High Definition Audio Video

I emailed Shawn to mount my flat screen on the wall using the coupon price. He responded that same day and offered to come out that afternoon. We set the time for the next day and he arrived on time with 2 associates. We discussed my options and decided to have the components placed in the cabinet next to TV. This involved the addition of an outlet in the cabinet and also the guys crawling under the house to pull the wires. All this they did with a great attitude! Shawn said that a universal remote would allow us to use the components without keeping the door open, so I added this. Also, he suggested I purchased a sound bar and subwoofer from him. Although I had not expected to spend that much money on this project, I am really happy with the results. Shawn also hooked up the cable to the box in the room next door. He came back on day 2 to finish the install and explain it all in detail. He was not pushy with his ideas but thorough. I highly recommend them!

Hugo and Hugo arrived promptly (to meet my early morning schedule) and had all of the tools needed to get the job done, including the more unique bracket that I had asked for. As we discussed the project one of the gentlemen let me know of some other options I had regarding placing my components. I was going to put them on a nearby book shelf or get floating shelfs to put under the tv. He let me know that it would be possible to route all of my wires to a back closet and put the components there. In effect, I would have no visible cable box, dvd, xbox, etc - but the controller would function just the same. When he was telling me this it was more of an educational, 'this is what we could do, but certainly don't have to...just wanted you to know.' It genuinely did not feel like a sales pitch and there was no pressure. In the end, we decided to have them provide that work - and after the TV was hung they came back a week later and ran the wires up the wall, through the attic and back into a closet. Everything looks great and we have recevied many compliments on the setup. The tv is very functional with the bracket and you can see NO CABLES.One slight complaint - while the owner did get back to me via email on all of my inquiries, sometimes it took longer than I was hoping (I do realize he is a very busy small business owner, so it was ok)...but he always responded and the workers promptness was impressive.

Perfectly. Shawn and his helper showed up on time and went to work. They put the 70" tv on a mount and made sure it was level and perfect before they left. They were great.

When it was time to set up a date for the work to be done, I requested a Saturday in order for both my husband and I to be present . Shawn was on time, very professional and spent the necessary time with us to complete his work. We were so impressed by the simplicity of the new remote on our upstairs TV, that we bought a second remote for our downstairs TV. PLUS, we didn't know very much about Blu-ray players and had a ton of questions for him that were answered clearly that we decided that we wanted him to install a Blu-ray as well. Shawn knew where to purchase one and came back having bought a well know brand which was ON SALE and installed that as well. He also gave us the receipt for the Blu-ray purchase from Best Buy. Shawn was very patient and thorough and said to call him if we still had any questions. .....and of course we did. Again, his explanation over the phone, led us to resolving a very simple problem. Shawn followed up a week later with a phone call again, wanting to make sure that all was working well, and of course it was. Shawn was a delight to meet and his work was superb. Without any hesitation, I would call him back for more installations in the future. It is now very enjoyable to watch television using only ONE remote. It was indeed a feeling of confidence to have this excellent company "HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO/ VIDEO INC. on Angie's List . We are very happy!

Job went great. The guys came after work and were able to mount the TV and I was very happy that they were able to add move all my equipment to a closet and add an RF remote that allowed everything to be controlled out of site. They did a great clean up afterwards and provided some good ideas for future upgrades and equipment options in my house. I will be using them again.

The two Hugos came by and mounted my tv and did a great job. I initially was worried because they had to drill holes into the area above the fireplace. I don't know what I was expecting because I've never had a tv mounted before. They did a great job! My tv looks amazing over the fireplace. Thanks guys for the great work!

he came on a weekend, when normally i'm sure he rather have the weekend for his family. he came, in a pouring rainstorm, on a saturday and i was up and running in no time. i highly recommend. very nice and professional. i will be using this company when i do my family room system.

Shawn and his assistant Hugo did a fantastic job in mounting the TV and setting up all the wires for my receiver, DVD player and speakers. Moreover, he did not leave any mess and was very meticulous about keeping the floors, walls clean. In fact, the wires are non-existent and the TV that is mounted has a clean, professional look! I would definitely recommend him to a friend or family member! I will definitely call him again for future services.

I had seen the positive reviews on Angies list for High Definition and needed a remote programmed and a receiver in one of my rooms fixed. I called on Friday and asked if it was possible for a Saturday Appointment. Sure enough they said they could be there and they showed up promptly Saturday morning. Shawn showed up with an assistant and I was amazed at how in tune he was with all the electrical workings of the house. He programmed my remote in less than five minutes and then we moved onto the bigger problem which was a multizone receiver. He quickly realized what the problem was, fixed it and even took measures to ensure that they would not happen again. I felt his services went above and beyond and will definitely use him again in the future and I recommend his services to all.

They were quick, neat and professional. The system they installed works like a charm and was installed so much better than had I chosen to do it myself. One caveat: these guys aren't electricianl, so if you need to install a power outlet, you'll still need a guy to do that for you.

I found High Definition on Angie's list and called for an estimate. The owner returned my call and scheduled the appointment. He was great about responding to messages and has since been quick to reply to emails concerning some additional work. Shawn and another worker installed my flat screen TV on a Saturday to accommodate my schedule. Everything went as expected. We discussed some additional work and I was impressed to receive an estimate by email within a few days as promised. Shawn also followed up with a courtesy call to discuss options and details. He has been flexible in accommodating my budget and he has been professional. I would recommend this company.

I contacted Shawn through the Angies List deal. We scheduled an appointment where he came over to evaluate my current system and I told him what I needed fixed and what features I wanted added . He sent over a proposal within a day and was back within a week with his crew. They worked hard and made sure I was pleased with every aspect of the project. Shawn came back a few days later to make some adjustments and completed the job. My home system is now working better than ever. I have referred him to friends and family members, who are also very pleased with the results.

Shawn responded to an email I sent about simply hanging a flat screen on a brick fireplace. He offered to come out and look at it personally, in order to give me a better estimate. He came promptly, and was incredibly nice. He had several suggestions about sound for the new TV. I wasn't sure what I wanted to spend, so i asked for a low-ball price - and a higher price option. He immediately emailed me two different estimates and answered all of my questions. Ultimately I went with the higher priced option as I wanted to do it right. His team came out and spent the whole day working in our family room. Shawn joined them for introductions, then left the guys to work. When a few unexpected issues came up ( the ceiling had beams in weird places so the first in-set speaker wouldn't work) they got Shawn on the phone to discuss, and came up with several options. It took a lot of extra time, but it was resolved. Shawn returned later in the day to help finish things, and repair the first hole in the ceiling that wouldn't fit a speaker. They cleaned up everything, and made sure it was all working. They removed all the boxes and trash from my TV that wasn't even something they brought themselves. It looked great and sounded better. Several days later i had a dvd/sound problem. Shawn returned all of my emails, and answered all my questions ( there were a LOT of remote controls) and even returned personally on his own time to re-test the system and find the problem. These guys were so nice. The best. I will use them again to hang another TV in another room. I would use them again to connect sound etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Couldn't have been easier or better. When we first decided to look into mounting our TV, I checked Angie's List and found HD Audio Video, which had the highest number of positive reviews. I reached out via email with some initial questions and got a prompt response from Shawn. He answered a series of questions over a few emails, then when we decided to use them to mount our TV, Shawn was able to accommodate our earliest availability, which was the following Saturday morning. He even reached out voluntarily to see if we could move the appointment up to an evening earlier that week. When Saturday came, Shawn and Hugo (Quick shout out to Hugo, who Shawn and I jokingly agreed was pretty much the one who did all the work - I'd ask for Hugo by name when we do another project) arrived on time and after a quick survey of the situation, they got to work. Installation went smoothly with one exception, when they discovered some additional horizontal framing in the wall. Shawn pointed it out to me immediately and offered a few alternative suggestions if they were not able to work it out. Rather than take the easy way out, though, Shawn and Hugo attacked the problem, found a way to drill through the additional bracing without requiring larger holes in the wall, and finished the work as planned, all within maybe an hour. They even provided a second HDMI cable, which they routed through the wall for future use, if needed. When all was said and done, they finished cleaning up (Hugo actually cleaned a few times midway through so dust wouldn't get tracked through the rest of the house), ensured everything worked as planned (it did), and we settled the bill (which was just as planned), and that was that. As suspected, the first thing I thought when they were done was "we should have done this a year ago". Shawn and Hugo were polite, prompt, and professional, and I'm very happy with the end result. I will certainly reach out to them again when we need another installation.

I was able to purchase the deal and schedule service for the next day. They showed up right on time. They provided the TV wall mount and HDMI cables. Hi Def Audio installed the mount, snaked the component wires in the wall for a clean look and fully set up the TV ensuring it and th components workd properly. I was pleased with the clean up they did after the job as well. I can highly recommend.

It went well. Contacted Shawn by email, set up a date for him to do service. He arrived performed the service, explained evrything to us, we paid him and he left.

They were very responsive over the phone in setting up a time to come to my place. They arrived at the time scheduled, had asked great questions in advance, and helped my overcome some problems in getting certain video and audio equipment to perform correctly. They were very friendly and knowledgable.

They are the most professional and knowledgable people in their field. I had 2 previous contractors look at my TV at the wires that were hanging behind my TV after it was installed. The previous contractors told me that nothing could be done and nothing was wrong. Sean came in and thought of a solution in 2 minutes. The wires are now gone, its installed correctly, they took the box and hidden it in another room and they were just on top of everything. It looks so much better and they did a wonderful job. It took them less than an hour. I highly recommend them!

Shawn and his team were great. They arrived on time. They asked me where I wanted the TV mounted, how high, etc. They quickly got to work. Shawn asked me if I wanted an additional cable for the Blu Ray Player (we are going to add to the room), and added that HDMI cable for us. He moved the cable outlet so it was hidden behind the TV with the rest of the cords. It's so neat back there, it's putting all of our other TV's to shame. They completely cleaned up after themselves as if they were never there. After the job was completed, Shawn walked me through the mount and all the work his team did hiding the cords, etc. I had purchased the service via Angie's List "Big Deal". It was my first purchase and was truly a great experience. There was additional costs of the hdmi cables and plate covers as to be expected. I would highly recommend High Definition Audio Video and Shawn. He and his team did a great job.
