Two Men and A Truck

Overall very satisfied considering the amount of "stuff" that was moved and some minor issues as delineated above.

We finally bought our house and needed a moving company. I read on Angie's List the reviews of Two Men and a Truck and were impressed with the comments made about them. My wife set the move all up and everything went great and without a hitch. The crew were very hard working and very respectful of our belongings. We would not hesitate to use them again. Overall, it went very well. There was one office person who was a bit overeager the day of the move with approaching me to consider moving up to a 3-person team (versus a 2-person team that I had scheduled) because a 3-person crew was coming from a larger move to move me. I knew I didn't have much to move, so I said No. He didn't really push and let it go after I said no. The movers came and said that I definitely didn't need three people. The entire move took less than 3 hours.

They were incredibly careful with all of our furniture and our house, while working quickly. The estimate I got was for $800, but the total was under $600!

The representative for ?Two Men and a Truck? was very thorough, like-able and efficient and seemed like it would be a good choice for our move. We received their bid by e-mail a day later. However, we did not chose them because their cost was significantly higher than an equally good moving company recommended by a neighbor. I was disappointed that the company we chose was not included in Angie?s list of movers.

They were all very professional yet friendly. They arrived on time. They worked non-stop and got done before their estimated time. They packed the storage unit very well and organized. I would not hesitate to use them in the future!

It has been approximately three weeks since they did the work. So far no property is missing. I conclude that they were honest hard working people; but a little sloppy.

From the start this was a wonderful experience. Although I initially spoke with Paris about our upcoming move, by the time I needed to make arrangements, Sara took care of me. Sara was extremely patient in setting up all of the details, answering my questions, as well as asking questions I hadn't thought of previously. After our discussion, we decided to go for a two-step approach to this project. Pack on one day and move the times to destination #1 (mother-in-law's apartment) and destination #2 (long-term storage) on another day. On the packing day, Manzie and Travis showed up exactly on time. They worked quickly and carefully to package and wrap the fragile items and artwork we needed to move for my mother-in-law. Even though I was pretty particular on how I wanted the boxes labeled for long-term storage, Manzie and Travis were extremely helpful and accommodating. All packing was completed in about 3 hours. Two days later was the 2-step move. Again, Manzie and Travis showed up right on time and ready to work. Being familiar with the goal of the transfer they set to work quickly loading the truck in a logical manner. The long-term storage items were placed on the truck first (as this would be our second stop) and the items to be moved to my mother-in-law's apartment were loaded last (since we would stop by her place first and unload immediately). After a relatively quick drive (3/4 hour), Manzie and Travis set to work unloading the items into my mother-in-law's apartment. Both men were extremely courteous to my elderly mother-in-law and made her feel very comfortable. Immediately after we went directly to the storage facility and carefully unloaded the remaining items into long-term storage. Throughout the entire process Manzie and Travis were very courteous, professional and extremely helpful. Although I was alone (I'm a woman) with both men for the majority of this project, I felt extremely comfortable and at ease the entire time. Two Men and A Truck is a fantastic company and I would highly recommend their services without reservation. I'm glad I did my homework beforehand to find them on Angie's List because I am very pleased with the results. A most WONDERFUL moving experience.

Good experience. The scheduling person Sara was quite pleasant and responsive to our specific needs.

Arrived at exactly the time they said they would be here. Furniture, appliances, big screen TV, roll top desks, table saw, gas BBQ, tool chest, etc. were carefully wrapped in padded covers and shrink wrapped if needed and everything was delivered to our destination safely. Duane, Denny, and John were great! and I would definitely highly recommend this company to anyone that has to move!!!!

Went great. They called ahead and started hours earlier because they had a cancellation. The worked quickly and efficiently. This is my second move with them and I'm still happy.

Christine was very pleasant and helpful while arranging our move over the phone. The movers (Mike, Justin, and David) were friendly, professional and very careful with our stuff. The whole move-out and move-in process took only 6 hours and all our furniture came through with no damage. Even the grand piano was moved safely. The movers showed up right on time and worked hard to make the move happen in a timely manner. These guys were great!

My first contact with the company was with the owner Chad. A great informative and responsive owner. My next contact was with the Office Manager, Bonnie. She was organized and knowledgeable about the company and what could be accomplished. She set up our moving date exactly on the day and time we needed. Our move was complicated and eventually spanned 2 full days. We had the same moving team each day and they were the best! Jonathan, Denny and Mike were punctual, clean & neat, constantly working, well mannered and receptive to suggestions. The team went over and above what was expected. Jonathan even arranged my many boxes of decorations in my garage so it would not be a mess when they left. This is a professional and well organized company. Be assured they will do their best to complete your move successfully.

I haven't seen two guys and their truck work so hard in a space of about 8 hours in a long, long time. Hard work, very careful, very thorough. Great attitude. Much of my furniture is very big and very heavy. Thanks Paul and Denny!!!

Two men and a truck showed up promptly and working steadily took a bit over three hours to pack up our household goods and load them onto the truck - they packed carefully, and came prepared with many pads and a roll of sticky wrap, which facilitated the work. Objects were placed and secured carefully within the truck, transported and unloaded, placed within specified rooms in new house. The movers, James and Paul, were courteous, accurate, extremely professional and most helpful in every way. Paperwork was accurate, everything was truly excellent.

I was moving from a 1500+ s.f. home in Carmichael wich had been my parents home since 1974! not to mention they had been married for 64 years so I had lots of "things" to deal with as well as the probate sale of the house itself. Bonnie was fantastic, she listened carefully to all the concerns I had about the items I needed moved, and was very patient about my needs and timming issues being so complicated. She provided me with a best case/worst case estimate to start with revised our arrangements as things progressed until, finally it was moving day. The Two gentlemen that came out exactly when they said they would arrive were fantastic beyond words. They worked so hard non-stop, and really took especially good care of each and every item they handled. They were really so sweet and even made the worst part of my move pleasant and sort of fun (if you can call moving fun). They handled all my heirlooms and boxes as though they were there own! I would and will be using them again in the future, and would highly recomend this great team to any and all who are facing any type of move! I've never felt so taken care of by a buisness as I do with this one!

I set-up an appointment for the estimate. I had to cancel an hour before the appointment, but left a voice mail message for the estimator to reschedule on a specific date/time and get back to me. The employee was already on the way to my address and didn't get the message until back at the office. The employee never returned my call. To me, that represents a complete lack of professionalism. I won't contact this company in the future.

Very good experience except for three very negative events. First, they deeply scratched the top of a wood hutch. (My sister chose to repair it herself). Second, a worker commented his employer doesn't pay much so they take a lot of breaks (at the customer's expense). Third, I was charged for an hour more than I was quoted. The pre-move Confirmation Letter states 1 truck, 2 workers, $115.00/per hour, zero travel charge. They started at 8:30am, finished at 2:00pm, claimed a 15 minute break, and charged me for 6.5 hours. On 9/11/08 I called my contact, Bonnie. She claimed the crew did not explain the extra charge well. Neither Bonnie nor the crew ever mentioned an extra charge. There was nothing in the paperwork to indicate such a charge. Bonnie said she would check into it but I have never heard back.

It was a remarkably easy day and you don't say that everyday when moving.

Arrangements were handled clearly and professionally, and there were no surprises when it came time to settle up. The movers did an excellent job. They arrived promptly, took great care with my goods, worked quickly and efficiently, and were friendly. Minimal supervision was necessary. This was my first experience with a moving company, and it was not at all intimidating. I highly recommend them!

We needed to have some of our furniture and belongings from the Sacramento area delivered to storage in Grass Valley; the rest of the items needed to continue on to our home in Sierra. From start to finish they were responsive to our needs, friendly, extremely efficient and professional, and NOTHING was delivered to the wrong place! (A first for us!) Everything arrived in perfect condition. We couldn't be happier with their services, and would recommend them to anyone.

My experience with them was fair. We had a piece of furniture broken. It was definitely their fault. They are paying for a portion of the broken furniture. The fridge was hard to get out and they scratched the door in a few places. We told them to take off the doors but they didn't do it. They worked hard all day.

They handled making the appointment courteously and professionally. They scheduled the work when I needed it done. They confirmed 2 days in advance. They arrived on time with the right equipment. The 2 men had a "can-do" attitude immediately and I was sure it would be okay. They knew how to get done what I wanted and how I wanted it. Terrific! And they finished within the 3 hour minimum!

I filled out the company's online quote request form from their website and I was contacted by telephone within 2 hours. The customer representative, Theresa, was very professional and clearly spelled out the company's policies and price structure. I called on a Wednesday and due to a cancellation, I was able to be moved the following Saturday. The two movers, Duane and Ed, arrived at 8:15 (I was told to expect them between 8 and 9). They were clean and professional. Duane clearly explained the forms I needed to sign and reiterated the pricing structure (3-hour minimum with additional time charged in 15 minute increments--the clock did not start until after we had completed the paperwork and the men had actually started moving things). They had all the necessary equipment and made moving look easy! My furniture has never been treated so well -- padded and wrapped and handled gently. They worked steadily and did not take any breaks. The contents of the entire house were in the truck in under 2 hours. After driving to Fair Oaks, they made quick work of unloading and were very understanding about where I wanted things placed. The entire process was completed in 3.5 hours. I was very impressed by their professionalism, courtesy and friendliness. I would definitely use them again.

Perfect and to my expectations. Did not waste time took just one break and I had to request them to take an break extra as the work was very hard. You can use them.
