Description of Work: Bait and switch. Quote you a price for triple play. Then you have to agree for two years to get "the price" it was supposed to be $159 then they charge you installation $89 plus for each box per room. So ended up being $205 with fees etc. more than I paid with Direct Tv. Not happy! No internet in my area but them. Monopoly, they know it!

Description of Work: I ordered xfinity internet service to replace my ATT cable/internet package, but then ended up not canceling my ATT service. I called comcast back the same day to cancel the install appointment and to request a refund of the $50 they had already charged my card as a security deposit. (I had declined to give them my social security number, so they required me to put a $50 deposit down for the equipment - that was annoying all by itself.) The first guy I spoke to told me the deposit would be refunded within 24 hours. That didn't happen, so about three days later I called again, and was then told that it would take them six weeks to refund my deposit - the deposit they charged within 10 minutes of my initial phone call to them for equipment that was never installed. Six weeks. I let them know that was unacceptable, but was told that was their corporate policy and they couldn't do anything about it. I decided I *could* do something about it, so contacted my credit card company and had them do a chargeback. | |My conclusion: they want your social security number to do a credit check, or they charge $50 deposit. They charged my card within 10 minutes, but couldn't manage to refund the charge in less than six weeks. All of the folks I spoke to had an accent that made them difficult to understand (Indian, I think, which probably means they farm out their technical assistance). In addition, they sounded like used car salesmen. Upshot for me is I will never use Comcast. I don't trust them.

I like them. I've used them for about 15 years. I haven't really had any problems with them. The price is fair for what I get. I do a lot of stuff over the phone and their customer service is great. I've always had a really good experience with them.

They are fine, I don't have any complaints. I get my bill through my "bill for pay service". I get everything from them. I plan to continue with their services.

They arrived late (after the end of our four hour time window), and the technician seemed like he was trying to rush through the installation. He didn't offer any information on what he was doing, but he answered my questions. Since installation, we've had numerous problems, mostly with the download speeds, which have often been below 1 MB/s (we're supposed to be getting 4 MB/s). We've also had issues with the service being unavailable, and their toll-free number just tells us they know there's an outage in the area but they don't know when it will be fixed.
Description of Work: Comcast installed high-speed cable Internet and cable modem in my home office. Since we were not Comcast cable TV subscribers, they had to run the cable from the outside cable box into the house through the attic and walls. They then set up my computer to be able to access the Internet.

ALTHOUGH, I THINK THAT COMCAST IS EXPENSIVE, THEY DO RESPOND QUICKLY WHENEVER THEIR IS A PROBLEM. THEIR TELEPHONE SERVICE IS ALSO GOOD AND THOROUGH. THEY WILL TRY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM FIRST BY TELEPHONE.
Description of Work: WE CALLED COMCAST OUT TO OUR HOUSE BECAUSE WE COULD NOT GET OUR COMPUTER INTERNET TO WORK. THEY ARE OUR PROVIDER AND BECAUSE IT WAS THEIR MODEM THAT WAS FAULTY, WE WERE ONLY CHARGED OUR REGULAR MONTHLY FEE.
