with me before leaving to make sure they had accurate directions to my mom's house. At my mom's house, they not only set up the furniture that we had paid them to move, they also moved some other items, and even offered to stay and help with anything else (we had paid them for a minimum of 3 hours of work). They did a terrific job, and could not have been more professional and courteous.

They worked out very well. I chose them after finding them on Angie's List. The guys were really nice as well as the office staff. They arrived on time and finished the job early.
