I purchased the deal, and they told me it would be another $1000 for what I needed to be done. Was told because I was in a mobile home he had to have it meet the standards.

On time, courteous, professional, quick. Very happy.

The technician T. Saluni was prompt and reviewed everything with me before the work began (including the full cost). His manner was very professional and the result appears very thorough and functional. It is beautiful! My only disappointment was when I found out that the warranty on the water tank is only for 6 years. My last tank was in there since 1989! Crazy! I wish that I had been informed of this over the phone by Ryan on my initial call for service.

Water heater, 11.5 years old, was producing only cold water; so, after some investigation, we thought we needed new heater. Faster Water Heater Company came out on Sunday morning within the time span promised. After looking at heater, repairman said he thought heater could be repaired. The thermal couple was burned out. He asked did we want to try repair. We did; so the part was replaced; the pilot light ignited, and we soon had hot water again. Thank you, Julian and Faster Water Heater Company.

When the hot water heater blows, it's an immediate emergency. The fixed cost of the Angie's list big deal was helpful, although our particular project did require about $150 in extras not included in the big deal, so I do wonder how often the big deal price is actually what the end customer pays for the work that is done. "T" who visited our home did a great job. He was very professional and knowledgeable and clearly explained a few adjustments and additional work that needed to be done. My only real complaint is that the first time he came out to the house, we had to reschedule because I live in downtown San Francisco and he could not find parking and needed to come with a second driver to move the van. This left us inconveniently without hot water for an additional 24 hours. I felt like the company should have been able to anticipate this being a problem based on my address.

My only complaint about the job was the company setup an install time and day and failed to notify me that they couldn't make the appointment. The installer had a problem on a job earlier in the day and failed to notify me that he had to reschedule for the next day. This resulted in me losing time at work and wasting my time when a phone call would have communicated the problem. I finally had to call the company to find out why they hadn't kept the appointment and had to reschedule and take another afternoon off work.

The work was done efficiently and quickly.

The installation went very well. The installer was prompt and courteous. He gave a clear explanation of the work before the installation. The advertised price was $849 with the coupon, but with all of the add-on's the cost was approximately $1200 for a 50-gallon tank with 10-yeart warranty. The overall price was more than I bargained for, but I am delighted to have hot water again!

The workers showed up, but after examining the layout (the building is quite old and has not been updated much over the years) decided that they could not install the water heater as outlined in the deal in a way that would be up to code. Instead they suggested we purchase a water heater from them separately (which we did) and have it installed by a plumbing company that could make the necessary modifications so that it would pass inspection. Even though they couldn't complete the job we originally hired them for, the people we dealt with from Fast were very helpful in suggesting other ways to handle the situation.

We were only getting cold water. Pilot light would not light. Bought the Angie's List Deal late Saturday night because we were sure we needed a new water heater. Called Fast Water Heater this morning (Sunday). They already had deal from Angie's. Made an appointment for 9-11 a.m. Jake explained company's procedure. Everything was very clear. Julian arrived a little after 10 a.m. He confirmed with us that the heater was not leaking as he did not see water. We told him the pilot would not light and that the heater was 11 years old; so, it was probably time for a new one. He checked the heater out, determined that the heat sensor was bad. Asked us if we wanted to replace it as he felt the heater was still good. Of course, we said replace the sensor. After the sensor was replaced, Julian lit the pilot, turned the heater on, and now we're back in business. So, we did not use Angie's List Deal. Thank you Julian for your smarts and honesty. Thank you Fast Water Heater. You're the best.

I began with a few doubts, simply because I had never used an Angie's List deal before. But, from my point of view, this turned out to be an exceptionally happy experience. It began the day before installation with a phone call to the Company to find out details, potential complications, etc. I talked with Ryan, who was extremely professional and responsive. He walked me through the cost and possible add-ons (ben repair, pipe difficulties, and so on), scheduled the installation for the next day (today, Friday June 27), and then sent me back to Angie's List to purchase the special $849.00 deal. The two installers, George B and Bo (a trainee) arrived not just on time but in fact early. George proved to be extraordinarily impressive (Bo also worked well in his backup role), explaining everything about the installation in specific, knowledgeable detail, answering all of my many questions, and offering solid, informed advice about maintenance and other relevant issues. He was both professional and, at the same time, friendly and responsive from start to finish. After giving me a couple of installation options, he and Bo then completed the entire job iin not much more than an hour. The two did neat, good looking work and they left my utility room cleaner than it had been when they arrived. Our hot water is back, and the new system works perfectly. Bravo! In Summary: Great deal, great work. Total time: under 2 hours. Total Cost: $849.00.

Fast Water Heater Company could not install the water heater due to corrosion with the galvanized water pipes. We needed to re-pipe the house with another plumber who then installed a tank less water heater.

I spoke with a rep (Gus) from Fast Water Heater and explained that as my current water heater was still working well (I had only considered replacing it due to age) and that I would not be back in CA til late July, I was thinking about cancelling this order and buying a new one later. (I have maintained my almost 20 year old water heater by draining it annually, etc., and it has never shown signs of imminent failure.) I would prefer to have an estimate of work first. He was great. Understood my issue right away and explained they could send someone out to observe space and any potential needs (code) and then I could buy an Angie's List deal at that time if I was comfortable with the estimate. This was exactly what I'd hoped to hear. As far as the service (responsive info) I've received thus far, I am very pleased with this company and intend to use them when needed.

Service was excellent. However, I did not learn that my requested Energy Star water heater could not replace my existing damaged water heater, without major venting modifications, due to the fact that Energy Star water heaters are typically taller than stander-ed water heaters. This information would have been nice to know prior to service arrival.

Not much more to this. They quickly set up to do the work after we bought the Angie's list deal for $849. They charged another $367.45 for the additional work required to meet current code requirements. They filed the papers for the inspection and sent them to us. We still need to schedule the inspection. If there are any issues at that point, the review will be updated.

Perfect. Price quoted in special was legitimate. No "extra services" were discovered.

Fast showed up when scheduled. Tech very courteous and efficient. It was determined they did not have any water heaters that would fit in the closet where the water heater is located.

The service was fine. This was the first time that I used them and my advice to others is that I think it is worth having them come out to take a look at any issues.

Every time I have phoned this provider to work with scheduling for an initial quotation visit I have had to wait on the phone for atleast 25 minutes just for somebody to help me. If this is the lack of responsiveness I get for pre-sale service, I would not like to experience this company's afters-sale service.

Was on time, nice guy, removed old water heater, installed new one, left area clean, showed me differences from old one. Took about 1 1/2 hrs. Works great! Would use again.

Rob called me to let me know he was on his way and arrived on time. He looked over the job site before starting, explained what exactly what they would be doing and were done within 40 minutes. After Rob made sure I understood all the features about the water heater, how to maintain it and what to do for any problems. Rob was very professional, polite and left the site very clean. Definitely a company I would recommend and use in the future.

Company was OK except for further costs.

The service provider came out to my home and informed me that I, in fact, did not need the Big Deal. I thought this was very stand-up and honest of him.

Great. Julian called to see if he could arrive a little early, which was fine. He removed the grungy old water heater, installed new plumbing fixtures and the water heater, and cleaned up the entire area when he was done. The price was exactly as quoted. I would highly recommend this company.

Made initial appointment for 9AM on a Monday, but was called about 11AM to say that they were on the way, so I cancelled. Made another appointment for Monday, 9-11AM and they showed up at Noon. First estimate was for building permit required modifications, which added $300 above the prepaid cost. Then suggested that I forgo the building permit, which would add only $80 to the cost. I agreed and the work was completed in short order. I was surprised to find that the heater was installed on the floor of the laundry room rather than on a platform as the previous heater was. The technician assured me that this was not required because the installation was not on the garage floor but the raised floor of the laundry room. I asked for an estimate on the installation of a hot water circulating pump, and was given a price of $499 installed. I later cancelled the order (not in writing) after finding that I could purchase the pump for about $225, and a local handyman would install it for about $50. I think the problem with this vendor is that they have difficulty covering Santa Cruz County from San Jose. I specifically asked them if my location was a problem, but they seem to have scheduling problems for this area.
