I phoned Jeff Vickland and he came over the same day. He had to spend some time diagnosing the problem because it was complicated. Jeff explained to me what the problem was and what he could do to correct it and gave he an estimate of the cost. He gave us a discount for being Angie's List customers! He did the work very professionally and efficiently then spent some time describing what changes could be done to avoid a repeat of the problem in the future and discussing a couple of other things that we would like to get fixed in the future. We will definately call him for any future electrical work!

Jeff was very responsive . He also checked out another circuit to debug why the circuit was non functional, and offered up options, without an additional charge. The best way to reach him is sometimes email, as he is always on the go and on the job. He does have some type of work (trenching) that he will not do due to a knee problem.

Jeff arrived on time, and brought everything with him that he needed, and had a list of the things I spoke to him about when we spoke on the phone. He asked me what I wanted to do first, instead of assuming, and he finished all the projects quickly and thoroughly. He explained what he was doing, and asked me if there were any other electrical issues that needed looking at or repaired when he finished. Jeff did an estimate for me on installing light fixtures in the garage, stating that it was no charge since he was already here. I appreciated that forward thinking, and will call him when I'm ready to have that work done. He knows electrical work well, having worked with his father since he was a boy. I highly recommend Jeff, and his quality work.

The representative came on time but only stayed for about ten min. then left saying that he would give me a call. He never gave me a quote or a call back. poor poor service, I do not recommend!

Jeff called me back the same day. He was able to come to my house and fix our bathroom light switch, install a new outside light fixture that turns on automatically when the sun goes down and automatically shut off when daylight comes back. He also fixed our ceiling fan so that we now have 3-speed control instead of just slow. He was very courteous and professional. He even called me to let me know he would be 15 minutes. He did an excellent job! When we have any other electronic issues we are definitely calling 1 Source Electric.

I purchased an Angie's List Deal for $500 to replace our electrical outlets. I contacted Jeff and scheduled the appointment. Jeff was on time and very professional. He came into our home, looked in each room, got a count on the outlets, ran to Home Depot to get the parts (based on my decision to replace everything with white), came back to the house and systematically went from room to room replacing the outlets. To my surprise, he also replaced all of the light switches and even replaced the light switch in the garage and an outdoor outlet. He finished the job and didn't have any clean-up to do because he cleaned as he went from room to room. He clearly had a lot of respect for our home. When he was done, I was amazed. Not only did everything look great but I didn't have sparks anymore when I pulled the plug for the TV out of the wall (pretty dangerous, I know). I was so impressed with Jeff that I got an estimate for adding 2 lights to the front of my garage, installing a ceiling fan and replacing some additional outdoor light fixtures. I've not yet scheduled Jeff to come back but now that the house is painted, I'll be contacting Jeff very soon. Great job, Jeff! Thanks very much!

The owner of the company came over to do the work too. They were very professional and well staffed. They came out the same day from across the town. They gave me a price quote with the details of what they thought the supplies would cost at the store too. They went to the hardware store and got some supplies. In the end it cost me $10 less than what they had quoted. They explained everything they did and let me know different tips to prevent this from happening again. They gave me information for other things that could save me money in the future. They even checked if there were any outlets or loose switches that they could look at; I didn’t have anything it was nice of them to check. I will be using him to do a lot of electrical work when I start doing my remodeling work at home.

I read the reviews of this person and was reasonably impressed so called to make an appointment to have outlets installed on the backyard deck. When I called and described what I wanted, I thought that Jeff provided a reasonable estimate and walked throguih what was needed. I asked if he wanted to meet to and look at the job as I live in an older land park home and generally nothing is as easy as it sounds. He pretty brusquely told me that a trip to reivew would only add to his costs for gas and he didnt need to see the job. Okay..so appointment made, he shows up on time and immediately says that the job was not what he expeced (shocking) - and was clearly not there to work as "it was going to be too hot." A second appointment was made, a second estimate agreed to. A no show for the second appointment and when called stated he thought we had an "open ended appointment" and was stuck in Roseville for many hours. Time off work wasted. Im so not impressed by the attitude and the un-professional demeanor that it does not really matter if the job might have been done well.

When I first contacted Jeff, he was very polite and actually listened to his customer. His initial estimate was a little on the steep side so I thought it best to contact other vendors. Although some provided lesser estimates, I didn't sense that they actually listened in the manner that Jeff did. So, we decided to go with Jeff and we certainly don't regret our decision. Although a minor job, Jeff took his time to explain the problem in a manner that everyone could understand. Anyway, Jeff, a job well done. Thank you and enjoy your weekend! While our calls to other service providers (including those we had used for large projects before!) went unreturned, Jeff responded immediately, provided a clear quote and set an appointment within a week. He showed up on time, performed all of the work within the quote provided, and left no trace of his work behind. I also appreciate that he took the time to explain each step, so we would be better informed consumers in the future. As a result, he will be the first electrical contractor we call for major jobs, and the only one we refer to our friends.

Jeff arrived on time and ready to listen and address all of my concerns with our new house. He inspected our entire interior and exterior electrical systems and installed 1 receptacle for our fireplace, 1 dryer attachment cord and 5 light fixtures in roughly three hours. He provided several options for further improvements to our house at our convenience. He inspected and explained our sprinkler system, hot tub pad electrical wiring and surround sound system as part of his service. Jeff provided an all-round excellent experience and I will use his service for my future electrical needs.

I purchased an Olympic Electric Raku Kiln to put in my garage and I had to have the proper outlet and breaker to supply adequate voltage and amperage. I needed a qualified electrician to determine whether my (1960 built) home wiring was adequate. My daughter had told me about Angie' Lists. I signed up. The first electrician I chose was Jeff (1 Source Electric) he had great customer reviews and I liked how he stood behind the quality of service he provides. I called him and he called me back the same day and gave me an appointment for the next morning. when he came to give me an estimate he was on time and very professional with a very nice demeanor. He also gives10% off for Angie's List subscribers and an additional 5% off to seniors. I have an old house and he told me my wiring wasn't adequate for running the 240 voltage needed for my kiln. He did a through exam of my main home circuit breaker and an additional 50 amp circuit breaker on the other side of the house. He explained the least expensive way to go by moving my kiln to the patio where the 50 circuit breaker is at and the more costly option-because of the supplies needed-which I settled on-of putting a 50 amp circuit breaker in the garage solely for the kiln (at my request for my convenience in raku firing) which entailed running a heavy duty power cord through the attic across the house to the garage. He also notice in the house main circuit breaker, that someone had put in two 15 amp power switches that should have been 30 amps. Replacing them was also in the estimate. We set up an appointment that was good for both of us. He let me know before hand that if I wanted to have it done that day, that he comes prepared with the tools and supplies to get started right away. On the day of service he went right to work by crawling through the attic and doing such a neat and exceptional job with the wiring... all the while explaining things to me whenever I had a question or for my own general knowledge. Everything went smoothly with installing the 50 amp circuit breaker. when he was finished he wanted to make sure instillation work, he helped me move the kiln to where it would permanently stay and plugged in and turned it on showed me how to work the 3 key-cone fire controller. When he worked on the house's main breaker he notice that he brought the wrong 30 amp switches, the breaker box was more older and had smaller switches. He returned the ones he purchased and bought two that would fit. they cost 50 dollars a piece. He suffered the cost and didn't charge me for them. I told him I would pay the extra cost, but he said no because the mistake was on his part. When he first arrived, I asked him would he replace a bad socket for my garbage disposal. He said he would look at it after he was finish with the other project and he gave me an estimate of 20 dollars. Well of course it was more the just replacing the socket; he had to do some rewiring. What ever he quote for an estimate, he sticks by it even if it involves more work. Jeff is a Godsend. I'll never have to look for another electrician. If you want an honest electrician; look no further. :)

Jeff is an expert at what he does. He recognized the problem immediately and fixed it. He refused any payment. Jeff is our electrician from now on......

I checked Angie's List to find an electrician for some electrical worked I needed done. 1 Source Electric had great reviews and had some significant discounts. So I called and left a message for an estimate. I received a callback the same day. Jeff quoted me his flat rate for the services I needed. He arrived at my home as scheduled. Jeff was ready to get to work, he had his tools in hand. I showed him what needed to be done and he got to work. He checked each switch, rewired as necessary. He was very efficient and worked quickly. I was very impressed at how quickly he got things done. He went to Home Depot bought the new switch that needed to be replaced and put it in. Once Jeff completed all the work we went switch to switch and he showed me that they were all working. He also gave me the old part that he replaced. I will definitely call him again when I need electrical work done his prices are very reasonable. I will also recommend him to my friends and family. Great job Jeff!!! Thank you

Jeff was prompt and very tidy. We had a list that he had given a bid on - his prices did not change after completing the job. He worked the list - always cleaning up after each job. He worked the inside and outside electrical problems moving through each job efficiently. We originally wanted him to repair the lighted kitchen fan, but after meeting him, I decided on a new fan instillation.......no problem for Jeff. The only thing that seemed to ever interrupt him or really divert his attention from his work was ME. He was extremely polite and adept the entire day - into the evening. He applied a senior citizen and an Angie's list discount without being asked. As long as Jeff is 1 Source Electric, he is our electrician and computer man forever more. We love him and Angie's list for getting us together.

He is excellent and really good. One thing is sure, the next time we need anything we are going to call him. There was a coupon on Angie’s List that he honored. The problem was so unique and it was an electrical issue but it had something to do with the sprinklers. It was somewhat related to plumbing so we first tried out with plumbers but they couldn’t detect it and said it was an electricians job. Some of the other electricians we contacted were a bit hesitant to come and look at it because they thought it was a plumbing issue and they didn’t want to come and mess with that. I remember it was a late Saturday afternoon and he agreed to come. He initially told us over the phone that it could be an irrigation issue but he was happy to come down and see the issue. When he came down initially he thought it was an irrigation issue but I had my own reasons to believe it was an electrical job. I already had tried out the plumbing. Both of us worked together and even though the sprinkler system was not his forte he still kept on researching on his phone. Eventually it came to the point where we found out that it was a problem with the control box and he was there for at least a couple of hours. He was very patient and more interested in getting the job done. I really appreciated it. I took his card and if next time we have an issue we know who to call. I don’t know what others charge. I would rate him high for his price because he came out on a late Saturday evening.

They were wonderful and I highly recommend them. I paid well under $200 with a coupon. I will use them in future.

Both times, Jeff and I spoke in detail on the phone about the work to be done, and he told me what materials I needed to get from the home-improvement store. I picked the items I wanted, and he installed them. He explained how they worked, how to set them, etc. He has a deep understanding of his trade and is happy to share that information with his customers. After completing the work, he asked if there was anything else that needed to be fixed and even checked out my outlets. He was the one who suggested replacing my old bathroom ballast (which was going out intermittently) with an electronic one, and it was a huge improvement. The next time I have another job for him, I will probably replace the one in the other bathroom, as well, as the new one is so much nicer--the lights come right on, and it doesn't hum.

The estimate was fine. I was happy with it. He is going to install a couple of new lights for the garage on the outside, and he is going to install some lights in the laundry area. I am going to have him do it as soon as I get the 2 parts. He was outstanding. While he was there, he was very professional and very good.

Overall, we were very iimpressed with both his professionalism, how quickly and perfectly he did the work, but most of all because he was so very nice in explaining what he was doing and what had been fixed. My brother even came by to be sure everything was going well, and he was VERY impressed with the work being done and how very nice he was. I would recommend Source 1 to anyone needing electrical work done.
