The installation went well. Frankie was extremely professional, prompt and a pleasure to work with. He provided A-1 service; at times providing us his years of experience and knowledge with Corian. The only downside was our new shower door wasn't readily available but luckily we never use that shower so it wasn't much of an inconvenience. The sales representative provided us with much needed information since this was our first attempt at remodeling since our house was completed in 1997. We look forward to other projects in the house and working with Kitchen Mart.
Description of Work: Remodel of 1/2 bathroom downstairs.
First step was to meet with a representative who took all measurements, gave advice, scheduled the work and established the price. This was quite helpful. We took advantage of financing package for using a particular countertop product and had a one year interest free financing that worked out perfectly. workers came in and took care to not track dirt and dust and began the process of removal and installation work. All was done on a schedule and proceeded without incident or problem. (At one point work was suspended while outside contracted painters came and painted the kitchen and all cabinets). When painting was completed, Kitchen Mart workers returned and installed all handles perfectly and other touch up items. On a couple of items, Kitchen Mart went beyond the scope of work slightly to satisfy us. We were delighted with all aspects of the work relationship.
Description of Work: designed, cut and installed countertops, removed old appliances, reconfigured cabinet for new double ovens, install new appliances, (stovetop, double oven) install new sink and hardware, added cabinet handles, and install some tile work between countertops and cabinets.

Our designer was Cynthia. She was very helpful and informed us about different material and product options. She was very informative and helpful throughout the process. The work was completed in a timely manner. The workers were very professional and did an excellent job.
Description of Work: They came in and installed new quartz kitchen counters, a new sink, and new garbage disposal. They installed new flooring, new lights, and a new toilet in our restroom.
Job went so much better than I expected. They were very professional, great personalities and I trusted them being here alone even though most of the time I was working in my office nearby with the door closed all day. They would have completed the job in <6 weeks but we had a delay in my securing the butcher block counter myself, so I finally had them find a vendor to build it and they finished it and installed. The ONLY thing my wife was not completely satisfied with was the end of day clean-up. But that honestly was the only complaint we really had. They called/ texted if there were any scheduling changes which primarily only happened due to someone being sick. Our kitchen looks amazing and both the sales & office side and the in home crew were great to work with. We already have a neighbor scheduled to do their kitchen remodel with them in a few weeks.
Description of Work: All new cabinet & drawer facings, new doors & hardware including gliders & knobs/pulls, trash pull out Designed/built/installed custom center island with different finish on cabinet/drawer facings and built in cookbook shelf, butcher block top, copper sink/faucet, electrical outlets, installed wine cabinet New quartz counter tops, copper sink, plumbing and faucets New back splash Installed all new appliances including range hood, convection oven/microwave combo, dishwasher, range top, Frig Under cabinet lights
It went on schedule until my back splash was not available from the factory. Kitchen Mart kept me informed and completed the job as soon as the tile came in. The work space was always left neat and clean. Good carpet protection with materials in and out. Questions were always answered quickly. There was close coordination between the various team members so the job went smoothly.
Description of Work: New floor, counter, sink, back splash, remade some cabinet boxes, refurbished and painted boxes, all new doors, rollout shelves, new drawers

Kitchen-Mart's quote came in about 2K under another quote we were considering, but we went with them primarily because we didn't like the idea of moving out of our house for a week or more as the other contractor suggested. We knew we would lose the use of our bedroom for awhile which was quite doable and so it went. The folks at Kitchen-Mart were very helpful from the start in explaining the different material options, etc. and made helpful suggestions along the way. Their vertically integrated operation allows them the flexibility to custom fit things where necessary. They cut, form, and machine materials and build custom cabinets in their own shop. I liked the idea that they seemed to have complete control of the project. Little or no sub-contracting. Jon, the craftsman that did most of the work was a true professional and master of many trades. He arrived promptly every morning at 8:00am and worked steadily throughout the day. When we explained that due to the unusually warm weather, we did not object to his coming earlier, he came promptly an hour earlier. (Due to the frequent movement of people and materials in and out the front door, the most convenient access, it was necessary to keep the door open most of the day, thereby negating the A/C.) This did not pose a big problem in the early morning hours. Overall, we have been very satisfied with the completed job. What few minor issues developed, K-M has promply addressed.
Description of Work: Major renovation of master bathroom. Project included relocation of some existing walls to enable enlargement of shower stall. Project involved demolition, carpentry, sheetrocking, texturing, painting, plumbing, electrical work and finishing.

My husband had a stroke last fall and was still having difficulty climbing in and out of our current bathtub/shower units, so we decided to have a remodel done earlier than originally planned. Starting with Cynthia, the designer, in April, I was impressed by her knowledge and suggestions she made to meet our needs. The estimate was twice what I'd hoped, but I didn't want to compromise on the materials (Corian), so she made several suggestions as to how to reduce the cost. Because they're so popular and busy, we had to wait until May for the project manager to come out for final measurements, and mid-July to start the work. David, our project manager, was also very professional, pleasant, and informative. We had two different installers, Frankie, who did the demolition and toilet installation, and Chris, who did all of the electrical, plumbing, and installation of the custom shower and door. They were both faultlessly professional, pleasant, and efficient, always calling 15-30 minutes before arriving, and arriving close to the estimated times they'd promised. They were very respectful of us and our home, adjusting some of the noisier work to times we weren't home, and cleaning up at the end of every day. Chris also met the city inspector for the initial inspection, and she is reportedly a very detail-oriented person. He'd not only had to change the placement of the plumbing, but he also brought the electrical wiring up to code because of the poor work of our original builder. Chris said she gave the job rave reviews. Another advantage was that they installed a lock box near the front door so they could enter even if we couldn't arrange to be home when they were working. The job took three weeks to complete, a week longer than expected because of on oversight by the subcontractor who made the shower door. David and Chris were most apologetic, saying this error was a very unusual occurrence, and David arranged for us to receive a small credit on the final payment for our inconvenience. Every person we spoke with/met from Kitchen Mart, including several people we spoke to on the phone, was a pleasure to work with and we'd recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade kitchens or bathrooms. The professionalism and quality of work was worth the price being higher than we'd planned.

We were booked a couple of months after signing the contract due to the popularity of Kitchen Mart. From the designer, project manager, front desk, and installer all went very smoothly. We brought samples home to determine what we wanted. When the work started our counters and floors were well-covered to protect them. After the doors and drawers were removed, the cabinets were sanded. Following that the refacing laminate was adhered to the cabinets. Next, the new drawers and doors, of which there were 47, were installed. We bought and chose our knobs and they were put on by the installer too. Great cleanup afterwards. We used Kitchen Mart several years ago in another home. At that time we chose wood, and also chose to reface, as it is usually the least expensive choice. Every time I am in the kitchen I look at my beautiful cabinets and know we made the right choice.
Description of Work: We had our old doors and drawers replaced, and the existing cabinets refaced. We chose white laminate which were made from Rigid Thermo Foil.

Since I looked to Angie’s List for research on who to go to for our kitchen re-do, it’s only fair to add my two cents worth about how pleased we are with KitchenMart. In brief: Carla, our salesperson, was knowledgeable and professional. She was also very patient with my numerous questions and some subsequent changes to what we had originally discussed. Mike, our project manager, was very attentive and thorough. He did the original measurements and I was impressed with the time he took and the attention he paid to every detail. When the project was done he noted some minor flaws that I hadn’t even noticed and arranged to have replacement panels installed. Jeff, our main carpenter, truly treated our kitchen as though it were his own. I really can’t say enough about the painstaking attention he paid to every aspect of the job. He wasn’t going to be satisfied unless we were – and we are! The refacing process was remarkably dust free, although precautions were taken to shield an adjoining room from dust. The timetable that was laid out for us was also largely adhered to and the only variance had to do with Mike’s wanting to replace some panels. This didn’t prevent me from being able to put my kitchen back together and use it within the original timeframe given. All of the KitchenMart people who worked on the countertops, plumbing, electrical, paint, etc were great to work with and each one had good things to say about their employer, which I took to be a very good sign. Their ads say that they love what they do and I believe it. We felt their pricing was very reasonable for all the work done. I absolutely would not hesitate to call them again should we be ready to do more work in another room. Thanks, KitchenMart!

They completed a remodel in August 2013. We noticed a problem with the oven hood vent. They promptly responded to our call and sent someone to correct the problem without charge.
Description of Work: Fixed duct work on oven hood fan.
I received estimates from 4 contractors. Three were in the same ballpark as KitchenMart. The KitchenMart estimator, Steve King, was very professional, arrived in a timely manner, and provided me with an estimate in just a few days. As I was comparing estimates I had a number of follow-up questions which were answered completely and timely. KitchenMart had previous experience with cinder block homes and was able to give me an estimate which accurately reflected the actual costs. The allowances for tile, etc., were right on. The other estimates either had very low fixture and tile allowances or higher cost estimate. I know my actual costs would have been higher had I selected a different contractor. The other advantage to KitchenMart was that they do not sub-contract out any of their work. This was another advantage over the other bids I received. The only disadvantage was a very long lead time. But it was well worth it. The 1940's pink and maroon bathroom is now a stylish and beautiful black, white and gray that is still consistent with the style of the house and the original design concept. The workers were outstanding. Eric, the project manager was very helpful, responsive. The entire crew was outstanding and the prep and tile work was exceptional. I have absolutely no complaints and would use them again anytime. The entire staff of KitchenMart were delightful to work with, always polite, responsive and dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.
Description of Work: The job was to completely demolish a very small (6x8) bathroom in a cinder block home. This is a one bathroom home. The bathroom sink has a leaking hot water valve and hose, and the tup/shower control and faucet leaks. I was told by plumbers that they need to be replaced which would require extensive demolition of tile ,etc. It was easier to replace and remodel all flooring, wall tiles, tub/shower, sink, reface cabinets, install vent fan, replace lighting and countertops.

Everything went very well and we're extremely pleased. Kitchen Mart refaced the cabinetry in our kitchen about 15 years ago. The doors and drawer fronts were made of MDF with a hard plastic-like bright-white coating. Over the years, and long after the warranty had expired, the crown molding, doors, and drawer fronts began to yellow somewhat. The cabinet face frames, however, remained the original color of bright white. During the bright light of day, the color difference was quite noticeable. But, since the job had been completed many years ago, I dismissed the thought of asking Kitchen Mart to replace the now-yellowed components. We have used KM for about 3-4 projects over the years and have always been quite satisfied with their work. So, I called them again to give us a bid to reface the cabinetry in our hallway and laundry room. During a visit by their designer and sales person for that project, Cynthia Shull, she noticed the discoloration of our kitchen cabinetry. I gave her the history and she promised us that she would speak to her boss about rectifying the situation even though the warranty had expired long ago. Much to my surprise, KM agreed to replace the yellowed components for just the cost of the materials (about $2,000). Based on my extensive experience, I seriously doubt that most other companies would have stepped up to the plate and fixed the problem because there was absolutely no legal obligation for them to do so. To me, that speaks very highly of KM's integrity. Thanks to the great supervision of Mike Hart and the professional installation of KM's installers, all of the yellowed cabinetry components and crown molding was replaced uneventfully and our kitchen is now beautiful once again. Incidentally, KM completed the hallway and laundry room cabinetry refacing awhile ago and it also turned out great. I already submitted a favorable Angie's List review on that project. And, we still need to have our hall bath remodeled. Can you guess which company will get the job? : )

The quote amount was more than what I had expected. It might have been around $30000. They were fine. They just ended up costing more than the company that I went with. I just felt more comfortable with the company I chose. They came out when they said they were going to. The same person didn't come out that was supposed to come out because he got ill, but they did send somebody out at the time. I would consider using them again in the future.

Everything went very well. The installer (Raul) was very professional and provided excellent workmanship. He was considerate of the disruption to our activities while the project was in progress. He also cleaned up after himself every day. The materials were of high quality and properly installed. The project turned out beautifully. I have only one minor critique. In the morning on the last day of installation, I received a call saying that Raul would not arrive at the planned 9 a.m. but rather around 3 p.m. instead because he had two other jobs to work on that day. Then around 11 a.m., I received another call saying that he could come right over. This last second notification of changes in scheduling prevented me from doing some necessary errands. Nevertheless, I am overall extremely pleased with the outcome of the project and the performance of Kitchen Mart.

On the whole, the project went smoothly. The finished product exceeded my expectations and I am quite pleased with my choice and my beautiful kitchen. I have had occasion to contact them since for minor amendments not included in the initial job (my error) and they have been very responsive and helpful. Would recommend highly. Some initial lack of communication between estimator and job manager - I asked if my removing the ceramic tile on the counters as well as the dishwasher, range, and microwave would reduce cost and was told, and quot;Yesand quot;, by the estimator. When the job manager arrived he said, and quot; You were to have done the prep - that cabinet and substrate of the tile on counter.and quot; I was 73 years old at the time and surely no one would have assumed that I planned on climbing on the countertop to remove a 5'x2.5'x3.5' cabinet when I asked about tile and appliance removal. We had some discussion before he acceded to my point. I downgraded punctuality perhaps unfairly as one of their crew suffered a disabling back injury just before the job started. This left KitchenMart in the bind of having to fulfill commitments on multiple jobs while down one man. On a few days there were last minute job assignment shifts that were not well communicated and the 9 AM expected arrival came at 1PM. These were minor disruptions and not earthshaking!
