Excellent.! The installer was very professional at explaining the steps involved in the process. He was courteous and very polite. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The installer arrived on time (even a tad early - yay) and explained the procedure. The whole thing took less than 2 hours and was done professionally and efficiently. I would definitely use them again.

The installer showed up almost at the end of the window and told me he couldn't install because there was only one installer and this was a two person job. He then asked to see the installation and give me a written estimate. The estimate he gave me was $1000. higher than the estimate I was given over the phone. I explained that was not even close to what I had been quoted over the phone and told the installer I would more than likely have to cancel the job - which I did. After that experience I signed up with Angie's List so I can find service providers I can trust.

It was very easy to discuss my needs with Jake and get the delivery/installation scheduled for an 11-5 timeslot the next day. At 11:30 Tuesday, Leka S. called to let me know he'd arrive in about 30 minutes. He arrived on time and explained very clearly what the process would be, and answered all my questions. He was very polite, hard-working, and took great care to ensure that there was no dirt or debris introduced or left around throughout the process. After installation, he explained what he did, and how the tank works (pilot light, temp setting, etc). He then walked me through the final paperwork and allowed me time to read through it all and again cheerfully provided clear answers to any questions. He also went over what the next steps in the permit process would be. All done in under 3 hours. No stress, no surprises... very well done!

This group is extremely professional, courteous, helpful and timely. They called back right away, came out, did the installation without a hitch and address every question we had (and my husband is an engineer so there were a few!). I would highly recommend them, 5 stars from us!

We had an old water heater that was leaking. I called Fast Water Heater and explained the situation. They quote a new heater providing the best configuration for my needs and referred a Water repair company for the demage the leakege created. We had to have the water heater removed, water repair had to fix the demage and we installed the heater back. Carlos, the guy who did the work was really amazing, very knowledgeable guy. Not only he removed and installed the new heater in fast timely manner but he also left everything super clean. He suggested us to replace a valve and showed to us why it was not working properly. I will definetelly use them again if needed. We also used the Angie's list coupon towards the payment

The installer was very nice and helpful, and the new water heater is working fine so far. But this was not an "A" job. He allowed water to run on the ground right by my mobilehome rather than having it all go onto the driveway, so it went under the house, causing a moldy smell to come up into my home for days after, and he used bolts for the earthquake bracing that were so long that they protruded through the inside wall of my bathroom. I'm also concerned that the flexible piping he installed to connect the water heater to my indoor plumbing was much shorter than the high-quality piping that I had used in my older water heater. I'm concerned that it will wear out sooner than what I had. I explained to him that that piping had been installed about a year before and was in excellent shape, but he said he had to use the company pipe in order to warranty the heater. That's understandable, so I asked him to please leave the existing piping for me. When I went back out to pay him, my piping was not there -- he'd put it in his van. He did return it to me when I again asked for it (without explanation for why he'd taken it), but I was not impressed that the fact that he was about to leave with it when I'd plainly indicated that I wanted to keep it. I had to check the "yes" box in answering the question whether I'd use this provider in the future because if anything goes wrong while the heater is under warranty, I'll need to call them again. But I'm not sure I'd choose this company again if I had it to do over. Still, so far so good, I guess.

This was an $899 big deal purchase. It went well. They came on time and did the install as expected. I have no complaints about it. They did the install a couple of weeks after the purchase. They were very cordial and respectful.

It turned out fine. It turned out to be much more expensive than, there were a lot of things that he said needed to be included that were not included in that deal. So, it turned out to be quite a bit more expensive than the complete install of the deal. He was a good worker and he did quite well but the offer was not the same price.

Joseph from the Fast Water Heater Company came to perform the job of replacing the leaking water heater tank. Joseph was very professional, punctual, and performed an excellent job in installing the new water heater and removing the old one. The appointment window was from 9am to 2pm, but Joseph called one hour in advance to let me know his approximate arrival time. He was punctual which was very much appreciated because I didn't need to waste 5 hours of waiting. Joseph even helped to quickly look at my leaking sink in my bathroom and gave an advice. He did it as a courtesy to me. I would definitely use Fast Water Heater Company for any future service and would definitely recommend Angie's List to my friends. Angie's List saved me $500. Overall it was a pleasant experience. The installation was quick, the installers courteous and knowledgeable, and the equipment quality. Would use them again.

The installation went very well. The scheduler called and sent an estimator out in July and then we went to get another quote (knowing we were going to use Fast Water Heater for the removal and installation of the heater as we bought it from them - this was to get a quote on additional work including piping, venting. Fast Water Heater was a better deal in the end so we went with them for the whole project. Our installer Rey was amazing. Professional. Checked in with me along the way. Asked questions when he wanted to confirm something (never made any assumptions). I would definitely user Fast water heater again.

I was able to make an appointment for the next day to have the heater replaced. On that call I was informed that the price did not include the cost of the permit required by the city of SF, and that this would cost me an additional approx. $188, but that they would secure the permit for me. That seemed reasonable, and I said okay. Then the contractor arrived at the very end of the five hour window of time they provided, and presented me with a form to sign before they would do the pre-paid work, stating that (1) they would NOT be getting a permit, and that the work would be performed by an UNLICENSED contractor. I come to Angie's List to find high quality providers, and because I needed to restore hot water to a tenant quickly I was over a barrel. I had pre-paid for an Angie's List deal, from a supposedly high quality provider, but had no choice but accept an unlicensed worker and non-compliance with city codes. In fact, the installer told me that when they make calls in response to Angie's List deals, the installer is told to just "quickly slam it in, and leave." I had to persuade the installer to strap the heater in the same manner as the adjacent heater, installed last year by Home Depot, with a permit. (albeit at greater expense.) Next time I will ignore Angie's List, go to Home Depot, and have the job done by someone I know I can trust. That said, in the end the work seems (to my untrained eyes anyway) to be of adequate quality.

The relationship got off to a very rocky start. The day they were supposed to arrive for the installation of the original hot water heater I called four times to determine when they would arrive as well as get more information on the tank. The first three times I was told to be patient and that the person would arrive within my time window which was in itself far too wide (4 hours). 15 minutes before they were to arrive I called again to find out that there was no one coming as the person assigned to the job was not scheduled to work that day! When I was rightfully upset, the original person I talked to had nothing to offer but a grudging apology. And, when I asked to speak to a manager, apparently there was only one manager and she was "in a meeting" and could not take the call. At this point I was prepared to call the whole thing off. The reason I went with Angie's List was to minimize the prospect of being ripped off or finding myself with bad service and here I had just spent half a day waiting for someone that the company told me repeatedly was going to show up only to tell me at the END of this FOUR HOUR WINDOW that that person was not even at work AT ALL the whole day. They had three opportunities to let me know that this appointment needed to be rescheduled and they blew it. But then, the manager actually did call me in the middle of my first review and I decided to give them a second chance. The technician did come the second time. He was able to help problem solve a very difficult installation (sitting in a small closet that required surgery to get it out and change of regulations in the 20 years since the last one was installed). The unit that I ended up purchasing was superior to the one I originally purchased and it was installed in a timely manner and it is performing well. A final note, it has taken two months and I have not received the paperwork for a warranty or the paperwork for the permit. I called two weeks ago and someone from Fast called last week to tell me the paperwork is in the mail. The inspector from the city is coming on Tuesday for the final inspection. I don't know if he needs this paperwork or if he has a copy that has been filed with the city. We shall see this Tuesday.

Fast, professional and responsive. I live in an old building where the water heater was in an awkward space. It was really great having Rob Jacobs as my tech. He was familiar with my neighborhood and easily knew how to navigate the cramped space. He walked me through the issues and was able to quickly find a suitable replacement and have hot water running in no time. I also love how punctual he was. Having techs call 30min before arrival was great.

They came in did what they said they were going to do and was very responsive and immediatly installed new heater.

The installer was on time, did the work in a timely manner, and cleaned up when he was done. He knew what he was doing and i would hire them again.

The installation part went great and smooth. No complaints. I also ask for the permit. The technician, Salt, has done everything he can with what he knows at the time. However, after the inspection, additional works need to be done to get it up to code so it failed. I called to let them know and tried to schedule someone to fix the issues since 9/1/2015. They told me I will get a call back within 5 days. I called again on 9/8, 9/10 (x2) and 9/11. I left a message with Justin who is responsible for all the failed inspection. During those calls, they gave me Justin's direct number. Yes, I tried that number but it turn out to be a marketing company for some cruise or some traveling agency company. The number is 866-673-7117. I do not understand why they are doing this to me. it is humiliating. I am running out of patience. It is very frustrating. Every time I called, I am told Justin will call me back. You can do your math how many days it has been now, I still haven't got a call back. so BE AWARE of doing things right at the first time, because to get them come out to fix is IMPOSSIBLE. This tells us something. Either they treat the follow-up clients horribly or they are too busy with the failed inspections. You figure! Updated: 10/25/2015. Provider contacted me on the same day the review went out. Finally got someone to come out and fixed what is needed. Appreciated the quick turnaround!

Water heater stopped working on Sunday evening. We had six adults and 2 kids in the house and we were not looking forward to cold showers! I drained the water heater and took pictures of my existing water heater before going to bed. I predicted this would accelerate the installation process. I went on Angie's list looked at the "Big Deals" for a water heater replacement. I had some questions about the fine print so I called Fast Water Heater. I was able to give them the make and model of the existing water heater so they could find a match. They were able to confirm that the "Big Deal" terms would be honored for my paritcular situation. I ordered the "Big Deal" from Angie's List and then scheduled installation around 1 PM. I went home for lunch and was able to make sure the installation went smoothly. The only additional charge that was discussed that was not part of the "Big Deal" price was a permit. Service was prompt and given the circumstances price was fair.

They did a great job

Water heater replacement went fine. The installer charged me $45 to add a pan. I would discuss pan option ahead next time. There was some confusion about whether or not we needed a city inspection. The agent on the phone said that it is required. However, the installer said that it is optional, he didn't insist. The installer said city inspection would add two additional charges: additional work around the heater to make the installation pass the inspection PLUS city inspection fees. I don't remember how much he quoted.

Found out my water heater was leaking on Thursday night, by mid-day Friday I had a new water heater installed and working perfectly. The tech that came out was great to work with and the communication from the company is very good.

Our very old water heater burst and leaked all over our garage floor. I called a few plumbers that we had used in the past, but one would not even give a ball park estimate, and the other quoted over $2000. I looked on Angie's list and read the reviews for this company, and called. I spoke to Marc, who answered all of my questions, discussed the appointment process, gave a ball park quote, and advised me how to use the discount water heater coupon on Angie's List. He made me an appointment for the next AM. I got a call from Trevor at 8 the next morning, to confirm my address. Trevor arrived in 30 minutes, and immediately assessed the situation. Because our heater was so old, we needed many changes to bring it up to code. Trevor discussed our options, and gave us an itemized estimate on the spot. He then went to work and completed the job in two and one half hours. We can't say enough about Trevor. He was so knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and professional. When he was finished, he walked us through the City Permit process, pointed out all the changes and safety features,and showed us how to re-start the pilot light, if needed in the future. He also made an adjustment on our bill after he realized that a valve that he thought would have to be changed, was actually OK. Great Company and excellent customer service. The final amount includes the City Permit.
