The guys were doing construction work on the floor above me and they threw a lot of stuff onto the patio. My next door neighbour was very upset about the mess, so I needed to get it cleaned up fast. The price was pretty high. They did a really good job. They came out the minute I called them.

I am in the process of moving and of course you have a lot of stuff you don't need to move with you. I made the appointment on line, they gave me a timeframe and called when they were on their way. They looked at what I wanted gone and gave a fair price. All of my unwanted furniture and garden pots were gone in a half an hour and they even swept up. I would definitely recommend them.

I called Junk King on Jan. 2nd to haul away a hide-a-bed couch and a huge desk. They came out the next day, Jan. 3rd. They gave me an estimate based on how much room the stuff would take in their truck. Since I was a return customer, they gave me a discount. I was happy with the price. The guys were very nice and professional. My new furniture was coming on Jan. 5th, so I was happy they were able to come before the new stuff arrived. I have used Junk King before and will definitely use them in the future. Very, very happy with their service!!

They made it a point to call when in route for both the estimate and day of actual work, advising us of their updated arrival time. On the day of work, their truck broke down on the freeway - they offered, if we had to postpone, to discount the cost of the job. By this time we were so impressed with their professionalism that we told them to just get there as soon as possible. The did an excellent job.

Was looking for a dumpster service to get rid of a bunch of junk after cleaning out our house, old tvs and other electronics, and old carpet that was being stored for a friend. Got phone quotes from the dumpster services that are certified to operate in San Jose and the prices seemed high. I booked an appointment with Junk King after seeing their reviews here and on yelp. They base your pricing on how much of their truck you fill and the load the truck and clean up. The also make every effort to recycle anything you give them. They arrived in the appointment window and called 30 min prior to their arrival like we agreed. When they arrived they looked over the amount of stuff that we were getting rid of and quoted us a price that was slightly ($20) higher then renting a dumpster; I didn't have to worry about other people throwing their trash in the dumpster I rented, loading the dumpster, and additional fees for overloading or putting things in the bin that they couldn't take. They loaded everything up in their truck and swept up really well. I will use this service again when I have a large amount of junk to get rid of.

Had a great experience with Junk King. Was given an appointment a couple of days out from when I called to get a free estimate for clearing out items from a storage space. On the day of the appointment the dispatcher called me to inform me that the crew might be delayed but in fact the crew ended up arriving within the time window that I was given. The crew (Mike & co) was very professional and provided an estimate that seemed very reasonable. They were not pushy at all and got the job done well within the time they said the job would take. They cleaned up thoroughly after they were done. Also appreciated the fact that although I had asked them to clear out the entire storage space they used good judgment and checked about certain items with me before disposing them. There were no surprises and everything went smoothly and as planned. It was a hassle-free experience. I would definitely recommend Junk King.

I called Junk King on the recommendation of one of my students, whose father owns a franchise in Atlanta. The appointment was for 8:00 a.m. and Cliff and James and a truck arrived on time. They first provided an estimate - a minimum of two truck loads, probably three. I gave them the go-ahead and they got to work. Later, Bob replaced Cliff when he brought back another truck. All worked steadily until they completed the job at about 2:30. The surprise was that they only had one and a half truck loads. This was mainly due to the work of James, who cut all of the long boards so that they could be stacked in the truck, taking much less room than if the boards had been just tossed in. The team made uncountable trips from the backyard to the truck in the front. They were always polite and I never saw them slacking off. I can recommend them without any reservations.

They called prior to coming, they were on time and did a great job moving junk out and into their truck and were very fast as well. The sweep up job was minimal, I'll have to sweep more thoroughly later. But thats not what they came out to do.

They showed up on time, hauled everything off and made sure everything was clean and tidy -- no issues!

I would have given this company an "A" overall but there seems to be a problem with pricing. We have used them a couple of times before and they pretty much "eyeball" the amount of items you have and how much space it will take in their large hauling trucks they use. They won't open it to let you see the "amount of space the items will take up", so if you don't know your measurments, which they throw around loosely they will charge for more space. Fortunately, my husband and I both are quite ept when it comes to this so they will bring down their "eyeballed" estimate to something more specific and fair. For this reason I gave a "C" on both price and professionalism. Otherwise, they are unbelivably punctural, they are great communicators (starting with their office staff), polite and they go wherever you need them, in your garage, home or storage unit (away from home); they take care of it all!! Even so, I would use them again and have continued recommending them.

I purchased a Living Social voucher for $10 which was supposed to get me $89 worth of junk removal. I had a good size pile of junk in the middle of my basement. Upon arrival, one of the three guys told me that the pile would normally cost $188 - so he deducted the $89 credit I had, added tax, and I had to pay a total of $106.92. I thought this a little steep, but I had nothing to compare it to - and I didn't feel like dealing with the junk at that point - I just wanted it out. So I agreed. The guys came in and out the front door, down my basement steps and into the basement with large plastic trash cans, which they filled up and then took out to dump in their truck. It was a rainy day, and they didn't put on booties and use any drop clothes. When I went down to check out the area after they left, I saw that there were muddy rings on my carpet (which is less than a year old), obviously from the trash cans. I immediately called their office, and shortly after telling the receptionist what had happened, the guy who had taken my money called me. He said they had a small carpet cleaner, and he would come over that Mon. and clean the area. I told him I was not comfortable with that option, as it was a fairly new carpet, and I've been told many times only to professionally clean carpets for the best outcomes (I got rid of a small green machine carpet cleaner for just that reason). He said he would come out that Mon. afternoon ~4:30 pm to look at the carpet, and would call first. I received no call, and no visit. I e-mailed the customer service e-mail address on the website for Junk King twice. They did not bother to reply. Their website says "We'll collect your junk from anywhere on your premises, clean up the area, and then dispose or recycle your junk." They certainly did NOT clean up the area. They left a mess, which will no doubt cost, at a minimum, $100 to have professionally cleaned. I will never use them again. They obviously do not care about customer service.

Made an appt right online and they called to confirm. Driver called to say they were on the way. Looked over job to do and gave an estimate. We gave the Ok and they started right away. Very professional and the quaility of their work was excellent. They made sure that we approved before they left.

quick, efficient and punctual are the words that come to mind.

They set it up for the next day and were here when they said they would be. They did a good job and came in under the minimum price.

Would highly recommend their service to anyone.

Setting up an appointment was painless, they came on time and were done quickly. A bit expensive, but effective.

They were good, professional and they worked hard. They give you an estimate in the beginning and tell you exactly would the trip would going to cost and that was pretty accurate. They did it quickly and they were gone.

They arrived on time and got to work. All they had to do was load the stuff into the truck --some of it was heavy and awkward, but we had done the preliminary work of clearing it out of the garage and 2 sheds. They also took e-waste. The price was based on how much of the truck was filled -ours was 1/2 truck. It was hard to estimate the cost in advance because I couldn't visualize how much of the truck would be filled. I wasn't surprised at the cost (included a $50 coupon), but didn't think it was low. It was over in 45 minutes and saved us a lot of dump trips. It was worth it.

A job well done. My new home was vacant for some time and the back of the 1+acres had been used as a dumping ground. Junk King came out the day after I called them with a capable and efficient crew. Pricing was based on the amount of the truck filled; it didn't matter that they had to trek a tenth of a mile to the back of the property, remove the junk and hand carry it back up the hill through the mud to the truck. They worked tirelessly without complaint. They did an excellent job making my back yard safe for my young children. Absolutely recommended.

Two very nice, very professional employees arrived on time. We discussed what needed to be hauled and the pricing was explained. The estimate is based on how much space the items take in the truck. The load was estimated to be about half of the truck. Once we agreed on the price they got right to work and loaded all of the wood. The entire job was complete in about one half hour. They swept the area clean before they left.

Good experience - I had an exact measurement of the volume of material. Couldn't get an estimate of cost on website. Called and was given a range plus they honored web discount.
