I called him for an appointment. He came in that evening, fixed the refrigerator and was paid.

Phil was courteous, professional, and prompt. He unfroze the motor (found a twist-tie in the motor). He adjusted to dishwasher door which was hitting the cabinet and then ran a cycle using dishwasher disinfectant. He gave me free advice over the phone and more maintenance tips while he was at the house. He thanked my for supporting "a small business." I would use him again. He was excellent.

My washing machine was not spinning and draining. I called A&J and he came out that day. He was courteous, knowledgable and friendly. He repaired the washer quickly and even gave me great maintenance tips on all my other appliances in the kitchen. He was a pleasure to work with and will be my appliance repair company from now on. I highly recommend A&J!

The repairman was very courteous and professional, and took the time to explain to me what the problem was and how he would fix it. He also quoted me the price for the total repair job before he started. He was in and out in less than 1 hour. I highly recommend this company

Phil was great. He was on time and extremely friendly. He really took the time to let me know how much I would be spending and what my other options would be. He also gave me advice on my other appliances that I asked him about. All this with no pressure to spend any further money. Definitely worth the cost of him coming out and fix stuff. Phil arrived punctually, was friendly, knowledgeble, and informative. The service fee for coming is $60.00 and is applicable to the work indicated. He charged me $20 for "15 minutes work" although he was there maybe 30 minutes or more. As a bonus he gave me lots of info on the dishwasher and excellent tips on making it last longer. He thanked me for calling a family owned business. A and J stands for his two children, and his wife works the office. I enjoyed the experience very much.

Our fridge stopped running while we were on vacation. We called Phil and described the problem and he was able to come to our house within 3 hours. The problem turned out to be exactly what he thought it was and he was able to repair it after going to his warehouse to get the part. Phil and his son, Andrew, were very professional and well-mannered. I did not get anything but a good feeling from them and the work they performed. I will definitely use them again if needed.

I called them by accident--thought it was another company. However, they were available and their business is close to our home and is family-owned--all of which I like. Also, they were able to get me in the same day. So I gave them a try. Phil worked hard to be there when he said so I had to take off relatively little time from work to be available (and who wants to use their vacation time to sit around waiting for dishwasher repair?). He was very friendly and very competent and completed the job quickly for a fair price. I like keeping my money in the neighborhood in a family-owned business but I wouldn't do so if they couldn't also do the job. But they make the grade on all counts. I would recommend them.

I picked this company because of good reports from other Angie's List members. In addition, his business is only 5 miles from our home. We called Phil on a Monday morning and since he had other business in our area, he agreed to see us the same day. He gave us a 3 hour window for the call: Noon to 3pm. Before we made the appointment, however, Phil walked me through a couple of things on the phone that might be causing the problem. Believe it or not, he actually waited on the phone while I disassembled the dishwasher vent on the sink to make sure it wasn't clogged. Too bad that wasn't the problem, but think about that: He was more interested in solving my problem than in making a buck! It turned out that Phil showed up at my house at Noon sharp. He immediately diagnosed the problem as a clog somewhere, disassembled a few things to find out where the clog was, cleared it, verified proper drainage operation and then provided a cleaner called Glisten designed to clean the dishwasher completely. He announced his fee structure after the service was provided: a standard $50 for the house call and a standard $45 to clear the clog, I paid and he left. His whole visit took about half an hour. I was very happy there wasn't more wrong with our dishwasher, but I was even more happy that Phil didn't take advantage of me by replacing parts that didn't need to be replaced. I would have liked to know what his service call was going to cost before he came out to our house, but I guess I could have asked on the phone and as it turned out, I was very reasonable. Phil was very professional in his dealings with me. He was competent, quick, fair and friendly. I'd highly recommend Phil for your appliance repair needs.

I was just really impressed that they work weekends and evenings and they do not charge extra for it. I did not pay for this service because I have a Home Protection plan and they had sent them out for me. They also covered the charge. They left me their card and I would use them again if I needed to. They did a great job. Phil was the guy's name and he has been in business for 18 years. They also have a web site.

Just great. Phil is a really nice guy. He gave me pointers on how to maintain my other large appliances. Will definitely keep him on the speed dial for any other problems.
