They carefully tore out the damaged concrete, applied a protective sleeve to the pipe, and repoured, including rebar and appropriate framing, to an extra depth to secure a stronger edge. This required coordination with a landscape contractor to repair a leaking sprinkler head adjacent to the concrete edge while the pipe was exposed. There was a little breakdown in communication in coordinating all parties, including the homeowner who wanted to be present for the repair, but overall done in a timely manner, particularly considering the minor nature of the job. They worked it into their busy schedule within three days after approval to proceed. High quality workmanship.

I have an "assembly-required" shed that needs to be put up. I prefer to have it on a small slab, 7' x 7'. I contacted them for an estimate with all the details, and they never contacted me back with the estmated cost.

This was the 2nd time I have used PMT. Quick and they do what they say they are going to do. The concrete work looks great and is done very well. They take necessary liability precautions to tape/barracade off the work area. The only areas I caution people in are: get a quote in writing because "Will" unintentionally forgets aspects of the job and tries to add additional costs in AFTER he gives a quote. (Such as the cost of a clean-out access or using a credit card). I also had a tenant complain about how they un-kindly yelled at one of their employees to do a bunch of work. (I cannot verify this happened as I was not there but the tenant "felt sorry" for the worker) This sounds a bit unprofessional. Overall, I will use them again. Good price, quality of work and very timely.

Replaced concrete walkway. PMT first removed 15 feet of concrete walkway on the side of my house and removed a tree root under it which was raising the walkway and a new gate. (I was told by PMT that the root was removed. Penny, the owner, assured me that he would actually supervise removal of the root after I told him that Borg Fence, who had replaced the gate, had also told me they would remove the root.)The workers came out and started the job the day after I approved the estimate. My only concern was that they poured this section of walkway at an angle to the existing walkway and driveway, probably due to the existing fence. I wish they had consulted me about the degree of this angle, I think it could have been minimized by making it a few inched closer to the fence, though this would have made it meet unevenly with the back patio.They did not come back to remove the forms when they said that they would, and after a few days I removed them myself.

For liability reasons, I was very pleased at the extent of barricading off the sidewalk during the process. The only reason I did not give them an "A" rating is because they failed to tell me the City would be charging me directly for an arborists fee ($150). "Will" at PMT said the city had changed their policy of billing/charging for this and we agreed to "split the cost". In addition to this unexpected cost, they added on a chargecard fee of 3%. Overall, they did an excellent job. It could not look any better. I would not hesitate using them again.

They are wonderful, there were about 20 of them and they were here til about 9 at night we had to get flood lights for them to finish, they decided to pour the concrete that night because it was going to rain the next day. they were good

Peni was great. I called him Monday and asked when he could start (I had him do an estimate the month before). He said he could come out the next day, Tuesday, and finish Friday. I asked if he could finish the same day, as this was a Christmas present for my husband (thanks, Mom!). He said, "No problem." And, it was no problem for Peni! He did the whole driveway, including tearout and back patio area, in 1 day. They were cleaning up when my shocked husband got home. Thanks for helping with our Christmas present, Peni! You rock! Oh, and the driveway looks beautiful! My very picky hubby was very pleased.

The workers arrived on time ready for the job. They were friendly, professional ,and efficient. The job was completed on time , with excellent results. I would use these responsible people again and recommend P.M.T. concrete to others

I contacted Penny on a Thursday, he provided me with an estimate on Friday and he started work on Monday. The patio was finished on Tuesday and looks outstanding. I had originally received the estimate for a 15X10 patio but after talking with Penny and his crew, they advised me to go to 18X12. The best part is they only charged me an extra $100 for the extra concrete and work. These guys provided top notch service from start to finish and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Peni gave a competitive bid; I had 3 estimates in all. He started the job when he said he would, and finished on time, which was two weeks later. He was patient and his crew was polite. They did a very nice job in the confines of a tough situation. I would not only hire him again, but would recommend him to my neighbors and friends.

This work was done in July of 2007. I may have already submitted a report. PMT did an excellent job from start to finish. They gave me a good bid and started the work two days later at exactly 8:00 am. The team was very professional, knew what they were doing, and the work was done in one day. It was what I considered a big job and I would hire them again.

PMT provided me with a very competitive bid for the new circular driveway. It was the lowest of four quotes for the job and while it was still more than I wanted to pay, I decided to go ahead because the company had good references. On the day they were scheduled to start I waited most of the day and the crew showed up at around 3:00 in the afternoon. These guys were like bumblebees, swarming over the site, digging and hauling off extra dirt and rocks, building forms and leveling things. It was fortunate that I could be there since they began the job by removing my chalk lines where the driveway was supposed to be. The curves under the existing trees were critical and I needed to make sure there were conduits for irrigation and lighting under the new concrete. By the time these guys were ready to go, it was dark and hard to see the forms. We made several adjustments in the dark and I signed off on the forms at about 9:30 at night with the promise they would pour the following day. They showed up at 6:30 the next morning and the concrete trucks were close behind. They poured the driveway and were done with the work by 11:00 am. I was stunned at how quickly the job went. The work PMT did was excellent. The finishes were well done and the expansion joints and connections to the curb were great. After a year and a half, there is only one very small area where a crack has formed but otherwise it has performed well. My only complaint is that one of the curves in the driveway is too tight and it is difficult to drive around it without one wheel dropping into the planted area. The problem was that it was formed up and approved in the dark and there was no time to review and adjust the curve the next morning. The workmanship was excellent, the price was right and I would recommend PMT. I also recommend that you watch the forming carefully and make sure it is were you wanted, Don't let them rush you into a decision and approval.

Excellent! Ideally, I expect six things from a contractor: 1) arriving for the initial scheduled appointment on time, 2) quick response to my request for a bid on work, 3) a good price, 4) excellent work quality, 5) good communication along the way about where things stand, and 6) a clean work site when complete. PMT concrete met or exceeded on all points. Peni, the owner, and his hard-working crew were great to deal with and flexible on my needs. I created a simple contract that guided the work and Peni was agreeable to signing that. They were efficient and provided an excellent finished product. They were also very safe in that they fenced off the area at night (with plastic fencing, cones, and yellow crime scene tape so that no one would enter and hurt themselves on my property. I will use them again for future concrete removal or new construction. You may have slight difficulty understanding Peni when he is on a cell phone connection because of his accent (he and his team are from Tonga), but I was not put off by this because he was constantly checking in, and in-person communications are no problem. update - I have had several construction-related people come by the project and each has noted (unprompted) that the company that did the foundation did a good job.

The contractor gave us a great price and was able to start right away. The driveway and patio look great. A crack did develop a day after the pour, they did come fix after the concrete had set which was free of charge. Our only complaint was they were not great at returning phone class which made it hard to figure out how to get the repair fixed and when.

On time and on budget, all the way! Couldn't have gone more smoothly!

The project took a little longer(one day) than expected because of tree roots and fixing the sprinkler piping. Otherwise it went very well. We were surprised at how close the exposed aggregate matched due to the age of the original patio!!!

They showed up when they said they would and completed the job in three days. They did excellent work and were very pleasant to deal with. Their price was actually the lowest of five bids. We would absolutely choose them again.

These guys are sloppy and do shoddy work. There was no written contract, which I should have gotten but didn't (lesson learned). They replaced a roughly 10 square foot section of white concrete with a dark gray pour that was nowhere near the match of the original which was white. Peni, the owner, told me that it would lighten as it dried. In fact it has dried with a terrible mish mash of light and dark sections. Also, his crew dumped the old concerete and dirt in our far back yard apparently thinking we wouldn't notice. In addition, they dropped globs of new concrete in our front yard. I had them come back and clean up, but it still killed our grass. Avoid these guys at all costs. They're terrible at what they do. I had some other concerete poured by a company that repaired our water lines and they did a much better job and it's not even their main line of work.

I chose PMT Concrete from Angie's list, called and had an estimate that day. Job was scheduled and commenced on time, with Peni as the team leader. All involved were very professional and the attention to detail and quality of the job was admirable. Their input was also valuable in deciding the most functional design. We would definitely use them again for any other concrete work and have already recommended them to a neighbor.

P.M.T. responded quickly with a very reasonable price. Work was completed within the next few days. Quality was beyond expectations. Sculpting around trees was craftsman-like and well, "beautiful". Would highly recommend this company.

PMT had lots of great comments on this site so we called to get an estimate for having our pool deck replaced. Last year we had an overlay and it is failing (JUST SAY "NO" TO OVERLAYS!). Since we are having the pool remodeled we wanted an estimate on having the existing cement deck jack hammered up and replaced. PMT was out the same day! We were told he would call back with an estimate (or email it) and he would have someone who specialized in overlays contact us in case repair was possible. Great! Only we never heard back from them again......

I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for a concrete patio in our backyard with PMT and was told the owner Peni would come out for the estimate. After waiting for half an hour past the appointment, I called the office and his assistant said that he would be there soon. I called the office again when he was over an hour late and said that I wanted to cancel the appointment for the estimate. I guess his assistant was able to get a hold of him after that because a few minutes after I hung up Peni called me and said "You're cancelling on me?!" without even introducing himself or his business. He was very agitated with me and I felt very affronted because he was the one who was over an hour late. I told him that I had already waited over an hour for him and that I had other errands to run. I would not recommend this company to anyone. After that phone call from Peni I was actually scared he would show up anyways and yell at me some more.

It was a good experience. They were responsive, quick, did a good job, and I had a positive experience with them.
