Contract services we not individually priced so not easy to see where costs could be reduced. The initial payment required exceeded the 10% limit but I trusted him from his reviews. Main project costs did not increase unexpectedly. Extras were reasonable. Main remodel job, drywall repair and doors completed in 2 weeks. Bob was very responsive and on time. He required me to deliver all heavy finish materials (vanity, top and tiles)-would have been nice if delivery was part of the contract. Workers were considerate and cleaned up well. A few doors seemed out of spec and he had to shim them or replace the jams with wider wood. I should have checked them more closely. Not completely satisfied with these two doors but the multiple extra services he provided at reasonable cost made up for it.

Great! Was able to get a long fence put up in one day. Extraordinary work by Matt Rua who had creative solutions for a few problem areas and did a great job. Used this company for another complex fencing job in 2013 and was very pleased with their work then, too.

Right on time, the crew showed up the Monday after Thanksgiving 2014 to begin demolition of the kitchen and family room, finishing that phase in mere days. It can be a rattling experience to see the inside of your house reduced to just the frame, but the speed and accuracy in which Tony’s crew rebuilt the ‘bones’ of the kitchen allowed us to see it take shape very quickly. The rest of the kitchen framing went very fast, and the drywall was up just after New Years day. Despite a few delays from outside vendors, we were still able to have a working kitchen by the middle of February. Actual time spent on construction was less than seven weeks! Even with the usual occurring problems such as issues with the cabinet vendor or delays in appliance delivery, rather than shrug his shoulders and say, “it’s not my problem,” Tony took control and said, “What can we do to help?” Those six words are the difference between an average contractor, and an outstanding one. We don’t hesitate to recommend Roseville Construction for any kitchen or bath remodel – in fact, they’re working on the second phase of our remodel in 2016.
Description of Work: Although this isn’t our first home, this was our first serious remodel. While working with our kitchen designer, we received several bids from the designer’s vendors and our own research. It pays to get competing bids, since they were a surprising range of prices. Tony Elliott at Roseville Construction was the deciding factor in what was a truly competitive process because of his can-do attitude, and willingness to explain the details of his bid.

He was prompt, knowledge, and good at what he does. The entire job took one person, a little over half an hour. (When estimate stated a crew for a couple hours). I was still charged $400 and feel taken advantage of. The ethical thing to do would be to prorate that amount. I understand it was last minute so there maybe premium but not that high. I believe it was over top.

I contacted Roseville Construction off of Angies List on March 14th regarding information about having a bathroom remodel done. The person I spoke with explained the process and I scheduled an in-home consultation with them for March 17th at 4:00 PM. I ask for a late afternoon appointment and was told 4:00PM was the latest appointment they could make. On March 17th my wife left work early to be able to be home for the consultation. Nobody from Roseville Construction arrived that day for the scheduled appointment, and we received no contact from the company by telephone. Communication and Reliability are two of the greatest qualities I look for in a professional contractor that I would consider doing business with. Roseville Construction failed in both of these area's with me and also wasted my and my wife's time. That is why I gave my interaction with this company a failing grade. Mr. Russ Powell

Everything turned out pretty good. It went pretty great, they were timely. I had asked for specific things, and when it came down to the specific things, I had to question him about it, otherwise he would have given me something that I didn't want. He then charged me extra for what I had originally asked for, so I didn't care for that part, he charged me twice. At the end, he charged me for the parts of the one bathroom, and he charged me for the installation of the second bathroom, he charged me for the parts and not the installation for one bathroom, and then at the end, it could be human error, but I didn't care for the things he tacked on at the end. They were here when they said, but there were times when there was not proper communication. I would possibly use them again. They did an overall good job, but there were a few things that didn't sit with me too well.

Having been left high and dry by our contractor, we had negative four days to provide our lender with an estimate of costs for the renovation of a property we were purchasing. Tony sent Scott out to meet with us the day after I called them. Scott was knowledgeable and professional. We discussed what should be included in the quote and emphasized that we needed the quote no later than 5pm the following day. He measured and looked around, spending, all told, about 30-45 minutes with us and then promised Tony would respond within our time-frame. Tony did sent us the estimate well before the deadline. Unfortunately, we felt it was too high and had to decline the work.

Excellent. This was our first major remodel using a contractor and Tony led us through the process and was very helpful all along the way. He made suggestions that helped us to select the tile, fixtures and granite that would best suit our home and lifestyle. His crew was friendly and helpful, too. They let us know what to expect, asked the right questions, and communicated their progress each day. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Most of it went very well. Tony has a great personality and has good subs in general -- some more deliberate and perfectionist in nature than others. But we were able to communicate to him what we deemed properly done and what fell short during the process, then adjust things as we went. Both of us are at home full time (one retired and the other running a business from home), so we were able to be engaged in the entire process. He was aware of our own anal-retentive natures and was able to go with the flow, not become defensive, and respond appropriately to our reactions. This is actually a VERY important quality in a contractor.
Description of Work: Two projects within the same room: (1) Dining room balloon wall received 6 art niches with stone backsplash and lighting. This required demo, framing, drywall, texture, paint, tile person and lighting hook-up. Tony also helped us with design. (2) under-stairs storage and access.

I called them on 7/7 to schedule an appointment. I did not get a return call. I called back on 7/10 to set up an estimate. They scheduled an appointment. They no called no showed. I called to verify the appointment and rescheduled. They no called no showed again. When I spoke to the provider they were less than professional and his tone of voice was questionable. They tried to imply their first missed appointment was my fault or that I wrote the date down wrong but that is not the case.

Roseville Construction did an outstanding deck repair , tearing out old decking material and replacing much of it. Due to some dry rot in the supports the job was much more extensive than anticipated and they handled the extra time commitment with grace and did an excellent job. We appreciated their thoroughness and attention to detail. The paint job was superb. They helped out with a flooring repair at the last minute when we lost our original contractor. In a difficult time frame they came through for us and worked very hard to get it all done properly.

Tony was easily the lowest price of the 4 bids I got. He was very easy to speak with and discuss what we wanted to have done. Since we were trying to keep costs as low as possible, he allowed me to do some of the work myself in between there work. His crew was nice and would explain what they were doing. They were very careful to keep everything tarped off and clean as possible. The best thing was Tony was available by text after I would get off work late if I had questions, he would take care of any issues soon after our discussions. The work was done on time and as scheduled. There were some hiccups along the way as with any big project, but he kept be up to date with changes and everything was done to our liking. The only thing that was not done correctly was the tile flooring was supposed to go in on a diagonal to the door not perpendicular, it wasn't a big deal and he made up for it by doing a few extra things at no cost; he did offer to pull it up and redo it but we declined. Several months after some of the tile grout started to Chip and I let him know, he sent his tile guy who laid the floor out to look at it and it was determined that little bit of flex in the plywood flooring caused the grout cracking, but the tile was still laminated to the floor. The simple solution was to use the color match latex caulk grout that will flex; that fixed the problem and didn't require ripping up the floor and all the work that entails. Overall very happy with how our bathrooms turned out., (this being written almost a year later)

Tony is great to work with. I have bought several rental properties in the Sacramento/Antelope/Roseville area -- and needed them turned quickly so I could get them rented. As soon as I was in contract on a house, I would get Tony in there -- do a walkthrough of the house, come up with a detailed list of what I needed done -- and as soon as I closed Tony and his crew were in there knocking out the work. Tony has a good eye for pulling things together -- he's not an interior designer -- but he's better than most contractors I have worked with. An example -- the fiberglass shower failed in one of my rentals. I called Tony -- he brought over some sample bone colored tiles with a profile, and accent glass tiles and marble floor tiles. It all worked very nicely. I work with a couple of other contractors -- Tony isn't always the cheapest -- but he's always very competitive on pricing -- and he always gets things done. I trusted him so much -- that I even flew him down to Palm Springs with me when my condo flooded down there after a toilet leak. He advocated for me with the insurance agent -- we flew back to Sacramento -- I picked out everything that I wanted and he drove down to Palm Springs with his trailer and knocked out the work. I flew down there -- created a check list -- and a month or so later, he went down again (with his wife) and finished up the check list. That's delivery. He's a good guy -- that does good work -- I will definitely work with him again in the future.

Provider did not call or show for appt... not the best impression for a potential customer. I realize this is probably a busy time of year for contractors, but this is poor customer service and in my opinion may reflect on the type of work actually performed. Very disappointing.
Description of Work: I reached put to the provider via Angie's list and sent an email. It took a few days for a response. The provider stated he wasn't sure how he missed my email. Since I was still trying to get a couple of bids for a bathroom remodel, I was still willing to schedule an appt. The provider gave me a couple of dates and times, and I selected 7/19 at noon. No call or show.

We had them for an estimate but he was more expensive than I wanted. It was for the partial remodel of the bathroom. He seems like a nice man but we just found a handyman that would do it with less money. He was very professional, in fact, of all the ones that we got the estimate from, I enjoyed him the most. It took a while to get this project off the ground, and there were some delays while waiting for ordered items (tiles, window) to arrive, but overall I'd say it went smoothly. Tony was always helpful in explaining what needed to be done, and why. Tony and his crew were hard-working, polite and professional.
Description of Work: Bathroom remodel. The job started out as a partial remodel, but the contractor soon found that the entire floor and sub-floor were rotten, damp and moldy. In the end, this turned out to be a complete remodel, from the floor up. The only original item still remaining is the tub. (That means a complete rebuild of the floor, repair of walls damaged by water, installing tiles on the floor and on the shower/tub wall, installing new sliding doors for shower/tub, installing new toilet, installing new vanity cabinet with granite top and new medicine cabinet. And, painting the walls and ceilings.)
