Called and left a message. No call back. Called again, got the owner, who said he’d be here today. Raced home to meet him and he was a no-show. When I called to see if he was even coming, he acted like he had no idea who I was. Admitted he messed up and said he’d call me right back. He never called back.

Hugo and Hector did an excellent job of mounting my tv and hiding all the cables behind the wall. They explained different setup options (using a switch vs. optical cable) with pros and cons. I was considering purchasing a harmony elite universal remote control but instead I purchased a URC MX-450 from them after I read positive reviews online and comparisons between the remotes. Hugo programmed the remote, then gave my son and I a tutorial on how to use it. I would definitely hire them again!

I'm actually pretty disappointed with Shawn. I have used him twice in the past for different jobs at my old house and he was great. I called him again since we moved and asked him to come by so he could set up my new system. We tried to set up a time for him to come by, even discussed him coming on a Saturday. I waited around and he forgot or got stuck on another job. He texted me after he missed the appointment what I needed and I told him, he never responded... I guess my job was too small for him to do. I can't give him a lower grade because his previous work was great, but this was really disappointing that he never texted back.

Very well. Very professional and mindful of your existing walls and furniture. Ran wires through attic and walls with no drywall damage. Installed Sonos speakers inside and mounted others outside. Installed Big screens on wall with pull out and swivel. Truly amazing to me. Can purchase equipment from them if you desire. Good people and know their stuff.

I called and got an appointment right away. Hugo and his helper arrived on time and went right to work. They were both very pleasant. What I needed was very self explanatory. They moved any breakables and put down work clothes. It took them awhile to mount the TV and run all of the cables into the wall behind the TV and then back out and into the cabinet below. They asked if I wanted an IR remote that would control everything, and would allow me to put all of the equipment in the cabinet and control everything with the cabinet doors closed. It was an additional cost of $335.00 when you included the remote and the IR eye to which all of the equipment had to be connected. After thinking it over, I decided I should spend the money to do everything "right." When they were done everything was clean and looked great. I used the remote to change the volume on the surround sound and everything seemed good. However, within 15 minutes of Hugo's departure, when I used the remote to change between satellite, Apple TV, Amazon, etc. the remote would not work without the cabinet doors open, which rather defeated the purpose of my buying the expensive remote and IR eye. I called and texted Hugo, but he did not respond. I then sent a texted to Shawn, who I believe is the owner, within 30 minutes he was at my house. I showed him my dilemma and he went to work on the problem. It took him about an hour, but when he got me so that I could fully test the remote, everything worked perfectly. Everything still works great and despite what seems like a lot of money, I'm glad that I got it done. I can now adjust the TV to avoid all glare anytime of the day or night. The the workmanship was very professional. The mount and cable covers (2) on the wall look great. (You don't really see them, unless you look.) I would hire them again. (But, I would do a more thorough test of the system this time before letting them go.)

Since I bought my house two years ago, I have had High Definition Audio Video perform multiple jobs. All of the work has been first-rate. The first project was installing a home theater system in my media room and wifi extenders throughout my house. My initial plan for the media room was to install a Bose system that I brought from my former house, but Hugo, the technician, recommended working with ceiling speakers that were already there. The speakers turned out to be good quality, so he set up a complete audio system for that room and then installed the Bose system in my bedroom.. The wifi extenders solved a significant problem with the wifi signal in the house. Subsequent work has included installing a Sonos system in the living room, kitchen and patio; setting up audio/visual equipment in an office, wiring a new master bedroom for home theater, and repairing a line from a driveway gate to my home phone. I've been particularly impressed with how Shawn and Hugo have had the foresight to plan for future work. For example, when Hugo wired the room that will be my master bedroom (it is currently being renovated), he set up the wiires that will control the TV and audiovisual equipment to run to a closet so that no equipment or wires will be visible in the bedroom. He also included extra HDMI and coaxial cables in the wiring so that, if any of the cables in use get damaged or stop working, we will not have to damage walls to replace them. Throughout the process, Shawn and Hugo have made excellent suggestions about the best ways to design and improve my audio-visual equipment. They have consistently offered advice about integrating the system with the changes I've made to the house. They also have been responsive to questions and have come out on short notice to address issues that arose. I am extremely pleased with all of the equipment. Everything works well, the system is integrated, and none of the rooms seem cluttered with wires and home theater components. (The cost of service includes the cost of the Sonos system, an amplifier and subwoofer for the media room, and multiple wifi extenders.)

Shawn and his team at High Definition Audio/Visual were fantastic. He arrived for an estimate the same day I first contacted him. He extensively researched the equipment options that would achieve our goals and explained why they were the best choice. Equipment was purchased and passed through at cost, and there was no charge for all of the research he did. The installation went very smoothly and his team was very friendly and professional. Everything was integrated perfectly into a very clean installation and the job site was left clean each day (it was a two day installation). I have no complaints and cannot recommend him highly enough. We are thrilled.

The installation took an entire day but it was all worth it. The cables were all hidden and routed directly to my receiver. They were very mindful of making sure not too dry wall was cut open. They often checked me on decisions. They did an excellent job and I couldn't be happier.

Hugo and hector were professional and knew what they were doing. I just wanted speakers put in the ceiling and ended up with a whole theater system with a tv. Everything sounds great. We recently had the ceiling fixed with a drywaller and one of the speaker covers warped and won't stay up. I wrote Shawn and he is mailing a new one to replace it. They integrated the sonos system we had and put a speaker in the backyard. I will be using them again to put components out of sight. They even traveled to Orange County.!! I highly recommend these guys!

From the initial visit through completion of work these guys were professional, clean and knowledgeable. Shawn was there throughout the job to ensure everything went smooth. We just moved into our new house and wanted to add 7.1 surround sound in the ceiling as our TV was mounted above a fireplace. I reached out to Shawn and we scheduled a date for him to come and provide an estimate. Shawn visited our home provided various speaker options and discussed the pros and cons of 5.1 and 7.1. We also discussed the option of using a wall plate vs a direct connection into the receiver. After some research, I agreed with Shawn that a direct connection would be best. Shawn was able to provide a quote and schedule installation the following week. His team, Hugo and Hector, were very professional. They spent the day at our home and installed the speakers, ran the wires and calibrated the speakers with my receiver. During the installation, they covered the furniture and made sure everything was clean before they left the job. In addition, his team went through all inputs to make sure sound was working properly with my directv receiver, apple tv and PS3. Overall, it was a great experience and will use Shawn and his team in the future when I install outdoor speakers and upgrade my TV to a larger screen. I shopped around with different vendors and I was glad that I found High Definition Audio & Video.

We used this company before when we first moved into our house. They did a great job then and also for a friend of ours who we referred so might as well stick to what works. Exchanged emails with Shawn regarding pricing and schedule. Everything went smooth. Hugo, Hector, and Angel showed up as promised and they were done within 2 hours. Hugo gave me options for receivers, components, wiring, etc. but never tried to sell me more. I respect that a lot since I HATE the hard sell. Surround sound is perfect now and new TV is being used daily. I will definitely use this company again.

We hired High Def A/V (Shawn) in the past to order and set-up our Sonos (which we love). So, when we wanted a new TV for our family room, we knew that we would hire Shawn to install and upgrade our equipment. Shawn came over to review our current set-up. He suggested that we go from a 55 " TV to a 60". We took his advice and purchased the 60". Shawn scheduled a date and time for the installation. Because our TV delivery was delayed by one day, we had to reschedule. Shawn is very accommodating He two guys arrived on Monday, 8/31 to install. During the effort, we learned that our subwoofer was no longer working. We ordered a new subwoofer. The install took longer than anticipated, but no additional charge was requested. They did an excellent job. When the subwoofer was delivered, Shawn came over and installed it. We had questions concerns about the TV position and an old sound bar that we had. We ended up ordering a new sound bar from Shawn. He had his guys come over to re-adjust the TV from the original install. Shawn is trustworthy, provides an excellent service. His prices are competitive, plus you get his service and warranty on the work they perform. We've recommended High Def A/V to our neighbors as well. They were happy with their results too. We will continue to use High Def A/V for future installations and A/V equipment.

Sean and his team are professional, knowledgable, and friendly. They performed a challenging installation in a short period of time. They smartly were able to house all components of my system into a closet and connect an infra-red universal remote system that tied the whole thing seamlessly together. Additionally, on two subsequent occasions, Sean personally came out to help me troubleshoot and reprogram my remote/system when I added or removed components. It's the personal touch long after (1 year later) the job was completed that sets these guys apart. Sean is very responsive and knowledgable when and if you have an issue with your system. He realizes that strong customer service is an important part of what he does; not just installing and then forgetting about the customer. I highly recommend High Definition for your home AV installation needs. They are a class act!

Shawn and his team did an amazing job. I would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their home entertainment system. I called Shawn with a vague idea of what I wanted to do, which involved getting a nice, big TV mounted on my living room wall, with all of the components to be installed in the living room closet. I had no idea what TV I wanted or what receiver was necessary. About a day after we spoke Shawn sent me an estimate. I compared the prices that he charges for the equipment with the same products on amazon, and he beat amazon on every product. That was enough to convince me. Shawn's team, Hugo and Hector, showed up and installed everything flawlessly. They organized all of the cables and set everything up as I requested them to do. It was perfect. After a week or so I had an issue with the remote control and Shawn sent someone out to fix it immediately, for no charge. I would recommend High Definition Audio Video to anyone that wants a good price on excellent workmanship.

If you want to use this company be sure to ask that the estimate include cables, connectors, boosters, wall plates and wire moldings so you don't get caught by surprise.

Extremely efficient and professional. Shawn came by for an estimate the same day that I first called him and would have started work within the next few days (I actually had to have him wait an extra week to fit it in my schedule). Shawn and his team showed up when they said they would and were finished early. They tested everything to make sure it all worked and then showed me how everything worked. He has also been very responsive when I had follow up questions. When I had a minor problem with the TV (a factory issue), he dealt with the manufacturers call center and resolved the issue. I would highly recommend!!
