We were very pleased with efficiency and thoughtfulness of the Kitchen Mart professionals who worked on this project. We selected Kitchen Mart because of the Angies List reviews and because Kitchen Mart employs every worker, so there are no subcontractor complications or delays. Once the cabinets were manufactured, final start and finish dates were set. Kitchen Mart arrived on a Monday morning took out the old cabinets, prepared the pumping and by the afternoon of Tuesday had the new cabinets installed, The final measurements for the counter top and sink were taken, the counter top slab was prepared over the next two days and on Friday the project was completed as scheduled. Excellent work, excellent quality and an excellent experience overall. We will be using Kitchen Mart for flooring and new bathroom cabinets in the future.
Description of Work: We had Kitchen Mart provide new kitchen cabinets, a new faucet and sink and a new counter top. Work required about 8 weeks lead time to have the cabinets manufactured. But the work itself was completed in just five days! .

Very well. They actually finished a day early. The only glitch was needing a new electrical line for our cooktop. Was a bit costly to do, but I suppose this is not unusual for electrical work. And it was done promptly, so it did not delay completion of the job.
Description of Work: Built and installed some new kitchen cabinets. Countertops removed and replaced with granite countertops. New sink and cooktop intalled.

Kitchen Mart remodeled both mine and my mothers kitchen 15-20 years ago and we were both very satisfied, so much so that I called them when i was ready to update my kitchen again. Unfortunately the only similarity I found between my earlier association and my recent work was the name remains the same. Likely so that they can claim 35 years in the business. I'm not sure if they've just grown too successful and don't care about customer service or that they are simply too busy. I experienced multiple errors which were frustrating but not totally surprising since different workers arrived daily. There was a and quot;project managerand quot; but I saw him and spoke to him one time during the 6 weeks my kitchen was under construction. The workers were all very nice but they go where they are assigned and do what they are scheduled to do. I could have forgiven their multiple mistakes but Kitchen Mart's attitude about communicating with their customers was too frustrating to overlook. As I said in my letter to the company, their lack of communication was almost arrogant . I waited two months before submitting this evaluation, hoping that maybe there was an unexplained reason for this frustrating experience that they would explain. True to form, I never heard a word. I had planned on having them remodel my bathroom but I'll never use them again.

Let's put it this way: I had to manage the project manager. I would come home and my back door would be unlocked and my power would be off. Overall my kitchen looks good now but I wouldn't recommend them to anybody and I wouldn't use them again.

I had purchased the tiles already and so the amount that I paid them did not include the tile cost. They supplied everything else in terms of the stuff to glue it down, the grout and all that. Their service was outstanding. I would use them again if need be. They're just very professional. They did what they said they were going to do and when they said they were going to do it which is not a typical experience with small job contractors. It was just a great experience. The guys they sent out to do it were not sub contractors. They were not the kind to go out and get the job, and send somebody other than their own people out. They sent their own employees that they use. So it's a lot more direct and there are no excuses. I don't need to go to other people and talk to other people. The boss of the project showed up on the first morning before the guys could get started, and introduced them. He talked about what they were going to do and they did it. When it was done, we loved it. They really did a nice job. Their price was good. I'd got three estimates and they were about in line with another estimate and significantly lower than the third. They were about the same as another but we really liked the guy that came out from the company, and gave us free estimates. It was worthwhile and we had a good feeling about it. So we went with them in regard with that feeling. There's nobody else who can do a better job on our house. I will use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Kitchen Mart Inc. I last used their services about two months ago or may be a little less than that. They installed a tiled kitchen floor for me.

They matched the new cabinets with the existing cabinets that I had in another room very nicely. They did an excellent job. There was a problem with the door installation where one door came and it was the wrong size. I ultimately got a new door but it took a long time. That one final door was a couple of months late, but when it got here, they installed it and it was fine. The work was of high quality. I thought that the price was reasonable. They cleaned up very nicely, they were kind and were responsible in what they did.
Description of Work: I had all my kitchen cabinets redone by Kitchen Mart Inc. They did new door, new drawer fronts and actually replaced some old cabinets with new ones. I had them come out later and do some crown molding and also build a book case for my family room. They did the job around March of last year. I had them replace 6 old hollow core doors in the house with new wood panel doors, in the fall. They were all stained to match the cabinets.

The rep came out when expected and provided an initial estimate. We were delayed in the project for a couple of months and decided to change the project a bit. We had a slightly difficult time getting the rep back out. I think because of the delay and changes he may have thought we were not serious. that is why I gave them a B on responsiveness. Once he came back out, he was extremely helpful in picking style and wood. The workmen showed up when they said they would and finished when they said they would. They were always professional and polite. The materials were all top quality solid wood doors, drawer fronts and boxes, extremely well made. The price for what was done was a little high, but the result was so fantastic my wife just kept saying "wow, its beautiful" over and over. We will definitely be going back to have them estimate our kitchen later this year.

I had a great experience working with them. They came out on time and they were excellent. They cleaned up really well. I had a little problem, but they came back out immediately and fixed it. I liked their customer service. They were very responsive to my questions. I spent about $12000 on the job, including the new appliances, a new convection oven; etc. I didn’t have any problems with this company. I will use them again for bathroom remodeling.

It started out like a dream and turned into a nightmare. Kitchen Mart has an amazing showroom in Rocklin. Our designer sold us on the Kitchen Mart ideal...that everything is done in-house - nothing is sub-contracted - one project manager to act as the point of contact. This would mean better pricing and better communication. Sounded great to us! The job started with tear out on August 3 and ended with the final inspection on August 31. We started having moments of concern as soon as we were turned over from the designer to the project manager. My husband had to call Kitchen Mart to ask when the project manager (PM) was coming out a couple of weeks before our start date (warning bells). The PM came out, seemed ok, everything seemed ready to go. We e-mailed him a couple of times to clarify things before the start date. We started being really concerned when the installer didn't know things that we'd discussed with the designer and project manager (more warning bells). It all came to a head when they installed the wrong fan/light/heater. My husband called the PM to discuss this and some other issues and was told "If I had to micro-manage every project like this, I'd never get anything done." The PM had been to our house once, and answered a few e-mails. Wow! My husband talked to the owner of the company, who agreed that we hadn't received the service we were paying for. He assigned a new PM, but things didn't get much better. We continued to have problems and mis-communications between the Kitchen Mart crew. I won't bore you with the details, but it was an incredibly frustrating experience. The final straw was the final day of the job. The job was done, our bill was paid, and all that was left was the final inspection. The county inspector came out and met a Kitchen Mart employee at our house. When we came home, there were cheap, battery-operated, stick-on smoke alarms stuck on the wall above every bedroom door in our house. When I called our new PM the next morning to ask why, he informed me that "the government requires it." He told me that someone should have told us about it (Duh!) and that he had told his employees in the past that they can't go into other parts of the house without the home owner's permission (Hmmmm). He wasn't able to tell me which government or what code required the smoke alarms. Kitchen Mart did complete our bathroom remodel, but the poor management and lack of professionalism makes me wish that we'd never contracted with them. I will never use them again, and I can't in good conscience recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: We hired Kitchen Mart to remodel our main bathroom. They gutted the existing bathroom and performed all services required to install the new bathroom.

They actually came in the middle of the project because the first company that started here has really crappy customer service and they made some mistakes, and we never used them again. So Kitchen Mart came in and resurrected the project and it turned out beautiful. I recommend them highly to anyone, that's my family and whoever.

Kitchen Mart estimated my work at less than half of what Home Depot wanted. KM was easy to work with; came up with solutions for problem areas (e.g., dishwasher door scraped against a cabinet drawer; KM realigned drawer and expanded the cabinet beneath it, allowing pull out shelves to be installed and solving scraping problem). The staff was amiable and wanting to please me, even when I made a change order on the first day of work. Job was finished in three days and for the price agreed upon, as promised. Kitchen and adjacent rooms were left clean. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Description of Work: Refaced 25 linear feet of kitchen cabinets, which dated from 1970's. Replaced doors, drawers; redesigned unusable cabinet sections to be much more functional. Installed pull-out shelves where needed.

Steve came over right on time, and gave me ideas and took measurements. Within a couple days after, he emailed a detailed estimate with breakdown of all requested products and labor. He was quite knowledgeable and had interesting ideas for improvement. I also visited the showroom for samples of colors and more ideas. I have not yet had the work done, but would definitely hire them to do the work when I am ready.

I was in the middle of a two-bath remodel and had checked with several other companies for the tile, etc... I happened to visit a friend's home where KM had done a kitchen remodel. It was beautiful! I went out to their showroom to look and ended up having them do the countertop, which was pretty much the last part.
Description of Work: I only used Kitchen mart for the Quartz countertops for two bathroom vanities. I worked with Cnythia and found her to be very helpful. After this experience, I would have had KM do the vanities as well as the countertops because their showroom allows you to select from so many options.

The estimate was pretty high. The estimator was an hour late for the appointment she set. The lady did call about 5 minutes before the appointment to tell us where she was which was much farther than 5 minutes from our home. Everything else was fine, except the price. They were a little bit higher than what we had gotten from other folks. Also, they wouldn't break down the estimate at all, they just gave us a flat price and that was it. They couldn't tell us a certain amount was for demolition, etc. They said that's how they do it. They were very professional except for the tardiness.

They did a very good job, in fact I'm having them back to do some molding and a coating to match the kitchen cabinets. They were pretty fast and everyone here was very confident and skillful carpenters. They were punctual and cleaned up well. I had no complaints about it at all. I took the recommendation off of Angie's List and they are the only bid I got. I thought the price was fair and I'm happy with the job they did. I will be hiring them back for additional work.

The woman who came out did an initial design and was going to do another one. However, we decided not to use their services in the meantime. So, the job of giving us an estimate was not complete. They were very punctual and the woman who came out was very accommodating. The only negative thing about them was when I asked for a copy of the design that she had done to have a look at it and to take it home. So, she said that they don’t do that and I felt that she had an attitude.
