High Definition Audio Video

They were great. They came out and did it and the guy was awesome. It was really good. We totally stalled on it, and I don't remember from when I purchased it to when we actually, finally called, but from the day my husband called to when they came out, it was less than a week. There were no extra charges. I remember the price was really good and the guy was really knowledgeable. They helped my husband move the other big TV that was upstairs, downstairs. There were two guys so the three of them moved the TV. I can't remember if he tipped them for helping him do that or what, but they totally helped him move a humongous TV. If we had another TV to do, I would look and see if they had a deal going on, or I would just call them directly and see what their price was. They were good.

Tried setting up meeting. Called the day of scheduled meeting and said he would be late by two hours. Then called before arrival time and said he was lost and wanted to reschedule.

Okay this is something near and dear to my heart, home entertainment setups. We just bought our first house and here was my chance to build out the system that I had always wanted. My wife, although initially peeved by my need for speakers throughout the house, has already changed her tune as there are no messy wires hanging out and she can listed to any music via the simple Sonos app on her iPhone (or iPad, Computer, etc). I initially shopped around and at one point there was a company (I'm sure they are very good), who wanted to charge me 4K for my home internet / wifi network! Their total package came out to 30K! Luckily, prior to that I talked to Shawn and he was able to get me a dead-on quote quickly and professionally. Whenever there was a question, Shawn was able to respond to an email within 24-36hrs.(tops) They spaced out the work since we had about a month before we moved into the house. On our actual move day, his team was able to connect everything and mount 3 TVs in one day! They also went above and beyond when they decided to run a bonus extra CAT5 cable under the house for the main DirecTV unit. Today was the final piece of installing the two Play 5 Sonos speakers and extending the wireless throughout the house. I used to run projections and lights for special events, and these guys are absolute pros. High Definition is one of the few companies where you don't have to worry about the contractors your hired.

Shawn drove to all the way to Long Beach for my tiny job. It did not go smoothly, but he persisted until the job was completed to my satisfaction. He obviously knows what he is doing and stuck to his quoted Charge.

The company was very professional from the moment we called to set up the appointment. They took time to understand exactly what we wanted, and was very accommodating with our schedules. At the time of service, they showed up punctually and got right to work. They were efficient, clean and did not try to upsell anything else. i appreciated the work they did and would consider them in the future for any more work we need done.

Very Good very respectable person

The work and experience went well. After receiving a very high estimate from another electrician, I searched Angie's List and found Shawn from High Definition Audio Video. To be fair the first estimate I received, I think they did not do the type of job that I was seeking. i also tried to have a previous Electrican who did the same job for us in 2011 for $135, but after calling them twice and them stating they get back to me, I found Shawn. Shawn gave me an estimate quickly and the job was scheduled to be completed two days later. The installer showed up on time and was very helpful. I was a bit disappointed that I was left with a small patching job, but I was warned that that could happen before I scheduled the appointment, I am also planning to obtain an estimate from Shawn to upgrade our surround sound system.

Shawn called me back after both of my calls to the company within 30 minutes or less. Their first visit was scheduled for a day and a half later. The second visit was scheduled for 30 minutes later. Very fast service! Hugo and Hector were professional, prompt, and very capable. Their prices were fair. I would absolutely use High Definition AV again.

Went well. Woudl have appreciated being informed in advance that the TV was not goign to be centered to the wall becasue of the studs. Woudl have made a diff decision.

I purchased the mounting brackets, but decided I should get a professional to actually install and hang my TV. They were able to schedule me right away and did an excellent job with the mounting. They also ran the wires through the wall and made sure that all of the equipment worked. They were very careful with everything and also cleaned everything up. These guys are top notch! I would definitely recommend Shawn and his company for anyone who needs this type of audio/visual work.

Shawn and his team helped connect my home theater . The home theater was a piece of cake for them to install and they provided me with any missing equipment that I didn't already have. They also programmed some remote controls that work through the media console so we don't have to have the cabinet doors open all the time. For our audio system, Shawn originally sold me a Sonos System, which was a phenomenal system... But ultimately it was not exactly right for my specific needs so he took it back and made sure my new system worked. The network was tricky to get right because of the size of our property, but they came back and extended it and it has been working beautifully ever since. I would not hesitate to call Shawn again for any audio, video or network need. His crew was nice and professional. And they exceeded all expectations!!

Overall the work went just fine. Guys were great and on time. The only reason I am giving them a B is because they came with some wrong plates/parts and then had to come back on a second day, even though I was specific about what I wanted to be installed. If I could give a B+ I would.

needed a flat panel mounted on the wall with power/cables all hidden behind the TV. Also needed some cat 5 lines run and some stuff moved around. These guys came out right away the crew was top notch. Shawn gave me options for saving money and even helped me figure out my best remote control options. All in all i would use Shawn and co again. Very solid AAA++++

They were great. They can do a lot of different types of work, but I just stuck to the mounting. They did sell me a bracket for the mounting, but it was a very good price for the type of bracket. Everything they did was of good quality. They ran the wires through the wall and made sure all the cables were plugged into the units correctly. They even tested everything to make sure it was working properly with the TV.

Left a message requesting their services. No one even bothered to call back.

I Had bought the $99/ installation to mount a TV in a new room. The owner honored my certificate even though it was past the expiration date which was very nice. (I was out of town for a longer time) The guys who came were nice and knowledgeable. The only thing I found to be a problem was that they drilled a big hole in my wall and left it. Not only was it a hole but the crack went down about another half a foot below. Originally they told me I would just get a cap on it and wait to have it plastered up, but then the crack made it impossible. I'm having the house re-painted so someone is coming to patch it all up, but it did seem odd that I was left with a big gaping hole in my wall and no offer to help it get fixed. In truth I'm not sure if that's common and not their job to handle that, but it did seem odd. In addition it did cost an additional $100 to get the right materials to hang it.

The installation went well. The extra fee was incurred due to the rewiring of our cable. There was an error made in the wall and a hole had to be covered by a wall plate. Other than that, the tv was mounted without any problems.

Shawn and his team were very professional and did a great job. I was nervous at first since this is my first house and I knew I was going to spend a meaningful amount of money on setting up the home theater systems. I interviewed a couple different companies for the project but settled on Shawn's team since he had the simplest approach to getting good quality sound throughout my home. I didn't want to have wireless speakers since I care a lot about sound quality and I figured I had the chance to hardwire the whole house so why not. Shawn came up with several detailed proposals and I chose the one that made the most sense for me and my budget. He then worked with my general contractor (who was renovating the house at the same time) over several months to solve a couple challenges: (i) I wanted all the TVs in each room to be flat into the wall (as opposed to sticking out) without any components (e.g., cable box or DVD player) showing and (ii) I had to build my media room TV into a rotating wall with surround sound in the other room walls. Shawn was able to pull this off with my contractor and I'm happy with my result, which isn't the simplest system in the world but fairly elegant given the constraints (e.g., all components for both TVs are in a single closet in a room separate from the TVs). Just as important, I asked Shawn to return to my house on three different occasions to correct issues that I ran into with my home theater system (some of which were the cable company's fault). Shawn was quick to respond and super helpful. He didn't even charge me for his repeat visits. He also taught me new things about my home theater system each time. Overall, I highly recommend Shawn and his team at High Definition Audio Video.

Went very well. Showed up on time, were 100% professional, completed the job quickly, cleaned up everything after themselves. The mount needed to be at a strange angle to see from bed easily, and they got it perfectly. They also checked the tv and cable to make sure everything was working properly. I had been using two different remotes -one to turn on the tv and for volume and the other to change the channels as the cable guy could not get them to work together. The technician realized this when they were checking the tv/cable, and programmed the remote so now I only have to use one! Very happy about that! It's been several months since the work was done and it's always a pleasure to walk into the bedroom and see it mounted perfectly.

Very professional, made some good suggestions on how to maximize what I had to work with and how to improve on it. Nice guy and worked a little beyond the call to get it all right. Would use him again.

First class company! Shawn is Super knowledgeable and does his work with a high level of pride and workmanship. Stays up with the trends in the industry, knows what works well and what doesn't.

They were very professional. He came out & did the best job he could. There was a framing issue so they had offset the bracket, but he did everything he could.

Shawn is a super nice guy, straight shooter, and tries to ensure that all your isssues are worked out before you pay the bill. We had some hiccups along the way, and there was some extra work to do, but we negotiated a reasonable rate between us and all was fine. he also brought in a sub to do the Crestron reprogramming.
