Fast Water Heater Company

I got a phone call from a family member when I was out of town, stating there was water on the ground and the water heater was leaking. Since it was a weekend and I did not know how serious it was, I decided to contact Fast Water Heater. I already knew there would be issues, because my leaking water heater was installed before I moved in. Fast Water Heater had the job completed by that Monday. I'm very pleased.

They were able to come over the day after I called. They could have come over the day I called but it was not a convenient time for me. The workman came on time and was very professional.

I used the $849 water heater special that said you could have a 40 gal water heater for that price. The price was good (even though the water heater that came was actually 38 gallons). They were careful about me knowing that there may be additional services required (to bring the thing up to code) and that would be charged extra. They showed up as scheduled and the installer was very professional and did a good job. The total cost went over $1100 for things like a new shut off valve, grounding all the pipes together, etc.Overall, I'm pleased, got a decent water heater at a decent price and it was installed properly. I'd recommend you at least having a look at their offerings.

I purchased the $799 water heater installation deal from Angie's List and quickly received an email from Brett who identified himself as my scheduling contact at Fast. I wanted to wait a few weeks to have it installed. When I called Brett for installation, he told me about a new energy efficient water heater that was available for the same price (after the $200 PGE rebate). Brett was able to answer all my questions, and I was able to set up an installation appointment for the timeframe and date I wanted. The installer (Leka) was due between 3 and 5. He called at 4:15 telling me he was stuck in traffic and asked if it would be OK if he arrived in 30-45 minutes. I said yes; and he was here in about 15 minutes. He explained everything he was going to do in very simple terms, asking me if I had any questions. He didn't try to upsell me to any unnecessary services. He installed the water heater in about 2 hours (equaling his original estimate), was very courteous, worked very clean and provided clear instructions for use. I feel like I got a great deal, from a company with great customer service. I highly recommend them.

Tenants called to advise the water heater was leaking. Luckily there was a special on Angie's List. Fast Water Heater contacted the tenant and got out the next day. The water heater was about 20 years old which meant a lot of the "CODES" have changed. Additionally the box the heater was on and the plywood behind it was wet. They recommended a "remediation" company that they work in tandem with so I authorized them to come out for an estimate. This was the only "crazy" part of the entire transaction. The Remediation technician told me that the box was acceptable but there were some wet studs. He would have to put a dehumidifier on it and fans and some antimicrobial spray to the tune of $950!!!! I knew he was insane at that point and decided not to use his services. My handyman came out and built a new box (the old one was totally rotted and I could tell that from the photos) and replaced plywood, sheetrock, and dried out the area for $400. Fast Water Heater was able to come back two days later to replace the water heater. There was an additional $8XX in work that was required to being the unit up to code, etc. This would have been required with any reputable company (permit was obtained). They did a great job coordinating with the tenant and with me. Long distance repairs are rarely smooth, but they did the best that the could and I appreciated it. So did the tenant!

Called to offer installation any day I wanted including weekend at no extra charge. Called again to confirm and verify details of included parts and what would be extra if desired. Installer called at beginning of advised installation window to let me know exactly when he would arrive. He gave me all relevant documents to review. He then advised he would need to add a stand for another $100+ fee because the new heater element would be required to clear the water pipe transiting the heater alcove and that the old gas valve was no longer up to code in case of building inspection although it was still perfectly functional, so any upgrade would be up to me. Because he needed to cut the metal stand to fit, the installation took about a half hour longer than the projected 2 hours. He cleaned up neatly and left copies of all documents I signed when he took my check for the stand since I had prepaid the rest. He was pleasant and professional throughout as were the gentlemen on the phone. I would certainly call Fast again as needed.

straightfoward replacement

Fast Water Heater Co was very good, set up the appointment right away. The service person showed up on time and looked over my water heater, called in to see if it was still covered, but it was not. Checked everything out and said I did not need a new water heater. He did provide me with an estimate to replace the unit, which I liked, so that I will have an idea of the cost in the future. Will call them when I do need a new unit.

First I had a little trouble getting ahold of them but once I did they were more than professional. They were able to discuss our different options over the phone and give approximate pricing. They also told me about a rebate from PGand E that I could take immediately and they would handle the paperwork! We set an appointment for 10-12 the following day. They called the morning of the appointment and asked if they could come early, we said come on down! They arrived as promised and began work immediately. They had brought two different water heaters just in case the one with the rebate would not work in our situation. He removed the water heater, installed the new one and was on his way. The price was as quoted. It was fast, affordable, and professional. I would definitely use them again but hope I won't need to for several years.

it went well. The person was late getting there (appointment 9:00 A.M). ( due to a flat tire?) but he was willing to wait for us to comeback from an appointment at 10:00 A.M. purchased $799.00 deal from Angie's list and spend extra (expected) ~$50.00 for parts. Over all it was well worth it.

It worked out fine, and they did what I expected. I was recommended to them from Home Depot. They met my expectations, and it was reasonable. They were pleasant and on time.

We upgraded, and the technician didn't know what he was doing. We almost took legal action. We had issues right away with the unit. Fast Water Heater finally did step up and replace the water heater, but it took almost 2 years. It wasn't a pleasant experience until we finally got it resolved. There was a lot of back and forth that took a long time.

They had really good follow up, they came and fixed the situation

I thought that there price was high. The quote came back timely, but I am just not ready to have the job done. They responded timely, and were out there within a day.

The system is working great. I thought the installer was really awesome, I like him a lot. The cost was a lot more than we thought but it turned out our home is older and new permits and coding had to be taken care of as well. He was informative during the work.

The service turned out great. They did a good job. The guy was really personable and the guy did the work quickly as it has happened around Christmas time.

e has been having increasingly noisy popping sounds coming from our 2.5 year old Whirlpool 50 Gal water heater over the last month or so. Since we have a reverse osmosis water purification system that provides the water supply for entire house, and the water heater came with a 12 year tank warranty, we called the manufacturer to see what they suggested. They said that it was unlikely the tank was failing but the 1st step should be a complete flush of the tank. Hopping on our favorite source for companies and contractors (Angie's) we saw Fast Water Heater Company's two Big Deal Specials "Only $59 for Annual Water Heater Maintenance!" and "$50 for $100 Worth of Service!". After checking the reviews, we decided to give Fast a call for their opinion on the water heater's noises and they agreed with the manufacturer. We identified ourselves as Angie's List members and mentioned we had seen the Big Deal Specials. They asked if we would like them to set up an appointment then and there even before we had made a purchase of the Big Deals. They said there was no need and that they would honor the deals regardless for us - that was a pleasantly surprising 1st. They set up an appointment to have their technician, Tevita Saluni, to come out a day and 1/2 later. He arrived on time and was very professional and courteous. He confirmed that the flush and maintenance would be $59. Tevita explained every step of the process and recommended that we should consider replacing the original flush-drain valve as noted above and told us that it would cost $99 to do that. We asked him to first check out the water heater and complete the flush to determine whether the water hear was undamaged other than needing the flush before making that call. He showed us the sediment - mostly calcium - that had built up inside the tank even with out purified water supply as if came out. Once it was determined that the tank was indeed ok, I asked him if FAST would apply the "$50 for $100 Worth of Service!" deal towards a new flush-drain valve. He was unsure because of the discount already applied for the "Only $59 for Annual Water Heater Maintenance!" - which he said usually ran $139 but he was willing to call the office and ask. After speaking with his bosses he said they would honor that too even though we had not yet officially bought it on the Angie's web page!!! Upon completion of the valve replacement he walked us through the refilling and restart procedures for the water heater and waited for it to finish. *** FAST Water Heaters and Tevita Saluni are definitely customer oriented. ***

The work was fine. We have not had any problems. They completed the work in a timely manner. The only disappointing thing is that they didn't get in touch with us to offer the choice of a better grade water heater. Everything has been fine.

The installation went pretty well. He was friendly and got the job done. He arrived on early and finished in the time frame he said they would. It was a little pricy, but not too bad and they reduced some of the cost. He had estimated at a cost higher than what was needed during the execution of the work.. I was unsure of his solution of the overflow going to the drain with how it was mounted that he took an expedient way. It could have been designed better by the installer. I have not yet seen the permit that I have paid for and I am still waiting on them to contact me.

It turned out fine. They came out the same day. The guy who came out was really nice. He came out on time and completed the work. I ordered one size of a water heater and it wouldn't actually fit in the cabinet I had for it. He had the correct fit of one on the truck and was able to install it without any delay.

They did a good job. The actual installation was done well. It passed the inspection with no problems. Because we live in a condinimunium, the logistical difficulity was that we had to have a 24 hour notice posted that water was going to be shut off. The installer didn't make during the time frame that we had posted. It took them three tries. The company was apologetic about that and discounted the final cost for the hassle of rescheduling.

It turned out pretty well. I was able to obtain additional information in the short time frame I had to compare their prices to others and found that they were competitive. They did try to push an up-sell just a little bit and called for a lot of follow up on it. They were out the next day and got the work done quickly. They cleaned up after themselves. They even brought additional water heaters in case the original unit did not fit.

Very professional Job. Estimator showed up on time and really knew Saramento County Code requirements well. Price was competitive, though not the lowest bid, but I felt comfortable Fast Water Hewater knew what they were doing. They did. Installers showed up on time and completed the job in a couple of hours. Highly recommended.
