We have been to the clients home on 2 different occasions, we sent the original estimate that included the floor tile estimate and the fencing estimate. They responded back saying they only wanted the fence at this time, so we sent a second estimate that reflected only the fencing cost. We will reach out to them again to see if we can resolve this.

I like the fact that the owner of the company came out and talked to me originally and did the estimate, told me sort of what I was going to need. Then when the crew showed up, and started doing the work he was there at that point as well and actually made some changes to what I actually requested him in the first place. He made a quick write up of what the changes were and it were in my hand within a few minutes and we agreed on the price and what the project scope was. They did not miss a beat and they finished installing for the fence and got it all done within a week or so.

This began with a tile floor for my bathroom. Tony and crew, who were great throughout, did a great job and agreed to do a second bathroom floor for the same price. Unfortunately in the process, we found that the shower had a slow leak and that some of the floor and the wall behind the tile shower was rotten, so the new floor turned into a legitimate remodel which included, among other things, removing part of a wall so that the walk-in tub I had ordered could be installed. Additionally, Tony was called upon to repair a cracked fitting on the tub, as delivered. Whether it was running the gas line to the new tank-less water heater or or texturing and painting the newly replaced wall or installing new water lines. Tony and his crew did it all with professionalism and concern for my bottom line. He was always available by phone or text message and responded well to any problem (there were few). I would heartily endorse Tony for any job and will be happy to use his services again.
Description of Work: Installed new tile floors in two bathrooms including large master suite area. Ran new gas line for, and installed new tankless water heater. Installed new walk-in jetted tub and tested and repaired tub fitting before installation. Installed new plumbing lines for tub and shower. Replaced and repaired wall damaged by water and removed for tub installation. Tiled wall surrounding new tub. Textured and painted wall. Ran electrical and gas lines under house. Installed new bathroom vent/light/heater.

I contacted Roseville Construction to install porcelain tile flooring throughout a new home due to the rave reviews on Angie's List. I scheduled an estimate with the owner Tony and he never showed up. I called him to see what was going on and he called me back a half hour later saying that he was running another 15 min late. I told him that I had a newborn and had to leave but told him exactly what needed to be done and to walk through the model home and send me an estimate. He said he would and never followed through. UPDATE: After posting my review on Angie's list, I finally received an estimate. The pricing was reasonable but we have already selected another installer.

It is correct I was running late to our scheduled appointment, and was completely my fault that I was late. I did follow through and go walk the model home to review what would be required of me to complete the job. On the following monday I tried to contact the potential client to get an email address to send the estimate to. As of this time I still have not received a message or a return call.

I have to give an F for a compny that does not return your calls. I contacted a number of other contractors as well, and while they did not have the time to give me a quote, they did at lease respond to let me know. When you try to contact Roseville construction, you get nothing but a generic cell phone message, so you're not even certain you have the correct number. I called a couple of times and left a message. I received no response.

It did not go nearly as well as I had hoped or expected. I bought Roseville Construction's $335 coupon for a general contractor for 8 hours. I called to schedule a date and left a message. After two days with no return call, I called again. I spoke to a rep who said he didn't have access to his scheduling board and would call me back in 30 minutes. After another 2 days without a return call, I called him again and successfully scheduled a date. The rep said he wanted to send 2 guys for 4 hours each instead of 1 guy for 8 hours. I agreed & gave him a list of about 7 tasks (in priority order) that I hoped to complete as time permitted. The 2 workers arrived on time on the scheduled date and both individuals were personable. I asked if they were licensed general contractors and they said no -- that they were handymen working under the supervision (which turned out to be telephonic) of a licensed general contractor. They skillfully accomplished just 2 of the tasks on my list, which took only about 1.5 hours. Then we started down the other items on the list. Although they provided some useful insight and advice with regard to some of the other issues on my list, they didn't actually accomplish any of the other tasks despite having ample time remaining. They declined to do 2 minor electrical projects, although they were on the list provided to the company. They agreed to climb into the attic to troubleshoot some ceiling sheetrock problems and poked their head into the attic, but then said they didn't think they could find the problematic panels (without even trying). I could have found it myself in about 10 minutes, but I'm 67 and have difficulty climbing around in attics. After initially agreeing to help me replace 5 exterior T1-11 wall panels, they called their supervisor and then declined since they wouldn't be replacing all the panels on that wall. That struck me as irrelevant. With so much time remaining and very few tasks done, I scrambled to find more work for them. So, even though I could easily have done the work myself, I had them prime paint a brick pony wall on the front of the house. With so many of my tasks that they couldn't or wouldn't do, they ended up working less than 6 hours before I turned them loose. Although they were conscientious workers, they were not licensed general contractors as indicated by the coupon and were not qualified to do many things I needed to have done. And, I never received a single apology for all the poor responsiveness or service. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Description of Work: At a rental house, installed door knobs & drawer pulls on newly painted kitchen cabinets. Repaired deadbolt latch on kitchen door to garage. Prime painted an exterior pony wall in the front of the house.

1. Tony of Roseville Construction was one of 3 bidders on the project and he was the one in the middle. He was the only one who described in detail how he would do the job and the reasons why. 2. Construction was solid, professional and actually has stylish extras that we had not considered. 3. There were some issues with the finish work. When we pointed out some missed steps, Tony and his son came out and made it all right. 4. We are delighted with the results and feel that we got very good value for our money.

(member name removed name), My apologizes for you not receiving the bid. I sent the first one to what seemed to be the wrong email address, i used .com instead of .net. When you sent the email that you had not received the estimate that is when we realized that I had sent to wrong address. I then re-sent the estimate to your correct address. A couple of days later I sent you a follow-up email asking if had received the estimate. The next day I received your email stating the following: "Hi, Tony - No, I never did get it. I'm sorry, but I've decided to go with a different company. I wish you the best. Alisa " I am sorry that things have falling through the cracks, but we certainly did not forget about you or your project. From beginning to end, the job was done as agreed. They were clean, the installation was done excellently ... there were no surprises. I'd recommend Roseville Construction Company to my family and friends without a second thought. The price was GREAT, too.
Description of Work: I've been installing new flooring in my house and the offer from Roseville Construction Co for replacing, with tile, a bathroom floor arose on Angie's list. The price seemed so low that, despite being a die hard 'do it yourselfer', I hired Roseville. The owner came in, showed me about 15 different tiles from which to choose and had his expert installer there a few days later. They pulled the toilet, removed the old carpet and old tile. The installer did a beautiful job of cutting, laying and grouting the tile. A day later, the owner came back and when he installed the toilet he also installed a new seal and new water supply line. Everything was cleaned up.

Contractor called hour prior to appt to make sure they knew what we wanted and had parts. When arrived they (2 men) looked at water softener said they needed to go get parts to connect. Looked at wall in bedroom said they needed to call another guy (at least 30 minutes away). When he arrived said he didn't want to cut into the wall (even though we showed him pictures of the construction phase to show a hollowed wall w/ no obstructions). I wanted to cut open that wall and put the doggie door there with basic shelves for books above it - which is why I bought 2 days - figured hour for the water softner the rest of two days for doggie door and 4 shelves. He said for him to do it would require finishing and that was like built in cabinets so it would be a crazy amount that would be ridiculous (according to him - he never gave me a number). By this time, I just want the doggie door installed. We had him do it next to the glass slide. in the living room. I watched him measure the dog's shoulders and mark the wall. When I came back the doggie door was too high. We have tried putting steps on each side, but bottom line we will have to pay another contractor to remove, lower and patch the new house wall outside. By this time the guys are back from the store, hooked up the water softener (remember it was already pre- wired and plumbed) and they brought back a receipt for $70.00+ dollars in parts to be reimbursed. We didn't want them touching anything else and told them to keep the 2nd day labor for the receipts. Then when the water softener cycled through, it LEAKED from the connection. The guy did not put a clamp on the hose! Based on our experience I cannot recommend this company. I don't believe the guys they sent were contractors. Four years ago we had the water softner and the doggie door installed by a handy man withno issues

[member name removed], First I will apologize to you for not meeting your expectations, we strive to exceed our clients expectations and by your comments we obviously failed so for that I am truly sorry. To address a couple of your concerns let me state that when I was first contacted about installing the pet door I was only given a picture of a framed wall. Normally a pet door is installed thru a 2x4 or 2x6 exterior wall. Not an exterior wall into a void area then aprox 18"-24" back then a 2x4 interior wall. When you should me a picture of what you wanted it also show the pet door in the exterior wall and a built in cabinet Thus that is when I told you the cost to build a custom built in for that space would be very expensive, in the range of $1500-2500. When I installed the pet door in the secondary location you choose I followed all the manufacture specifications on determine the height of the opening and installation. As for the parts the promotion did not include any parts or materials. Thus the reason I presented a receipt for the exact amount we spent for the parts need to install the water softener. I did agree to not collect for the parts in leu of the hours. So again I apologize for the not meeting your expectations, however given the whole situation we did the best that could be expected with the circumstances that were present. Sincerely, Tony

I purchased the Angie"s List Coupon for "8 Hours Contractor" work. I waited over one month for the date scheduled by the company, which was acceptable. I was told they would be at my home at 9 AM on Monday, March 25, 2013. On the date of service promised, I called the company at 11:00 AM to find out when they would arrive as scheduled. I got the distinct impression that my job was forgotten and if I had not called them, I would have not heard from them at all. I was told that ?Steve was in the ER last night?? Then I was told, ?I forgot thatI had him scheduled for a job.? After two phone calls I was told that they would try to get someone ?out there? and they would get back to me. I did not hear back from them. I understand that things happen, but there was a total lack of communication on their end.

(member name removed), I take full responsibility for us missing your scheduled appointment and apologize for doing so, that is not indicative of our level of service. I tried to explain to you that one of our guys had gone to the ER on Sunday, and had called me that night explaining such. He then said he would like to take Monday off to rest. Since I had given him his work load last week I did not recall what was on his schedule nor did he tell me what was on his schedule thus I said that would be fine. Again MY mistake for not verifying his schedule was clear or that I could cover it. When you did call yes I was surprised that we had missed your appointment and I went immediately to making calls to see how I could get things scheduled around to get it covered. You explained to me that If it could not happen today we would need to reschedule for the weekend or possibly sometime next week. The next thing I got was and email asking for a refund, I promptly responded to you explaining how to go about processing the refund. I completely understand that we failed you and again i offer you my sincere apology for doing so. I wish you the best and hope that you find someone to complete your projects in a timely manner. Tony to owner seemed a little disorganized most of the time I contacted him. He could not recall what I wanted done even when I sent him an email twice with my list. I had to call to confirm the appointment instead of him calling to confirm. He sent two guys to do the work. Tony did not explain that the two guys are the equivalent to a days work, but they really don't stay the whole time because there are two people doing the work. One of the guys explained to me what time they were expected to leave. They worked diligently and got all the work done in record time. I would use them again. Good work ethics.

I received a call for the work to be done Friday, March. As far as the bathroom, the tiles and the toilet are concerned, I am very pleased. The men were professional and friendly and worked as fast as could be. The new exhaust fan was to be installed “soon" - and the electrician came on a Saturday. He could have installed the fan/heater light- except, I had ordered the exhaust with the heater only. So we contacted 'Toni' and decided to return this package and I would call when the new box with the exhaust fan, heater and light had arrived. I called several times, and Toni said that he would give me a call, and give me a date for the electrician. I forgot when I called him the last time and left a message. He never returned my call again, and the electrician did not come either. I found this VERY disappointing. So, after 4 weeks of waiting I contacted another electrician from your list, Jeff Shields. He came last Thursday; March 15. An estimate was send Monday, March 18th, and Thursday, March 21 and I got the call that the electrician will work on Friday, March 22 at 10 am. The exhaust fan, heater and light were installed within 3 hours today. The men were very efficient, friendly, and cleaned up. I can highly recommend Shields Electric. They did good work in my house.

I contacted Roseville Construction about installing a larger drop-in tub after I received estimates from another contractor who couldn't schedule the job for almost 4 weeks. They made an appointment to visit the job site, provided a competitive estimate, and were able to schedule the job in less than a week. The project went very well. They were able to expand the existing opening in my tub enclosure to accommodate the new tub without any damage to the surrounding tile. The new opening was successfully positioned so that the holes from the old faucet and handle placement were completely concealed. As with most projects, there were a couple of unexpected challenges which were not visible until the job began. A piece of the subfloor which had previously been removed was positioned exactly underneath one of the tub feet. They removed and reinstalled a section of the subfloor and braced it to provide proper support. With the new tub in place, it became clear that the subfloor was not level, so they returned the next morning with the necessary materials to correct the problem and provide proper support. Most importantly, they honored their original estimate without discussion. Their work habits on the jobsite were exemplary. Care was taken to contain the dust. Trash and debris was removed daily. And they even vacuumed the carpeting adjacent to the work area, which was above and beyond my expectations. The only opportunity for improvement I noticed was telephone responsiveness. A had to call once to follow-up on the estimate and once again to finalize the date/time when the work was to be done. Everything else was nearly perfect, and I would hire them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: Roseville Construction replaced my existing drop-in bathtub with a new, larger drop-in tub. The work included installing a dust containment barrier; removing the old tub (salvaging the existing hardware); enlarging the existing hole in the top of the tub enclosure; reframing as necessary to provide proper support for the new tub; relocating the drain, faucet and handles; installing the new tub; hauling away the debris; and cleaning up.
