PMT Concrete

I had someone else to the excavation work and the forms, the bid for the time and materials for the concrete was too high so I called a few places after I signed up for Angie's List. I called for a bid and Peni came out the next day. I told him what I needed and the price was right. Two days later, PMT was at my house pouring concrete. They did have another job around the corner so Peni was going between both houses and constantly checking on progress. Since there was another job nearby (it really was literally right around the corner), it worked out well for both of us because PMT already had a load for the ready-mix truck. Because the jobs were so close, I don't think there were separate delivery charges for the concrete saving some extra time and money.

Rep showed up on time and was helpful with information, but overall price was too high for our budget on this project. Might possibly call them again on other projects, though.

The job was handled in an expeditious manner. Made contact with the company in the AM, received a quote in the PM the same day and job was started and completed the following day.

They were very quick and everyone was very nice. They moved my stuff very carefully when they had to. I would recommend them and use them again.

PMT was great to work with from start to finish. What really impressed us was their speed and efficiency. We called to get a quote late one afternoon, and their nice admin asst who answers the phone said Peni could be out that night to check out our property. He paid us a visit, and we got an estimate for plain colored concrete as well as stamped colored concrete. We decided to go with just plain colored because we couldn't personally justify the added cost for stamped for such a small space. We ended up adding the salt finish at the end (which was a nominal $100-ish extra). The plan was that Peni's team would show up on a Tuesday morning to grade the space and set the forms, then return the next day to pour. We were very impressed that they ended up completing the entire space - poured and salted - all the same day! We are very happy with their work. Our only "concern" was that the final cost, even taking into account the added salt, was a few hundred more than the original verbal estimate of $1800 (written estimate for stamped was $2700, then later verbal was $2900). But we felt their work was great and didn't feel too badly about it. We are very happy with our patio and would recommend them and use them again if we have the opportunity. We also liked that they are a family business and live in our neighborhood. Very nice and reliable people. We are glad we found them on Angie's List!

They were very courteous and they did a very good job. They were the lowest price among those that I called for estimates.

Peni came out on a Friday night and gave us an estimate for replacing a large concrete patio and doing some additional demo work. On Saturday, he and his crew came out and did all the work in one day - they did the demo starting around 8 a.m. and were finished with the new patio by around 6:30 p.m. We have a few odd things in the back of our 1950s house, as many old houses do: water main with shutoff very low to the ground, one very small crawl space access and pipes that remain somewhat above ground. Peni looked at these issues and developed a solution that avoided major problems with the water main and crawl space access and his crew did hand work around the exposed pipes. The fact that it was all done in one day was a real plus. One of the most significant reasons we got the work done was because the previous patio didn't drain to the lawn and during rainy times actually pooled water back toward the house. The new concrete has an obvious slope toward the lawn, so it will be a huge improvement over the flooding we used to have in the garage. We had actually also used PMT about 9 months back to demo and pour a new driveway and replace some hazardous sidewalks. Peni and his crew are fast and accurate. The final work product is good, though one complaint is that sometimes the work site isn't left as tidy as it could be after the job is finished. But compared to the other pluses that come from their work, that's a relatively minor downside.

He is a good guy. Pretty timely, I thought his prices were reasonable, and he was a nice guy to deal with.

I needed a concrete slab to put a shed on. I had received a few bids when I did a search on Angie's List & found PMT with high ratings. I called PMT & met with Peni who gave me a quote. His crew came out that week & did a great job. They were hardworking and very professional. I really am very happy with their work.

A couple of days after I contacted PMT by email, the owner arranged to stop by on Friday evening to give an estimate. They were able to begin work the next morning. The friendly crew arrived just after 7 AM, but they delayed loud jackhammer-type demolition until 8 to avoid annoying the neighbors early on a Saturday. They rapidly demolished the existing driveway, helped relocate some plants that were in the way of the new, larger driveway, and took care not to damage existing underground drainage lines. They effectively translated my somewhat vague request to "include a ramp that slopes up to the porch," smoothly integrating it into one side of the new driveway. The larger driveway covered the location of the former drainage outlet, so they took care to integrate the drain as well, flush-mounting a removable drain cover into the concrete slab. By mid-afternoon an attractive, well-constructed new driveway was complete. They came by a few days later to pull the forms.

Everything was done correctly from start to finish! The workers were on time and able to start our project soon after the estimate was given and we made our decision as to who to have do the job. Everything was cleaned up neatly and the new concrete looks great!

PMT does really good work. They were quick and efficient and all of my questions were quickly and precisely answered. I have recommended them to my family and friends.

I visited their website and submitted a request to contact us. We received a call back 2 days later. He came to our house the same day, we agreed on a price (he originally quoted us $400), and he brought a bunch of guys to help with the work the very next day. The work was done by the time I got home. Beautiful. No mess (except for some over spray on my plants), the cut is very straight and smooth. I wish we had used this service earlier. I didn't realize how fast or inexpensive it would be to finally get our wall transformed into a column. We plan on finishing it with new stucco and applying a rock facade in the future. Now we can see who's walking by our front yard.

I had a large back yard which was basically a blank slate; uneven dirt and dead grass. I knew from a previous interview that Peni had a small tractor. I met with him on a Tuesday and he started at 8:00 am the next morning. The work was completed in one day. His crew did a good job. He even took the time to take out a piece of worthless, rusty piece of pipeline that went nowhere and inserted several pieces of PVC pipe under the sidewalk near the valves (before the concrete was poured) to accommodate the future sprinkler system.

I called on Friday,left a message, got a call back in 10 minutes and scheduled an estimate for the following Monday at 10:00. Peni was there at 9:55, quickly took some measurements and listened to my ideas, nodding the whole time and saying "we can do that". Asked me when I'd like to do it, I said ASAP, so he said they were working in my area that day and would come by later, around 3 to "check it out". At ONE o'clock, here come at least 8 men, 3 trucks, a Bobcat and they started right then, 3 HOURS after my estimate! By 4, they had graded the driveway and walkway, filled some holes in my yard with some of the dirt and set all the forms. I was so blown away I went and got them pizza. The guys were all so friendly, happy, laughing, working so well together. The next day they poured, ready to drive on it by Friday, and I christened it with a couple passes on rollerskates. They are the best team I've ever had to work with. I will use them again in a few weeks, and recommend them highly.

THESE GUYS ARE UNBELIEVABLY GOOD!! I was under a short time frame. Peni came in on Wednesday for a quote. Installed the forms on Thursday, and poured the concrete and stamping on Friday. They were efficient, came in on time, and completely professional. Peni went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. I cannot say enough good things about them. These guys are worth the money and the job they do an outstanding stellar work. They gave you one price and that was it. Be sure to discuss the entire project at once though, if you add stuff it may add to the price.

I called on a Monday morning, and received an estimate that afternoon. The work was performed the next day and finished by 2:00 pm. Good cleanup. Excellent work, looks great.

I called PMT on Thursday and asked how quickly they could do the job. They estimated it on Friday, and said they could complete it on Saturday. They showed up on time, did the job very well and cleaned up nicely. It was a good job for a good price.

PMT Concrete was awesome. The crew arrived on time and they were very friendly and polite. They went over the work before they started to ensure we were getting what we wanted. They worked extremely hard, but they were the most cheerful crew I've witnessed. They were laughing, chatting, and even singing! They had estimated that the job would take two days, but by noon of the first day they had the ground leveled and the forms in place. They poured and finished the concrete in the afternoon. We got our patio in one day and it is beautiful, exactly what we wanted. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up and they were respectful of our yard while they were working. I can't say enough good things about them.

Showed up on time, and the price was comparable to another bid. Did a nice job with the brick trim although I had to correct them before it was set because it didn't match design provided. Not happy with appearance of the exposed aggregate, either not enough rock was used or not enough time was spent seeding it. The seeding is very uneven, and does not give a nice uniform appearance. Also, the screen door was damaged (discount was provided from final payment as offset) and materials were left on plants in landscaping. Stayed to work late when there had been a delay, in order to finish on day promised, which was appreciated.

When I need any concrete work again I am not going to take bids, I will hire PMT. The city offered their contractor to do it or we could hire out. The city's initial bid was 6434.44. We called around and Peni (owner) was the lowest bid by far. The next lowest bid was 4500, most bids around 5500. 3000 saved is 3000 earned (with less tax). I called a least 15 contractors. I've done concrete work myself (my father is a contractor and I've worked under him), so I know a bit of what's going on. A lot of guys I interviewed I wouldn't have trusted to weed my yard and I was sorry they knew my address. They did an awesome job, it looks great. It looks better than the gutter the city poured. In fact, when the city inspector measured everything she said they had it more precise than the city usually did. Peni is a professional; he knows what he is doing. If his bid had not been lowest I would have hired him anyway. Post-job I am more sure of this.

PMT Concrete was here early on Saturday morning. They did a VERY good job. They cleaned up when finished, workers didn't dilly dally, they came to work and that's what they did. We bought them pizza and coke and I felt we should have done more! In fact I gave them $50 more than the quoted price. (don't tell my husband) They even hauled away a load of broken bricks and concrete that my husband cleared away prior to their arrival. I would highly recommend this bunch of guys.

Pene, the owner, came out the day after our initial call for an estimate, and his bid was very competitive. Two days later the forms were set, concrete poured and cleanup completed in a matter of a few short hours. They did a great job on what I might add was one of the hottest days of our record-breaking heat wave.

Fast estimate and fast service. As of today no problems with work done. Work was done in 2 days with debris removal and clean-up. No problems, or "added Costs". So far so good.

They came over and gave me a cement floor and did a great job. It was very nice.
