PMT Concrete

I called PMT Concrete and the man that did the work came out the next day and gave an estimate to resurface a concrete porch and the work was completed that same week. The finished porch looked good and I paid Peni, the owner, who informed me that they needed more money due to the extras required, which I paid, however, I was annoyed in that the extra charge should have been discussed earlier in the process. After drying a day, the concrete developed a white substance that discolored the concrete. Research indicated that the white substance was mainly salt that had seeped to the surface in the drying process called efflorescence and is not easily removed. I called Peni's wife on two occasions and never received a call back. I am very disappointed in the final product, that will need additional work, and cannot recommend PMT Concrete. In retrospect, one should never pay for a concrete job until it is fully dried.

They were great. They came out Friday but they were back at Saturday morning, and get the whole job before noon on Saturday. Those are amazing and the guys were great. They did a really good, high quality job.

I called Peni at PMT June 12 to get an estimate for the job. I told him that I had to coordinate his work with a plumber who was replacing a cleanout in the driveway and the tenants. Will called on June 16 from the job site, but I missed his call. Beverly called later with the estimate and I told her that I would get back to her with a date after the plumber called me back. Three plumbers and several patient calls from Beverly later we finally set July 30-August 1 as the date for the installation. They started demolition at 11:00am July 30, formed and set the rebar that day and poured at 6:00am on July 31 which was a very hot day, so I appreciated the early pour in the cool of the day. I went to look at the completed job on August 2nd and it was probably the most beautiful concrete work for a simple driveway that I have ever seen. The quality of PMT's work far exceeded what I was expecting. I would use them again any time. I would also like to commend Beverly for her patience and humor at getting us through this process. PMT is a high class company!

They showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, were very polite, and did a good job.

They repaired about 18 feet of sidewalk. They did the work while I was gone. I think it took about two days and I think there were two men working on the sidewalk. There was nothing I disliked about the company. The price was reasonable. They were very experienced and knowledgable. I've already referred someone to this company.

It went well. The whole job was done in one day. Penny and his crew were very excited to do the work and did it well.

From the estimate to the completion of the project, everything went unhitched. Peni & his crew were punctual and got the project done relatively quickly. They did a quality job . My sidewalk still looks great a year later, no cracks or any problems. The only criticism I have is that the workers did leave their trash in my side yard instead of using the dumpster about 5 feet away, but I am happy overall with the service they provided and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

They spent as much time as was need to form the concrete to beveled edges and make sure it was even with the old concrete. They communicated their plan very well and they were all extremely courteous.

The owner, Peny, came and gave me an estimate last Friday and I choose him and his crew largely because of his positive attitude and that they could start and finish the job in a few days. I called him Saturday to confirm the job and starting date. They started the work this Monday and poured on Wednesday. There were several unforeseen problems that popped up and the crew took it all in stride and completed the work with minimal delay. For one, they had to work with this tough clay soil and MANY roots from nearby trees. A pipe that was supposed to be buried deeper by another contractor was hit but the crew repaired it on their own. Lastly, there was a hidden main water valve below the site of one of the drive strips. It was buried under 6" of lawn and dirt! They carefully worked around it and installed a drive box over the valve. I asked for the drive strips to be stamped to blend in with the rocks in my landscaping and they did so at minimal extra cost. It all looks beautiful. I would not hesitate to use PMT for any concrete work again. Thank you Angie's List!

We couldn't be happier with the work that PMT Concrete did for us. Their bid was fair, their service was great, and there were no surprises. Everything about PMT was extremely professional. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PMT CONCRETE.

As usual, PMT did a great job. He was originally going to just widen two rental driveways, but talked me into totally replacing both of them because one was slightly lifted and cracked by a tree limb, and the other one was a patchwork of two or three efforts in the past. He and his men arrived on time, had all the equipment necessary, and worked like a bunch of little beavers. It took all day and when they were finished they cleaned up after themselves and put up barriars so no one could cross over the driveways. I have used PMT before and I knew they were capable of a good job. I wasn't disappointed.

Peni was a pleasure to work with and his crew appeared to be efficient. Even when the bank made an error, on their part, Peni responded to my call, so that I was able to obtain information and call bank and have them correct their error.

PMT was fast to provide an estimate and the estimate was well within my budget. For the amount of work completed, and the number of men on the job for two days, the price was very reasonable. The estimate was provided on Monday and they started on Tuesday morning with all work completed by Wednesday evening. This crew came to work on time all the way from Sacramento to Fairfield each day. The crew was 5 to 6 men and all the equipment needed for the job. They went right to work and all stayed on the job both days until the work was completed. Mr. Peni was helpful and provided advice where needed. He made no attempt to up sell the work and installed exactly what I wanted. I was having a new storage building installed at the same time and Peni worked around that job with out a problem. I would recommend this company to any one wanting quality concrete work.

These guys were prompt and very friendly and they never stopped working. The job was well done for the price. The men were highly professional and immediately checked with me if they had a question and they made good suggestions. Fortunately the work actually fixed two "standing water" issues I had and corrected a drainage problem. The entire job was done in one day! A few weeks after the work was completed, my neighbor advised me the workers broke a sprinkler line. Apparently, my neighbor's sprinkler line was on my property. I am fixing the sprinkler.

Very punctual. They responded within hours of a request for an estimate. Started the job the next day. They did other work as we'll but I would recommend that they only do concrete related work.

Peni arrived to provide a bid within a short time of our phone call. We waited several days for another estimate (which did not include replacing the driveway), and planned to receive a third bid. We felt good about Peni, his bid seemed fair, and we were impressed with his many outstanding reviews on Angie's List. Also, he was ready and eager to start the job right away, so we did not wait for a third bid and went ahead with his company. We're very glad we did. Peni and his crew (of 7 or 8) arrived right on time as scheduled and got to work immediately. We were impressed with the way they coordinated their efforts and were very efficient. Also, it was good to see the way they all got along - lots of laughter as they worked, although it didn't slow them down a bit. That speaks well for the way Peni treats his employees. We are especially pleased that the mow strip was installed with forms placed several inches into the ground and reinforced with rebar, making it very stable and unlikely to break. They completed the entire job and cleaned everything up in 3 days, much faster than we expected. We're very happy with the result and will certainly contact Peni again for future concrete/landscaping work.

They did an exceptional ob of working around our parking needs and were very careful with the new landscaping that had been done in the yard. They were always on time and very considerate of our comings and goings. responded to all are questions and concerns in real time. Very highly recommend them to anyone whether a small job or large one like ours.

Penni came out to give an estimate for a patio to replace our rotting deck at 1030 am. By 1130 he had his crew over and by 6 pm they had not only poured the new patio, they hauled away all the rotted wood from the deck. We also asked him if he would pour a slab for a shed and he added it onto the job without blinking.

It actually was fun for me interacting with the crew throughout the three and 1/2 days of work. There were crews of three to eight working the various phases of work. My wife and I were quite impressed with their teamwork and apparent experience. They did their work as a team when the workload called for it but certain individuals performed particular jobs such as cutting tile, grouting, plumbing (the relocation of a sprinkler line and head) or electrical repair (an underground power line for the pool was accidentally cut during concrete removal --- even I did not know it was there), forming, edging and finishing All of the work was fairly well scheduled. They removed and hauled all the broken concrete pieces. They formed all the proposed new work to our desired layout and satisfaction. They poured the concrete and screed with care not damaging existing plants, fence, entry, garage and patio areas. They stamped the new drive and walkway. There was a one day break (Friday) to allow the new concrete to set prior to removing the forms on Saturday morning. They swept and removed the bulk of the coloring powder. They filled in, with earlier removed soil, along the edges of the new work. The cleanup was thorough. We are very satisfied with all of the work performed and already are receiving compliments from neighbors. We highly recommend P.M.T Concrete and crew for this type of work!

As soon as we called PMT, Peni set up an appointment with us at our earliest convenience. We discussed our thoughts for the backyard. Peni listened to all our concerns, gave us some options and constructive feedback. He was able to provide us with an estimate within 15 minutes and his pricing was competitive with other top rated contractors on Angie?s List. He could even start work the next day, and complete the project in 3 days. Everything was done on schedule and there was never any extra cost added to the original estimate. His crew does quality work with speed and efficiency. We are very happy with the work they've done. We highly recommend PMT. In fact, we are thinking of another project for the Spring, and we will be calling PMT for help.

Both Penni and I underestimated the amount of work required to remove what appeared to be two fairly small walls, but Penni and his crew started right away and they busted their butts to get everything done!!! They worked tirelessly and ended up hauling away a MASSIVE amount of concrete thanks to the more than 2 foot deep footing these walls actually had. In the end my yard was left beautifully clean and ready for new landscaping, and I have zero complaints. They even had to be careful because my fence is also falling apart (but that's another job), and yet they removed everything that was right up against it without any damage--which is VERY impressive since if you just bump the fence, parts will fall off due to the dry rot. These are the only guys I will ever use, and will highly recommend them to anyone!

Peni came out immediately and provided a estimate. He discussed various options and detailed what the estimate would cover. His estimate was significantly lower than other bids (all off Angie's list). His crew arrived on time and immediately began to work, even an attack by wasps didn't stop them. They completed the job in one day, as promised. I would definitely recommend PMT and would encourage anyone to check with them before selecting a contractor.

The team lead fist took an estimate and listen to all my concerns and suggestion. He also gave constructive feedback on other options. On the day of, the team executed the framing quickly and effectively. Same goes with the execution of the cement pour. After several days after the pour, the team also helped me in re assembling my driveway fence which was appreciated since it was not part of the requested job.

The City seems to be requirng residents in my older neighborhood to replace sidewalks. Several neighbors talked with PMT about them doing all our sidewalks. The City gave me a couple days notice that they would replace the curb and gutter. The curb and gutter work damaged the sidewalk and they packed asphalt in the damaged areas. I called PMT and asked if they could replace my sidewalk quickly to avoid potential liability problems with the uneven sidewalk. PMT came out the day that I called and put up barriers on my sidewalk, they removed the old sidewalk the next day and poured the new sidewalk.The city inspected it and it met their specs. All the concrete was removed and the area was left clean. I appreciate PMT coming out on short notice and replacing the sidewalk.
