High Definition Audio Video

I've had a lot of problems with AV companies and equipment in the past. We've wasted a lot of money on complicated set-ups that don't perform as promised, followed by the frustration and endless financial outlays of trying to make it all work. Shawn was my last, best hope, and he really came through for us. I was pessimistic and not very easy to work with, given my history. But Shawn is very easy going and patient. He designed a system that was simple to use but did everything I wanted. He didn't try to sell me the newest high-end trendy equipment. Instead, he proposed equipment with a proven track record that wouldn't bust my budget. That, in itself, was a welcome change from previous contractors! His staff was just as professional and easy to work with. They were very responsive to changes and flexible in their thinking. When they finished the installation, they spent a lot of time teaching me the ins and outs of using the system. And, I'm glad to report, everything works exactly as planned 3 months later. Even my 81 year old mother in-law can work the remotes, and we have music and television working seamlessly throughout the home and yard. I would definitely recommend Shawn and his team to anyone planning a high-end installation - whether it be new, or fixing someone else's sloppy work. A great find!

High Definition Audio Video was great. I initially purchased an Angie's list coupon to have a small TV mounted to my kitchen wall and was immediately impressed by the crew. I went on to meet the owner who is great to get an estimate for my much larger job and High Def. got the bid. Everyone, including the owner is great and the owner is accessible after the work is done to answer questions or stop by to educate and work out kinks. Stand by their work and very nice to work with!

They did a great job on the installation. They found that a speaker that we currently own was not working properly and so they took it back to get it repaired and I have been exchanging emails with them since trying to get my speaker back and have not gotten it back. They keep telling me they are going to give it back to me soon and they have not come yet. They took it with them to their shop. I will not use them again in the future.

Had a bit of a problem getting them out to Orange County from Santa Clarita. Once they did om to the house everything went well. they exchanged their universal remote with the three remotes I was using.They also setup a hidden electronic eye so I could put all my equipment behind cabinets and still use the remote.

I called High Definition Audio Video and scheduled them to come to my place. They came and started the job instantly, these guys don't waste time. Once the job was finished, they showed me how to operate the universal control. I was amazed at how seamlessly everything worked. Very happy with outcome of my setup, definitely going to recommend this company to my friends.

The company was very responsive to my call, setting up the service within a couple of days and keeping me posted on their timeline as promised. I had a flat screen tv with a blue ray entertainment center and apple tv. I had to use multiple remotes with good sound on some and none on others. It had become a nightmare and I was about ready to get rid of the entertainment system, but could not figure out how to turn the sound back on my tv. So, in a last ditch effort, I tried a new av company to try and fix the problem. They came and were able to diagnose my system and problems and offer me a remote to control everything, which they did the detailed programing on. It took a couple of hours and has been well worth it. I now have great sound whether I am listening to my tv cable, dvd player, apple tv and even playing my itunes music on the system. The remote is easy to use and works logically! I am so happy with the results.

Saw the HDTV installation deal via email and purchased it prior to buying television since I already knew the installation cost from the retailer. Purchased the TV then called the vendor to set up appointment. He arrived on time with an assistant and they installed the hardware, ran wiring and attached the television. Then they plugged everything in and made sure all the connections worked properly. Also showed me how the remote controls worked. Left everything nice and tidy. Very happy with the whole experience.

The overall experience was excellent! They were on time, friendly, and knowledgable. When it came to remounting the tv at the new location, they knew exactly where to put it and improved the mount itself. I would recommend Shawn and his team to both family and friends.

They were great! I wanted the swivel rack, so we had to pay extra for that, but they had it ready in their truck just in case we wanted one! The guy was super nice and said that if we ever needed him to come back because stuff didn't work to give a call and they would be back in a jiffy!

They were punctual, professional, and very careful with my home and furnishings. The guys were VERY easy to deal with and went above and beyond what I asked them to do. They take the time to go through a demonstration of the system(s) and answer any questions you may have - and will make themselves available to return to your home if you need a "refresher". I am EXTREMELY pleased with their workmanship and connot recommend them highly enough!!

Initially, I purchased the deal to wall-mount a flat screen TV. The crew came in and did a nice job. They were very professional and made sure to clean up after themselves afterwards. I was happy with their work so a few months later, I asked them to install speakers throughout my house and outside on my deck. Shawn, the owner, and his crew came out and completed the job in 2 days. Shawn was great! He listened to what I wanted and gave suggestions for the best speaker placement. He patiently explained to me how to use the system even though I asked questions over and over again. Shawn even took the time to figure out why my internet kept going out which, as a result, affected the wireless speaker system. (It was the fault of my cable company and how they set up the internet!) After the setup was complete, Shawn did have to come out a couple times to work out a few minor bugs. He even came out on Labor Day which I totally didn't expect (I think I pulled him away from a BBQ party - sorry Shawn!) In any event, he fixed it within a matter of minutes and the speakers have been running great since then. I will definitely use them again. I already told Shawn that I would like them to install a TV when I re-do my master bathroom. He said they can work with the contractor during the construction phase. Can't wait!

clean, efficient....just a little upset that cables had to be exposed

It took a little doing to get it scheduled because he was so busy after all deals were purchased. Once he came out it was basically to install one remote control to use instead of the one I had. No "tune up" of T.V.'s around the house as mentioned were offered and when I asked for the service he said the remote covers what I purchased. He did assist me in programming a remote on another television as I asked. The remote did not function completely or correctly after he left and it took a long time for him to be able to return. He lives too far away to be accepting jobs where I live. He was very nice but it was such a hassle to get the one job done. I feel it is too much to spend for a remote control.

Shawn and his team mounted a couple of flat screen televisions and soundbars and did a fantastic job. They were able to hide all the wiring and were unphased by the fireplace in the wall They were extremely professional throughout the process and clearly took the time to make sure they did the job right. I am extremely satisfied with my decision to call them and will use them again in the future.

He was always prompt, courteous, friendly and efficient. He followed up on his work and was a pleasure to work with. I had initially received an estimate from another highly rated person on Angie's list who I found to be very high pressure and who was much more expensive. I would highly recommend Shawn.

Fantastic! I could not be more satisfied. Shawn quickly returned my initial call and scheduled a convenient time for the install a few days later. Shawn and Hugo showed up at 8:00 Saturday morning, on-time with smiles and ready to work. Shawn offered several options to accomplish what I wanted and explained the difference in time each would involve. They were willing to do things in the most tedious way for a perfect result, but also offered reasonable compromises/solutions which ended up saving me a lot of money. They seemed happy to do things either way, but wanted to make sure I had informed options and I was not wasting my money. Both Shawn and Hugo were very friendly, worked hard and were extremely respectful of my home and possessions. I was never concerned anything was going to be damaged or knocked over. They had a pleasant rapport with each other which was nice after a few recent experiences with movers where the teams did not get along at all. I have an annoying habit of finding several extra mini projects for contractors to accomplish while they're here. They frequently have other projects after mine, and Shawn and Hugo did this day. But they cheerfully accomplished a few other non audio-video mountings and installs, which I really appreciated. They completed the job in a very reasonable amount of time, and it seemed that Shawn rounded down on the final hours charged. I highly recommend High Definition Audio Video!

Overall the experience was top notch! Shawn and his team were on time, worked really hard to get it all done in one day and did it right the first time!! Not only did we have full confidence in their work we had full confidence in the price they gave us b/c we got other estimates but we didn't feel good about the other guys. I'm so glad we went with Shawn. After our cable box got upgraded, they came back to reprogram our universal remote to the new cable box at no charge. I couldn't recommend them enough!!

He came and installed the speakers in my den, kitchen, master bathroom, and bedroom. The televisions didn't work and the sound from some of the speakers just stopped working. He charged me for expensive speakers, which he never installed. I recieved less expensive speakers. After the sound went out I called several times. He would make appointments and never show up. The night of my birthday party he comes at 6:30 pm, unannounced, on a Saturday night. I asked him to leave immediately. I paid him in full, and I had to get someone else to re-do his work. He also made a few appointments to come back out to repair it, but never showed up for any of them. So I called him to ask where he was he said he was home already and was not coming back out. I also paid in full and goi no price adjustments or refunds for the inconvenience and poor work.

Shawn came out and assessed the connection problem I was having. He came back with the necessary components and made the repair.. Overall, it was great! I would definitely use them in the future!

Shawn and his crew were professional, friendly, and neat. The job took about 4 hours, which is what he had estimated. I'm very happy with the result and would enthusiastically recommend him to others.
