We couldn?t be happier with the whole experience! Kim gave us a competitive bid, but pictures of her past work and her clear knowledge when speaking with her are what convinced us to use Stoddard Tile. Kim came when she told us, took care with our house and got all of the work done in a day and a half. The kitchen looks amazing; we would recommend her to anyone looking for tile work.

All went very well. Upon initial inspection, Kim gave us her design inputs and also suggested that we have one wall switch moved slightly to ensure a neatly finished edge on one wall. When the tile and grout arrived, we promptly scheduled the installation. She arrived on time, was professional, and ensured that our floors were protected. She thoroughly cleaned up after working each day (the installation took one and a half days). After she left, I noted a small discrepancy on one tile. I contacted her and we promptly scheduled a return visit to fix the bad tile. Again she arrived on time and promptly fixed the problem. We're very satisfied with her work and will use her again if we have any further need for tile installation.

We have just bought a new home with stone tile floors and granite countertops. Before moving in and starting a (surely messy!) family, we wanted to have the tile cleaned and sealed. Kim was available very quickly to come over for an estimate, and walked through every part of the house and described what she would recommend having done. She even offered some services I hadn't thought of. She also informed me that some of the tile was already sealed and so wouldn't require any service from her, and I appreciate her honesty. She got the full quote to me within a couple of days and was available to complete the service within a couple more once I got back to her. She came and did the job herself with one helper, whom I observed her working with closely. She was very professional with good follow-up, my only qualm was the price. But I guess you get what you pay for.

first 2 days arrived on time, worked most of day, on third day said they would be here at noon, no one arrived, no phone call, we had to call them and they had been held up at another job, a courtesy call would have been appreciated, then told they were on their way which took another 2 hours which is why they have been marked down on punctuality. we waited in all afternoon on our one day off. customer service needs improving in this area

I called Kim at noon, and she said that she'd have time during the week to do the job that I described. She said she'd come to the house at 3:30 to give me an estimate. After arriving , on time, she inspected my bathroom and gave me an estimate, based on the time it would take her to do the job. I accepted her bid and she said that she could actually start right away. Kim did a great job and was finished on time.

I had previous dealings with Staddard. They have came out before and did grout repair. They did an excellent job and was very nice.

Kim was the ultimate professional throughout the entire job! She is extremely knowledgeable, and we could tell immediately that the historic nature of our 1926 bathroom was important to her. She maintained communication throughout the entire job, and we always felt we knew what was going on with the project. We also especially appreciated the fact that she put down tarps throughout the entire house - from doorway to bathroom. At the end of each day, the site was very clean and she even mopped the bathroom floor at the end of the project. We would work with her again in a heartbeat!

This job was many months in gestation as we decided colors, textures, and layouts. Kim was very patient with our process (working with myself and my wife) as we negotiated our preferences. The patio included three different generations of concrete (starting in 1928) and required an additional concrete portion to complete the design. Kim made sure that the concrete was sound and properly prepared, that the sections were level (some tiles as large as 20 X 20) and drained properly. She provided guidance on design proportions and dovetailed gracefully with our idiosyncratic creative process. Most thrilling was seeing our design come to life as Kim executed our image into reality! Kim's instinct for tile placement and design integration is deft and to-die-for accurate!

Kim Stoddard, company owner, gave us a very detailed bid. Although it was not the lowest bid, every step of the project was laid out in sequence, with labor and materials exactly and clearly priced. The other bids we got were not always clear and required many phone calls to correct duplications or omissions in the scope of work. Kim was very helpful in educating us about tile selection and even collected some samples from tile stores for us. Kim and her helper cooperated and coordinated with other contractors on the job, which prevented undue stress and anxiety on everyone's part! Before starting the work, Kim saw me working on the counter with fresh blackberries and was concerned about future tile and grout stains. She researched sealers and told us of an advanced sealer for the kitchyen counters, which we applied ourselves. The whole job was done on schedule with minimal mess and disruption to our comings and goings. We are extremely happy with all of her tile work.

First, not everyone will come out to do small jobs or repairs. Kim returned my call the next day to set up an appointment. This was a small repair and she was willing and able to provide a quote over the phone which was acceptable. On the day of the appointment she called to say she had finished another job early and was able to start early which worked great for us. She got right down to business and did an excellent tile repair. I noticed that she used a vacuum while she was cutting out the old tile and this helped immensely with clean-up. Nice job at a reasonable price. I

Kim Stoddard was great to work with. She came over after I contacted her to show me tile samples and take measurements. My home was built in 1949 and had the original tile (pink and burgundy) but the tile around the bathtub was removed because of water damage. I wanted to match the burgundy trim, but I was not sure about the pink. Kim found a perfect match for the trim and accent. Then she looked around to find an off-white with a pink tint that was perfect! She was very competent and friendly and easy to work with. She and her helper worked very hard and got the work done quickly. It was all done in 2 days and one morning. It looks beautiful! I am very happy with the results.

Kim Stoddard of Stoddard Tile did return my initial call later than others I had contacted (about one week), but after we hired Kim to do our project, she was readily available by phone and e-mail. I am definitely glad we chose to work with Kim. She was very professional and actual came to the estimate with supplies to determine how best to manage some of the damage to our grout in our shower enclosure. During the estimate, she clearly explained what she would do and was readily able to identify the products she would use to repair our shower enclosure. She did the job over the course of three days and was very meticulous, detailed, and thorough. Furthermore, during her work, she was able to identify areas in our tiled bathroom that definitely needed repair and work and provided excellent quotes on repair of the identified areas. After the job was complete, she gave us a follow up call several days later to check in to see if we were satisfied with the job and provided great recommendations on how to keep our marble tile clean and well maintained. In reviewing Stoddard Tile's website, it is clear to me that we underutilized Kim's skills in tile installation, but I am glad that she was able to apply her time, expertise, and care to our project at what I thought was a great price.

Kim was personable, professional, competent and efficient every step of the way. I never used her before, found her on Angie's List, and during the 24 years that I have engaged contractors, found her to be the easiest to work with.

A plumber that I had had doing some work, broke several tiles under my toilet. Because it was a small repair job, I was unsure if any company would be interested. Kim responded promptly when I called, came out quickly for an estimate and scheduled a date to do the work. Initially I asked if she could replace some cracked tiles in my counter top as well, however, though Kim searched, she could not find a good enough tile match for that part of the project. She finished in two hours, removing and replacing the toilet as part of the job. I was very pleased with the quality of her work and her professionalism.

She was very punctial ( always on time), and she has good communication skills, She completed the job rather then taking other new jobs. She was profesional and truthworhty. She is very good at her profession. I thought she gave a good price. No job is to small for her, and she has been doing business for 29 years.
