John was professional, thorough, and very pleasant. I would recommend Magnolia to my neighbors. He is also checking our A/C while here for $79 which I feel is reasonable.

They were satisfactory. There were no additional fees associated with the deal. They finished in maybe three quarters of hour.

Jake came out very promptly. Even though it was a Saturday, he arrived exactly on time. He examined and then explained what he was going to do. He got it working. We don't have a comparison for the cost but it seemed alright. Tammy in the office was also very friendly and helpful. We will definitely keep their number and use them again when needed.

They are amazing! Their customer service is excellent, and they really live up to all the good reviews that have been left for them.

Our A/C unit died just before we were hosting a party. The technician tried everything to get the unit working taking almost three hours. He finally pronounced it needed replacing and scheduled it for the day before our party. However, they did not have the correct size of compressor we needed and told us it would be next week. However, they returned twice to patch together a fix just to get us some cooling for the party. They probably ended up working 8 hours to get it revived. Cost: $0. Okay, they knew we were going to install a new system, but they went well beyond expectations to help us out. They did an excellent job explaining our options. They provided the estimated return on investment. We opted to replace both HVAC systems and some of the duct work. The installation took three days. They took great care cleaning up everything. The technicians were friendly and professional. There is a reason they get such high ratings! They certainly exceeded my expectations in terms of service, keeping me informed and friendliness. It impressed me how they tried so hard NOT to replace the unit immediately. We are very satisfied and much cooler!

The service went just fine. One technician came out and completed the service in less than a couple hours. He did good work and was very courteous. I did not feel like he was trying to up sell me. I had no problem scheduling the deal. Overall I was very satisfied.

The service person did not complete the work. He used only a brush to reach into the outlet vent from the wall to the ceiling where it vents out. He did not use a vacuum, consequently exhaust tube from the dryer was still full of lint and poorly connected. The dryer kept taking longer and longer to dry the clothes, right up until it stopped drying altogether. Also, pushed hard to sell a part that would attach to the furnace, costing, he said, 1250. We said "no, thank you," then come to find out what he said was 1250, was, in fact, $1,250.00. (Consider the actual call was for servicing the dryer vent) We felt poorly serviced and even, "conned." However, he said the dryer vent was all set and we believed him until the dryer had to serviced again on 8/22/2014

Was professional and on time. I felt like he was honest and knowledgeable. Has my old A/C working as good as when it was new.

We got Magnolia Heating & Cooling (Riverside, Ca.) through Angie's list about a year ago. they had many reviews and almost all of them were "A" rated. Our air conditioning system wasn't working so we asked for a real good a/c tech. they sent a great tech. named Jacob. Jacob really knew what he was doing. He figured out what was wrong with the system in a few minutes, and fixed it very quickly. This time it was our other a/c system that failed, and I asked for Jacob again. My good fortune, Jacob was on call today (Saturday) and they sent him. Again Jacob figured out what was wrong in a few minutes and fixed it real fast. Jake was professional and very knowledgeable. He resolved the electrical problem quickly while explaining problems witih a solution. He was attentive to my concerns and gave me valueale information to prepare me for future issues. In fact, if I encounter future electrical problems I will contact Magnolia and ask for Jake.

The process went well the tech did his testing and found a weak component that may cause a future problem .He asked if I wanted it replaced and I agreed. He had the part on his truck and took care of the potential problem without making an additional trip.

This was my first time using Angie's List and my first time using Magnolia Heating and Cooling, Inc. Magnolia Heating and Cooling, Inc. was rated highly on Angie's List, was rated highly by co-workers and is a qualified installer for SCE. So, of course, I was expecting a really great company to take care of my business. I have to say, I was extremely impressed with Magnolia Heating and Cooling...beginning with my email and phone call with Brenda. Brenda was extremely polite and very personable and was very effective in answering all my questions. She informed me when the technician would be at my house. She also let me know which technician would be coming to my house. Later that day, i received an email confirming the appointment along with a brief introduction/qualification of Jacob Schafer, the technician assigned to resolve my issues. I was hoping that my AC could be repaired for a nominal price...but i had two major issues; non-working fan and at least one hole in the coils. Jacob was straight up and let me know my options; repair the AC unit or replace the unit. Although i decided to invest in a new AC, I will wait until I finish some planned construction to enlarge the house, which will require a bigger unit. Jacob explained all the new technology available with the new AC units (my AC is about 12 years old) and I look forward to exploring these options. As you can see I was happy about my experience...but what impressed me most about Magnolia Heating and Cooling, Inc., especially with Jacob is that he only sold me what I needed. Case in point, when we he was looking at the GFCI in the garage, he advised me to first try and clean the coils on the refrigerator (2nd refrigerator in the garage) so that this would stop tripping the CFGI in the garage. It works and it didn't cost me a dime. If he was only after my money, he would have sold me a new GFCI. I did have Jacob replace the other GFCI in the kitchen and I found an additional GFCI in a bathroom that I suggested we change. Jacob also advised me to replace any old appliances like old hair dryers, old curling irons, etc..., which tend to draw a lot of energy and trip the GFCI. All his suggestions have been adopted and I have no further issues. The cost to replace two (2) GFCI's was $321.00. Thank you Brenda, thank you Jacob and thank you Magnolia Heating and Cooling...I am a very satisfied customer!

The tech was hard working. The company is dependable. Will use again.

I called Magnolia a 7:15am and someone was there to answer my call and set me up an appointment for a technician to be at my home early that afternoon. With the heat being 100 degrees and a house with children getting someone to respond the same day is more than great (no extra charge either). The technician (David) was very friendly and talked me through his checks until he found the problem. He quoted me a fair price and proceeded to fix the unit. He went the extra step and check all the connections in the system and tightened where necessary. When he presented me with the bill, I gave him my ANGIE'S LIST COUPON which he accepted and discounted my bill per the coupon. My air conditioner was fixed and the price was discounted the same day using Angie's List and Magnolia Heating and Cooling.

When ever we need service we always call Magnolia Heating and Cooling, and request tech Jacob. Our AC unit was not providing cold or cool air. Called on Monday for Jacob to come out, and he was at our house the next day! Jacob added refrigerant to our system, and we now have readings of 57 degrees cold air in our vents! House feels great, and we are sleeping good again! Thanks again Jacob!

They couldn't perform the service because the space between the ceiling and the roof didn't allow for the lights to be installed.

The were unable to inspect another company's work.

Lousy. an employee of the company came to the house and did an inspection of the air conditioning system. He then declared that we need a need AC system at a cost of $7000-$10,000. When asked if the existing system could be repaired the employee insisted that only a new system would accomplish the task. when the employee was told that we could not afford that amount of money at this time he answered by telling us of his company's great payment plans. no matter what alternatives were presented to the technician he adamantly stated that we needed a new system. Well, we decided to send him on his way as we felt that he was not being entirely truthful. We contacted another A/C repair company, which is not on Angie's List. Long story short, the other company fixed the existing system for $1450 and it has been working extremely well. the reason i joined Angie's List is to hopefully save a few bucks which would at least cover the price of membership. needless to say I was extremely disappointed. If these are the types of companies on your list you may as well know right now that i wont be renewing my membership. Even though i joined less than two weeks ago I wont be looking for anything else on Angie's List.

They called after being 45 minutes late telling me that they would be late. I could not wait as I scheduled work off.

They did a great job. They came before any else did and they came on a really hot do so I appreciated their responsiveness.

David performed the check and identified a few problems. He explained everything very well. He recommended the solution to fix the problems.

Jacob was very professional and friendly. I'm in the service business myself, so I can tell when someone has integrity. He explained exactly what he found (burned up blower motor). He had the part with him, and it was installed quickly. I don't know if this is a standard thing to do or not, but he carried rubber booties he put on his shoes when walking though your home, so as not to track dirt on your carpet. He removed them when up in the attic. This was a nice touch. Got an extra 5% off for mentioning Angie's List! I would definitely recommend Magnolia Heating & Cooling to everyone with confidence.

I have not as yet made a decision on purchasing the HVAC system.
