It went great

Dan (owner) came out as arranged and gave us an estimate (we got 3 estimates--he was in the middle). When we went to the HOA here in Sun City Lincoln Hills on 11/26, we were told it had to go on the knee wall. When I called, he said that would be $870 additional to drill the wall. We agreed, even though we thought the charge was excessive. He said he'd try to squeeze us in (weather permitting). The rain was steady that week, but right after it cleared his crew arrived and set the poles. The next day it rained. On the following day they were here and finished the fence, It looks great and my husband is very happy with the quality.

Work was done quickly but professionally. Special parts had to be ordered for the driveway gate and the owner Dan Worrell kept me updated and informed every step of the way. Good experience

I have been overall satisfied with my experiences with Cal-Sierra Fencing. I asked them to repair the existing fence or replace the entire fence. The person that came out was very knowledgeable, very helpful and had a lot of good ideas. They were open and discussed with me. I would use them in the future.

1 Aug 2011; Dane came out and provided the estimate and options for the job such as fence and gate using the existing chain link fence posts on one side, fence/gate with new posts, finished concrete pad work for an 8'x3' area. I accepted the work a few days latter and was informed that because scheduling and workload it would be a couple of weeks before the job commenced and that James would contact me for final scheduling. 16 Aug 2011; James made contact for scheduling the project. We agreed on 22 Aug 2011 22 Aug 2011; Miguel and Jake arrived on time and after a brief project review commenced with work. Miguel and Jake were efficient, professional, and courteous. As I'm a little bit of a control freak and particular about certain things, both Miguel and Jake were quick to answer my questions throughout the project and addressed any concerns or proposed modifications to the details of the project. The materials used were first rate. For example the fence/gate vertical posts which are usually identified by overall dimension (2,5in, 3in, etc) and wall thickness (20 gauge, 18 gauge, etc) were instead 3 inch square pipe with 1/4 wall thickness (no gauge value there). I don't anticipate that these supports will ever sage or be damaged by wind (just what I was looking for). The fence and gate frames were fabricated on site. The fence/gate frame along with the hinges, latches, and tabs for attaching the wood were all welded with full length welds and painted. The fence/gate was finished in 6 inch dog eared redwood. The concrete work, although not their specialty, was very well done. From start to finish it took a day and a half to complete the project which is exactly what I expected. The finished project is better than I expected. Cal-Sierra Fence lived up to their promise and delivered. I would definitely use them again. NOTE: Although the cost may seem higher than other companies, the materials used, the solidness and quality of the finished project are appropriate (you get what you pay for). Also, as with any remodel project you have to prep the work site for the new materials and in this project's case it took 5 hours of solid work to get what somebody else had done before cleared out, corrected and readied for the new work. So the price seemed right in line with the project.
