dryer vent cleaning
+ -1 moreThe technician, Sopia Noon, arrived on time, was thorough and not in a hurry, and was pleasant to work with. He finished in about 30 minutes and removed a lot of dryer lint.
Description of Work: Clean out the clothes dryer vent tubing. Our house is 20 years old and the clothes dryer vent has never been cleaned out. The dryer vent tubing goes up 8 feet inside a wall to the ceiling, turns 90 degrees and travels 30 feet horizontally to an outside wall. A big vacuum machine with a long 12-inch round hose attached to it is placed close to the dryer vent opening inside the house. A truck-mounted air compressor with a thin plastic hose is snaked into the dryer vent opening inside the house and used to dislodge the dryer lint inside the tube. This hose is then snaked into the dryer vent opening on the outside wall and used to dislodged more dryer lint.

They are a well known company in my area. They seemed a little high, but I have no comparison of pricing for other companies.

+ -1 moreThese guys did a great job with my carpets; they cleaned everything very thoroughly. They didn't make a mess at all and the stains were removed completely. They did their job exactly as I requested and they were very careful when moving the furniture. They were friendly and professional and I would definitely like to have them clean my carpets whenever I need them.
Description of Work: They cleaned wall to wall carpeting in 1 room, 1 hallway and 1 closet in my house. They also cleaned 4 area rugs and some draperies.

+ -1 moreThe cleaning was thorough and all stains came out from the white carpet. They missed the walk in closet but came back the next day after our call. They wanted to put down a stain guard that I don't need but it was within the quote. I thought the price was a bit high but I did not get a chance to shop around. Luckily, it was a job well done. I would recommend them but would also shop around some more next time.
Description of Work: Cleaned carpet for an empty 2200 square foot house. (The actual cleaned area is smaller.)

+ -1 moreThe men called to say that they could arrive early, which was good news as it was going to be hot that day. They explained the procedure to me and about how long it would take - 3 hours. They went right to work, moving furniture and setting up their equipment. They worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up their mess when they were done, put the furniture back and showed me the contents of the vacuum. They did a great job.
Description of Work: Dave and his partner vacuumed out our furnace and air ducts and pressure washed the parts of the furnace.

+ -1 moreThe guys were clean, professional and on time. They worked hard. They went over the pricing, but I'm still a little confused on that. I figured $587 was worth everything they did though, so no worries. They had my rugs back on the day the said they would. I booked my appointment online which was nice. I am also having them install new shutters. Overall, I think a good company and very efficiently run.
Description of Work: I had them clean two very large area rugs, one love seat and one couch and my kitchen tile. The couches & rugs hadn't been cleaned since I bought them about 8 year ago.

Description of Work: Our home is 32 years old and has never had the air ducts cleaned before. Coit did a wonderful job, the air flow is so much better and they showed me the dirt, dust, dog hair and all the other stuff they collected from the air ducts. They took their time and even vacuumed up after themselves.

+ -1 moreI was very disappointed in the Coit employee. I called Coit because other people had written that Coit was able to get out old stains of coffee and red wine and I believed they would be able to help my new carpet. But I didn't need my entire carpet cleaned which is what he wanted to do. After he left, I got out my home carpet cleaner, thinking, as he stated, "the stain probably won't come out" and guess what? The stain came up and I did it myself!
Description of Work: Because of the disgruntled attitude of the estimator I did not have the work performed. When I made my first call to Coit, it was explained that I had only a small area to be cleaned and that the area was a vomit stain. The area was only from the bed to the bathroom. I also explained that it was brand new carpet, only 3 months old, so the area to be cleaned was very small. When the carpet cleaner came to make an estimate he wanted to clean the entire carpet, explaining that he still needed to get out all the equipment and getting out the equipment was time consuming. When I explained again I only wanted this small area cleaned because it was new carpet, he seemed to become very agitated and stated as he was leaving, "Well, the stain probably won't come up anyway." Yet he was ready, willing and able to clean the entire room. My estimate was $100 and I would have paid that. It was the attitude of the estimator and that he wanted to do more work than I wanted/needed him to do.

+ -1 moreWhile the cleaners arrived on time, they seemed to have little idea of what they were doing, although they proposed more work (such as cleaning the furniture) multiple times. They were rather unsystematic in covering the floor and when applying Scotch Guard, a wave of the wand here and there was deemed sufficient. After the rug dried numerous rust-colored stains showed up. We called to have them fix the problem and they returned the following week to explain that a chemical reaction took place and they could fix it with an additive. They cleaned the rug again and when the rug dried several rust spots reappeared. After only a few days dark areas began to appear, getting worse as time goes on. Most likely well have to replace the carpet due to their poor work and questionable chemicals.
Description of Work: Coit cleaned the carpet in our family room. We called them because of a coupon offered in the paper;however, since this is the only carpeting in our home, we were required to pay a minimum cost for the cleaning, and were not entitled to use the coupon.

Description of Work: I had two bedrooms that had wall to wall carpeting. In the Master bedroom, I had them move all the furniture so that the carpet was completely cleaned. In the second bedroom I had traffic pattern cleaning only.

They cleaned the carpet and drapes and that was it; no pushing for air duct cleaning, etc. The services performed were well done. The estimator and serviceman arrived on time and first called to confirm their arrival.
Description of Work: Cleaned both carpets and drapes, as well as a scotchguard type treatment and deodorizing of the carpet.

+ -1 moreIt was quick and efficient. All was done within 1 1/2 weeks. Not ever having had done this before, I was surprised at how expensive it was, even with the 35% discount. I didn't check any other businesses. (I was in a hurry) Overall, it was a good job.
Description of Work: They cleaned draperies, 2 thermal lined at 18', an 18 ft. cornice box, 5X8 wool rug, which they deodorized & disinfectant. Carpet was 651 ft all scotchguarded, plus there was a $15. surcharge. The total was $699 with a 35% discount with coupon.

+ -1 moreAlthough it actually took 48 hours for the carpets to dry, the job was very satisfactory. I was told that the carpets would be dry in 6-8 hours. I could see that this could be very inconvenient, because it was damp a very long weekend. I marked the price at good, because there are others that charge less, but I can't judge if the quality is equal.

+ -1 moreAiken called right when they said he would and arrived within the time frame he told me. He was a bit pushy about doing extra work, but did a fine job of cleaning our carpet. I would probably not use Coit again, however, as it is awkward to keep declining the extra services (duct cleaning, drape and upholstery cleaning, additional carpet cleaning, etc).
Description of Work: We bought a new couch and decided to have the carpet cleaned in our family room before the new couch is delivered. It is a large room, approximately 400 sq. ft. The person who came to clean the carpet was on time and did a fine job of cleaning the carpet, however he was very anxious to get me to agree to more work, which I didnt want. He also wanted to give me an estimate for duct cleaning, which was fine with me, but he couldnt recognize our heating system. I pointed it out to him (it is a combo A/C-heating unit), but he kept telling me that was not it. I didnt want the ducts cleaned, but couldnt have had it done anyway since he didnt seem to know enough about it. I did not ask for an estimate before, as I was in a hurry to have the carpet cleaned, and the phone scheduler told me it would probably be the minimum $100 charge for our room. This was obviously not an accurate guesstimate as it was about double that price. I was given the price before the work began.
