America's Best, Inc

This was great, they did a very good job. They were good, they were on time, they didn't make a mess, they did the job, got in, got out and they were very professional. I felt the price was reasonable, it wasn't a super deal.

It was not good. They didn't clean up after they were finished.

I had a large window which was hard to clean to clean without a ladder. They tried to clean the inside, and they soaked up one pane and left it. Never put a squeegee to it. I would not hire them again under any circumstances. I have some very high windows and they cleaned those from the inside, and some of them had to be cleaned from the outside and you need a very high ladder. I asked them if they cleaned it, as I hadn't watched, I don't think they cleaned it because I didn't see them going up the roof to clean it. I had purchased a big deal and I phoned them and asked them what they meant by a window, whether it meant slider or the whole window and they told me it was the whole window, both sides. If you have a pane and a slider, that is not 4 panes and when the people got here, they wanted to do only half as many windows as they told me they would do. I told them that I phoned the main company and that was not the deal and they said they would do it, so I had to push the point which I didn't need to. They did a decent job on the windows that they did.They were here on time.

They did an ok job, but I probably wouldn't use them again.

They were very pleasant. They got the work done quickly. I felt that there were some windows that could have been cleaned better. They were here on time. They did their job right but I think I would try someone else.

It was a good experience. They were on time and very professional. They put on little booties when they came in the house so they try to be careful about it. They were polite and clean. They did a good job. I would use them again.

That went wonderful. The guy was very friendly; I thought they were a business family. They were professional. Because they were a family, I guess, they were proud of their work. I will absolutely use them again.

I watched the guys, it was a man and his son, the windows hadn’t been cleaned in a long time and they were pretty grimy and so they got up there and did it. They looked really good, so I tipped them, they left and when the actual sun started shining on them, there were lot of hays on it, so I had to go back over with a squeegee and do it myself, so I wasn’t real happy. I would take a chance on somebody else before I have them back again. It would have been a great price, if they had done it right. If I had pointed it out, they probably would have gone back over it but I did not. I have south facing windows so the sun is always on it and they are huge and the whole one side was not clean, and I thought I had to get out and do it myself. They did get the dirt off but I expected a full job, not an eight-five percent solution.

We purchased the big deal coupon for this service. He was excellent. One of the things that we liked was that, he was very mindful of our tile because we have a tiled roof. So he was very careful about that. Everything was very clean. If we think about it, cleaning up a gutter is just really dirty work but he was very clean and very friendly. He was early to work. We will most definitely use him again in the future.

I was not very pleased with them. Two of the downspouts were supposed to be unclogged or cleaned out. We had them in the summer time before it started to rain. As soon as it started to rain this past fall, they were clogged up again. They didn’t do their job all the way through. They showed up on time, and it seemed that they were very professional. It's just that I didn’t know what didn’t work until the fall when it started raining; that's how I knew that it wasn’t cleaned out. The people who came out were professional and amicable. They were on time. The pricing was okay. I had to pay extra because I had more windows than they had in their contract. The quality wasn’t very good because it didn’t work. When they did the windows, they didn’t really put one of the screens back properly. I thought that when they were here, they did what I wanted them to do. I found out later that it wasn’t done. I did not call them up to complain. When we hire someone to do something and they don’t do it properly, we are not calling them back to have them do it not properly again. It was in the middle of the winter and it was raining. I thought that if they didn’t do it right the first time, then that's it for me. They were punctual.

The man who did it brought his son because he was training him. The father who owned the company was very thorough and did a good job. He worked very hard. The son you could tell really didn't want to be there, he wasn't too careful with the plants below where he was cleaning. Other than that they did a good job. I would recommend them.

The first appointment was set and they cancelled at the last minute. We went back and forth with rescheduling the appointment to fit both of our busy schedules. They were supposed to be at my home today and I’ve been left waiting. I had to call them and they said “oops, we’ll try to find out why nobody came.” They did say that the crew called and reported an issue but it didn’t get to the scheduling office to properly notify me. They said they might be able to get out to my home tomorrow but I’ve lost 2 days and I didn’t want to take a chance on a third day

It was not a good deal. At first I thought it was, but since I've had painters here and we pulled off the screens, we could see down at the bottom and stuff because I had sun screens on. At first I could not tell because we had sun screens on but then when the painters pulled of the screens I could see all the stuff that they didn't do. I'd paid them extra too because it was $99 for washing many windows, so I gave them an extra $10 or $5 per window. Afterwards, I just didn't think they did a really good job because, once we pulled up the screens, my windows didn't look like they'd been cleaned before. Now I have to hire somebody to come and clean my windows again. So, to me, it was like I wasted my money. I thought it was a good deal, so if the service had equaled the price, it would have been an 'A' all the way around. They were very responsive, they came right away, were on time and they seemed pretty nice. I just don't think they were prepared to do a two-story home and to clean the upstairs windows properly. They had a ladder, but they didn't do all the stuff they needed to do. The people who showed up were very professional in their presentation.

After a number of delays and postponements, a guy showed up on Saturday right at the re-re-re-rescheduled time. As it turns out, he was a contractor, so my comments aren't necessarily going to be helpful in evaluating America's Best. As far as I can tell, he did a good job. (It's not like I could get up to the roof to inspect the gutters...) I should mention, though, that the job cost $312 on top of the $89 coupon, since I had (considerably) more than 100 linear feet of gutter. If you use a service like this, you might want to measure your gutters first to avoid sticker shock.

It took five attempts to get a crew to our house to fulfill the Big Deal we bought. When we first called they scheduled us a couple of weeks out, but no one showed and no one called. We left America's Best a message asking what was going on and got no call back from them until into the following week. After some phone tag we finally got hold of them and rescheduled attempt #2 for a week later. They called the day before appointment #2 to cancel so we rescheduled attempt #3 for another week later. Again no one showed up or called, but this time we got ahold of them right away and they rescheduled attempt #4 for a week later again. The day before attempt #4 they called and rescheduled yet again for attempt #5. At this point we were ready to ask for a refund if attempt #5 was unsuccessful. But much to our pleasant surprise a crew did show up on attempt #5, and well within their scheduled arrival window to boot. They surveyed our windows, gave me a total window count and a price for cleaning extra windows inside and outside and for removing and cleaning window screens. We opted to have them clean only the outside glass and screens, plus some glass door panels; I was especially keen on this because some of our second-story windows require walking on our roof tiles so I wanted someone who know what they were doing up there instead of me. Bottom line - once there was an actual crew here the experience was very smooth, and they did a great job. In fact they did such a good job on the outside that my wife and I realized that although we had cleaned the inside of the windows recently we really didn't do a very good job ourselves. Every time I'd check a window that these guys had done I'd see a smudge or something and think "Aha! Gotcha!" but it would turn out to be on the inside. There were only one window and one door I had to ask for a small touchup on and the crew did it with a smile on their face and energy in their step. After the job was done, equipment put away, I had paid them and they were sitting in their truck ready to leave when I spotted one downstairs window they had missed (I was distracted and didn't notice until then), so I ran to the truck to let them know and they jumped right out and cleaned it with no complaints or attitude whatsoever. They were a couple of hardworking guys that seemed grateful to have jobs, and it showed in their approach and their attention to detail as they worked. I also want to give a shout out to Desiree at the office, as I raked America's Best over the coals pretty hard here as our attempts to schedule this stacked up. But she didn't fire any salvos back at my review (now updated), and she called and emailed to follow up to make sure that everything had turned out OK given the wringer we'd gone through to actually get the job done.

The company's employee arrived on time. They went right to work and completed the job in a time manner.

America’s Best actually contracts the service out to another provider. The call center for America’s Best did have difficulty scheduling the appointment and getting things correct on their end. There was miscommunication with the representatives in the call center. Everything turned out fine once the work was completed. They showed up on time for the appointment. They completed they work quickly and efficiently.

America's Best, Inc. was to arrive between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. The worker arrived at 10:55 AM. I was to learn after his arrival that he was a handyman and received the job by searching Craiglist. In other words, America's Best had subcontracted the order to a handyman, who was neither bonded or insured. I am disappointed with Angie's List who sent me the e-mail advertising gutter cleaning at $89. Sounded like a good deal at the time, so I purchased the service. Never again will I do that without contacting the company. If I had known at the time of purchase that only 90 linear feet would be cleaned for $89, I would not have chosen this business. When America's Best, Inc. returned my call three days later to confirm my order, I was told that my $89 purchase was for only 90 linear feet, and that it would cost me $1.50 per foot for any additional cleaning. This was reiterated by the worker when he arrived. My house has over 250 linear feet of gutter, so I was shocked to have learned this information AFTER I had already paid for the service. Overall, I felt this advertising was a scam. Next time, I won't pay for any service before I get all the details. I still have to get the remaining gutters cleaned. Needless to say, I was disappointed.
