Better than I could have ever imagined! Bought coupon on line for service check knowing there was going to be maintenance but expecting to cost over $1000. We have 2 units and 1 was dead. The technician was absolutely the most professional we have ever had to the house no matter what service or company it was for. He fixed the one unit and showed us exactly what was wrong with it - didn't just tell us - he showed us. Then, he used the coupon we purchased to service the second unit and to save us another service call! That was above and beyond any customer service I know of. We now have our HVAC company and technician for life! From the moment we picked up the phone to the minute we closed the door - it has been A+ customer service! I cannot recommend a company more!!!

The service led to the purchase of a new HVAC system. I paid for (2) 5-point, or something point inspection and service for my ACs, and was told my large AC was in bad shape. We purchased a new HVAC system, too bad we spent money on the inspection / service. The Technician that came out for he service was very polite and knowledgeable. He offered suggestions to deal with the AC's lack of efficiency, one of which was a new system. Eric came out to tell us about HVAC stuff, he was down to earth and easy to talk with. He was clear as to the cost and service, something I like. Even days after our meeting, when I had questions on how to finance this rather large cost, he was reassuring, patient, very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Rudy and Steve did the bulk of the work; well, it was mostly Rudy. The whole HVAC system was done within a couple of days, and that included the replacement of our water heater with a tank-less model. Steve was nice and polite. He took care of business and was very professional. Rudy was great! This is the summer time for us and I know it was hot in our attic. Never a complaint, always mindful of our home and furnishing, he explained what he was doing in an easy to understand way. Rudy always cleaned up at the end of the day, was extremely respectful and it was truly a pleasure to get to know him. It is because of Rudy we are looking at other services MH&C offer. MH&C called about a week later to see how the system was running, and when I described some minor issues they were out the next day to correct them. I'm not a person who gives his business or loyalty easily, but MH&C has a loyal customer in me for life. arg

The team came out and did a complete inspection and analysis of our home to make sure it could be done with a single unit. They gave us detailed diagrams of our home, and how the various zones would be set up. We helped define the zones based on how we use our home. They also had gone over various models and pricing. We actually had this analysis done in 2014 but held off on doing the work. This year we realized we couldn't put it off longer. Eric had his team come back out and re-verified all of their data. Eric also offered to honor some discounts from Trane that had expired, which we really appreciated. The installation took 3 days as they said it would and they even brought out portable coolers for us to use during that time because the heat had just hit hard. The installation went very smoothly. A few days after the installation we got some of that rare California rain and it started raining in our office. Our immediate thought was that the installation crew damaged something in our attic space. Called Magnolia and they were at our house in just a couple hours. As it turned out it was a roof leak unrelated to the installation but we were extremely happy with how responsive Eric and his team was. The next week we had another "rain" incident in our master bath and I almost hesitated to call but Eric had his folks out there quickly again without hesitation. This time it was their issue and they quickly fixed the problem. We are very pleased with Magnolia and the work they did. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

I've used this provider a few times for yearly tune ups and inspections and I've had good experiences with them each time. I would absolutely recommend them to others

The technician called ahead, arrived on time, and was very professional. He completed a full inspection, including taking apart electrical components, washing down the coils, replacing the filter, and inspecting the duct work.

By description offered above, it's apparent the service offering is not suited for similar aged installations that are similarly under-maintained. So largely it was an advice/optionion

Professional service Jeremy came out and diagnosed the problem quickly and was able to find a replacement fan motor quickly and installed same day .

It went great--on time, fast service. The fans perform very well and keep my house noticeably cooler.

Jeremy not only was amazingly thorough in checking our HVAC system, he cleaned the filters for us. We were planning to have to purchase a new thermostat to give us some features we were missing. Jeremy worked with the front office and determined that our existing thermostat in fact had the features we were missing. He was able to reprogram the unit and saved us from having to unnecessarily purchase an upgrade. He also apologized for not realizing that during our last service. We also mentioned a concern about the auxiliary drain line from the AC dripping again when we thought it had been addressed when we had the new system put in. He again worked with the front office and they determined the we had a poor design of both drain lines and came to the decision that installation of an additional pump would solve the problem. Again Magnolia stepped up and accepted responsibility for not recognizing the design flaw when they put the new system. We find this company to be an A+ stand up company. Their personnel are all very professional, especially Jeremy and Becky, and they stand behind their work.

He was very good at explaining all the things he was looking for and addressed all our questions. gave us feedback on what we could do to help get more from our unit. He emailed all his finding/concerns and tips so we had them to look at and reference back to. This was a very good experience. We felt very empowered after he left on what to do to keep our unit running.

I the name of the part replaced on my AC, but I found it online for much cheaper then what they charge for the part, and the labor charges seemed excessive. I called and they said they charge the National rate for that repair. The repairman was professional and did a great job. I have used them a couple other times for AC maintenance service and they were great. I would use them again.

$99.00 to come out, but 50.00 cause I'm Angie member...., ten minutes after arrival Jeremy told me possible refrigeration leak, $250.00 to recharge, $200.00 to $300.00 for replacing refrigeration, but a suggestion to have a leak test for $500.00. And offered to fix any leaks found for $800.00 plus. Ten minutes and his phone call later Jeremy gave me the good news that the recharge was not possible and I needed new compressor, or even better news how about anew unit !! And right que we're talking estimates for three options; between $7500.00 to $11,000.00..., and they have financing. I know why Jeremy's white shirt was so clean, he was a salesman. $250.00 afterwards, I am looking for a second option. Even if I find out my 8 year old unit need to be replaced I do NOT recommend this company to a Senior who can fall pray to these bait and switch tactics under the guise of repair.

I called Magnolia Heating & Cooling because my air conditioner had stopped cooling the house but the fan was working. They are currently rated #1 on Angie's List. They run a 22 point diagnostic special for $55 but agreed to give me the full 37 point diagnostic for the same price. The van that showed up was a moving advertisement for solar energy and also said free estimates on it. The technician Jeremy M.showed up on time and proceeded to do the diagnostic. Once he saw the system was not cooling he told me that the diagnostic I paid for could not be done but he performed a few tests to verify a few things and called that the diagnostic. I refused to pay for what he did since his truck said free estimates and the diagnostic was not done. In addition, he quoted me a 13 seer Goodman unit for $8,200 which included also changing the furnace and all other attached units. I told him I could not afford that. After refusing to pay him he left and I got a call from his manager at the company telling me that I have to pay the $55 because he came out and did the few tests which they called a diagnostic. I told him that his truck said free estimates and he said that is only free estimates to get a new unit - I always thought free estimates meant to tell me how much to fix my system? I was also told by the manager that if I pay the $55 that he would do his best to find a way to cut down on the cost of a new unit. So Jeremy came back and I paid the $55 and that was the last I ever heard from Magnolia. Subsequently, I contacted the #2 company on Angie's List and they installed a 14 seer Goodman unit including a new furnace and a completely new system for $5,200. They were very knowledgeable, did a great job the next day, and the owner of the company is a really nice guy. Let's see here - do I pay $8,200 for a 13 seer Goodman or $5,200 for a 14 seer Goodman with everything else the same - you can decide. What is meant by a free estimate? There were other things told to me by the technician from Magnolia that I found out were wrong after the second company looked at my system but I think I said enough. I also told Jeremy's manager that I would be writing this review and he said he likes when people write reviews on Angie's List. Why Magnolia is rated #1 is something I will never understand.

Went into attic and checked out unit there. Checked, cleaned unit outside. Gave me a complete print out of his findings, recommendations. Very pleasant and timely visit.

EXCELLENT!! This is the second time that this company has come to my house. The first time was for air condition inspection. This time it was the service person that was sent the first time and I really liked the way the appointment went. John, is very professional and has a good sense of humor. He is professional and knowledgeable. He went through each breaker to find out where it was connect in spite that there appeared to be some labeling on the panel left many years ago. John labeled each breaker with a readable label and explained each one to me. He also showed me the light, plug, outlet that was assigned to each breaker.

I ended up signing up for the annual service since it was going to save me $ for some additional work that needed to be done on my water heater. The people were nice and explained details and answered questions I had. They asked me a lot of questions as well as to what i wanted. All was fixed as I wanted in the end.

To insure trouble free operation of your air conditioning system we are making the following recommendations. Surge protectors will prolong the life of your capacitors, and protect the electrical components: fan motor, contactor, compressor. $248.00 to install each. The right-hand service disconnect is bypassed, and unit can not be killed by removing the disconnect handle. This is dangerous and is a code violation. $468.00 to replace. Very pleased with the results. Since this is a new house I am pursuing the comment with the builder.

I even called them before hand to ask them if they could service my area and they assured me that they do. However, after I purchased the deal they informed me that they do not service my area and I have to go through the process of contacting Angie's list to get the resolved. I am very dissatisfied.
