Eric demo'd the old tile, found matching tile, rebuilt the framing around the tub, removed all wood with mold, treated the surrounding areas with bleach to kill any remaining mold, installed weddiboard to provide waterproofing, installed the new tile and matched the existing grout perfectly. He laid down paper wherever he was going to be walking and thoroughly cleaned up after himself. He's a very interesting dude to chat with as well, and takes great pride in his work. I am a nitpicker about competence, and Eric is about as competent as they come. I wouldn't hesitate to employ his services again. The shower/tub no longer has any leaks, and you cannot discern the new tile work from the pre-existing tile. A perfect match!

He did an outstanding job! It looks as good as new. Eric also fixed a small crack in the floor tile in the guest bathroom and patched some grout at no charge. Along with that, he brought us a sample of grout cleaner and told us where to buy it at the best price.

Let me start out by saying that Eric is an odd duck. He talks loud, and tends to repeat himself. When he came out to give us a quote, he tracked tar into the house from his shoes. He couldn't give us a price, but said he would do the job on an hourly rate of (we thought) $9/hour. But he was willing to do the job that others had refused, so we figured we'd give him a try. He had a creative solution to the job, i.e., inject an epoxy under the tiles using a syringe, and then re-grout. The job was done today, so I am not yet sure if it will work. Eric was kind of messy, and left us some cleanup to do. And he charged us $90/hour, not the $9 we thought he was charging. (It did seem to good to be true, but he never gave us a quote in writing). Nevertheless, if his repair works, I'm happy, and the price was worth it. This job, and this contractor, is difficult to evaluate. We need to have a place in this world for people willing to take a risk, to try a job that may fail, to approach a difficult situation creatively. Eric did that, and I want to acknowledge him for that.

Eric was punctual, professional, and we were very pleased with his work.

He was actually early for the appointment and immediately went to work. Since he charges by the hour he made sure to maximize his time (i.e. letting the liquid deep cleaner sit on the kitchen counter tiles while he moved on to the bathroom, and then coming back later). He was friendly and had lots of advice about preserving and caring for the tiles.

The job took two sessions. Initially the company cleaned the existing grout. On the return visit they re-grouted the areas which required repair.

He was very professional, was on time, did a good job, was neat & his price was extremely competitive. I would highly recommend him!

I got Eric's name off Angie's tile repair category list. We arranged a meeting time. He showed up and we chatted it a spell. He was a walking encyclopedia of tile characteristics. He reviewed the horror show that was my kitchen sink top and suggested different routes we might take. He set about removing the broken and loose tiles and spent a day or two tracking down the right size and color tiles to complete the task. He did some cutting and fitting to make the tiles properly line up along the edge of the sink and ended up with pretty diamond shaped corners. He left me the extra Cinnamon colored grout and some waterproof liquid to spread on the tiles when dry. Ask him to show you his laptop photos of the various bathrooms, kitchens, entryways, etc. he's completed. It'll knock your socks off. If you're unsure of a tile job, Eric is creative and imaginative. He can complete a custom tile job from scratch with a minimum of direction. I recommend him and would hire him again.

Eric knows how to get the job done. He is a problem solver and is willing to share helpful information and suggestions about your job. His work was careful, efficient and well done. His price was fair. He always returned calls quickly during the process and showed up at our home when he said he would. We would call on him again to do ceramic tile work for us.

Eric is a very confident person and assured us that he would be able to eliminate the creaking noise which he did. He returned our call quickly, came over and reassured us that he can solve our problem.

Eric arrived on time as scheduled and took a look at both problems. He spent an hour getting the sink repaired. He was very careful not to crack the existing tile counter and explained everything he was doing in detail. The new sink didn't quit fit right to his liking but he kept trying. In the end we realized it was the unevenness of the Mexican tile counter that was causing it to be imperfect but still workable. He explained how we should grout the sink once the plumber finishes hooking up the plumbing. That's going to save up another visit from Eric as his minimum is one hour and his rate is $70/hour. He likes to repair tile but he also does complete from scratch jobs. The pool tile repair was a piece of cake for him and he finished that in about 15 minutes. He was very nice and returned our phone calls and emails promptly. We'd definitely use him again.

I AM THOROUGHLY PLEASED WITH THIS REPAIR WHICH WAS MORE DIFFICULT DUE TO PROTRUDING PLUMBING PIPES. WHEN THE JOB WAS FINISHED THE 50 YEAR OLD TILE SURROUNDING THE BATH TUB LOOKS NEW AGAIN.
