They professionally cleaned the whole house carpet including closets, .... with a reasonable price.

they did a nice job on the cleaning - it took a lot longer to dry then I had been lead to believe and I felt like I kept getting the price I had originally paid for (an Angie's list special) dinged up and up for every little extra thing the cleaner suggested. Plus he made a comment at some point that my price was pretty fair as he would normally charge extra to come to my location - if that's the case, say it up front and include it in the purchase deal, but don't guilt trip me later.

Needed the work done fairly quickly due to showing house for sale. Scott originally said Monday 10/19, called back said he was mistaken it would be Monday 10/26 and then without being asked said, you know what, I'll come right now, Saturday. Came promptly, was very friendly and professional. The recliners look new. He even did some of the area rug and vacuumed the couches! It was a pleasure.

Everything went great. I had a master bedroom full of many years worth of dog urine. I had used many companies over the years to clean the urine and it would always come back. Mr. Watkins was true to his word and worked very hard to remove as much as he coIuld and without over wetting the carpet. He did a great job and offered to clean my couch for $75 which was a great deal because it is a very big L shaped sectional. I plan on replacing my carpet soon in my bedroom, but will use him again for the rest of the house and my upholstery.

Do not hesitate to call Scott and his son. They were able to come the day after I called them and were exactly on time. Their equipment is modern, their manners and work ethic very professional, their presentation friendly and flexible as to anything that needed done. The most amazing part of this review is that is was not a typical residence, but one that had been used for rentals over 25 years. The carpet itself was original to the house 30 years ago and is a silver gray color. I wasn't expecting anything other than looking like we tried, but Scott and his son worked very h****** spots, stains and discolorations ( not for extra pay) that's just how they seem to work. Needless to say we are extremely please with Watkins Carpet Cleaning. Finding people like Scott Watkins was the reason we joined Angie's List in the first place. You just can't go wrong with this company!

I can't give you details because he and his staff completed the work while I was at work! There is nothing better than returning from a hard day to clean, fresh-smelling carpets that are practically dry already. He was also able to clean my mother-in-law's carpets and restored her soiled couch/love seat to nearly brand-new! He even detailed her carpets in her car! Super nice guy. Very detail oriented. Very fair prices. He cleaned the carpets in my professional office, as well, several months ago. Showed up right away to give a quote (after Chem Dry had come by and quoted TRIPLE). We scheduled. He arrived on-time and did a completely thorough job, including waiting room chairs. The whole experience went so smoothly and without drama. Thank you, Watkins Carpet Cleaning!

The carpet of the house we just bought was very dirty and obviously not well maintained. I got in touch with Scott and he came over and did a very good job.... my carpet looks new! He even took the time to clean the cover of our above the ground spa for free which my husband really appreciated. We will definitely use his services again in the future and recommend him to friends and family.

Carpets are 11 plus years old. We have lived here 11 years. Carpets were in house when we moved in. Carpets are a light biege color, medium pile. Have had carpets professionally cleaned two previous times. Have cleaned them, from time to time, with household carpet cleaning machine. In bedrooms, carpets visibly dirty in routine traffic lanes. In Living and Sitting Room, a number of stains and traffic lane soil. We often eat in the Living Room while watching tv. Result, a number of persistent stains from food and beverage spills. Carpets are now clean with stains removed. Most persistent stain was from red wine spill. After 1 week, it has not reappeared. Cleaning crew used powerful fans to dry the carpets. We were able to walk on the carpets before the crew left. We did wait a few hours before moving furniture back. A friend gave me his copy of a recent Angie's List magazine. Found Watkins Carpet Cleaning ad in the magazine. Price negotiated included a 10 percent Senior Discount, a plus. Final price was higher than initial estimate because I opted to have the DuPont Teflon treatment applied after the cleaning.

I agreed to an extra $100 for travel and to get a urine smell from my dog out of the carpet. It was not provided as stated. I am not happy with the service. He offered to come back in two weeks to check on the work because he was doing my neighbor’s house but he has not been by. I have not heard from the company.

First of all, I just looked at all the critical reviews of this carpet cleaner and he just defends or denies all of the criticism. He would be better served to listen to the complaints and try to correct them. That said, I am very disappointed in Angie's List as I was looking for a good carpet cleaner in my area. I have lived in my house 40 years and have had many carpet cleaners. Some that I used many times and some only once. I am well versed in carpet cleaners. Scott Watkins came on time with 2 other helpers. When setting the appointment I told him I had a lot of carpet so allow enough time. I will get right to the point. 1. He was very focused on what he was charging me and what he was "throwing in for free". I took issue with that, just tell me how much it cost and what does your service include? Your not giving it to me "Free" if it's part of your service. 2. He haphazardly went through the house and counted, $25 for this room, $25 for that room didn't matter the size. Didn't charge by square feet. I'm not sure what constituted his charges. 3. He was so unorganized. He was so scattered. He missed so many spots. I have regular pile acrylic carpeting, he said he rarely cleans this type of carpeting!!!!!!!!!!! He told me one of his workers is new and isn't doing a good job when I pointed out spots that were supposedly already cleaned. He was going to leave the carpet with foot steps and shadows and marks in the pile. I asked if he was going to rake it. He said "do you want it raked"? I said "are you happy leaving the job looking like this"? He said some people don't want it raked! I said my husband will come home knowing I had carpet cleaning and this is what he'll see. (looked like an army marched through the house), the carpet does show every footprint. When we have carpet cleaning they always rake the carpet from one end of the house to another. It looks pristine when they leave. And so he raked it, not pristine but an attempt. 4. The funniest one was when he was in the living room and said "doesn't this look nice"! We rarely go in the living room, there were no spots to begin with. We go in the living room maybe 5 times a year!!!!! I had to laugh at that one! 5. He told me my carpet was soapy! That was a new one! First it's been about 2 years since I last cleaned the carpet. I usually have truck mounted steam cleaning. The carpet dries fast and is not soapy!!! He does this thing of licking his finger and brushing it on the carpet to determine the soap level!!!!!! His equipment is not a sophisticated truck mounted cleaner, it is a machine that I think you can rent or maybe a little bigger than a machine you can rent. When I call for carpet cleaning I want POWER! This was not a powerful machine. 6. Lastly, I have to give him "A" for effort. His price would have been reasonable had he been organized and professional.He did go over things that I pointed out. He did go over the kitchen and family room again after I told him that was unacceptable. He was polite and not nasty when I critisized his work. When he concentrated on getting certain stains out it appeared he did get them out. But for me it was exhausting!!!! I couldn't go over the whole house saying "what about that, what about this?". After awhile I just wanted it done and out of here. I can imagine if you just have a room or two Watkins Carpet Cleaning could work for you, but definitely not a whole house!!!!!! I don't know how much to trust Angie's list after this one! He has the most reviews and all kinds of A ratings but I just don't know how, this is very misleading. Now I really don't know how to judge a good service. I hope this one review helps others!

The owner of the company along with his son and a trainee arrived on time. They worked very diligently getting stains out and cleaning an old carpet. Three specially made carpet fans were placed in different areas for rapid drying. The carpet looked better than it ever has after a professional cleaning. Most of the stains did not come back. He was very friendly and went above and beyond until the stains dissappered. I would recommend the company to everyone and use them again and again.

Scott arrived on time, inspected the areas that I needed cleaned and provided me with suggested cleaning options. A year prior I had rented a carpet cleaner and attempted to do the job myself. The result was that the carpet didnt seem as clean as I would have liked. Scott suggested a neutralizer to remove any old cleaner that remained, along with a deodorizer. He did an excellent job, cleaning high traffic areas multiple times to make sure that they were clean.The large fans that he uses for drying the carpet are really effective. Until I met Scott, I have never met anyone who is passionate about cleaning carpets. His dedication to his craft really shines through. He is upbeat, friendly and truly cares about the service that he provides.

My experience was okay. They did their job well. It was during the holidays. They did not want to do the work that day we had scheduled. They tried to negotiate out of it. I also felt the price was too much for my couch.

It was a Big Deal purchase. They did a really nice job on the upholstery. We added services beyond what the coupon covered and we had to pay extra for that.

The team showed up on time and was very professional. There was no upsale what-so-ever like I had come to expect from Carpet Cleaners. They were in and out, and when they left they left the carpets clean and dry. There were no surprise stains and the carpet smelled very good. I would definitely recommend their service to anyone.

I normally don't review the services I receive. As a business owner, I know that everything doesn't always go as planned, so I try not to be critical of other companies, especially if they are trying hard to deliver the best service possible. My first impression of Watkins was that they were a company that is working hard to provide the best service and good product. I read the review and wanted to use them to clean our carpets. We had a string of spots from the living room to the bathroom that we wanted removed; aside from that the carpet was fairly clean overall. I originally called and asked what the charge would be and explained the amount of sq ft we wanted cleaned. The owner said he would do if for 65.00. My wife called to schedule and the price went up to 125.00. He explained he would be traveling quite a distance to clean our carpets so I allowed them to come. When they arrived, he immediately said he could tell that we had a huge soap residue problem and we needed a citrus acid rinse to remove the soap. Now our price was 150.00 for 400 sq ft of carpet cleaning. That's 37 cents a square foot. Then he had the nerve to ask if I would fax a quote for him to potential customer, I noticed on the quote he was going to charge 10 cents a sq.ft.; which I did fax for him. He went on to say how great he was going to make our carpets look. Because he was now standing in my living room, I allowed him to clean our carpet at this extremely high cost. I have to say his crew was young and had little experience but they all worked hard. Even though the owner constantly made weird comments and admissions of past jobs and mistakes, he kept saying how much attention to detail his crew has and how well they were going to clean my carpets. His equipment was a commercial grade ninja carpet cleaner that was portable. Even though it looked like it was something you could rent at Home Depot, I think these are intended to be used as spot cleaners not to clean large areas such as homes or apartments. Before leaving he approached me to tell what I should say in my review about his service. As you can imagine this review is nothing like he suggested. After they left, the carpet was still damp and about 7 hours later it was dry. At this point we noticed the spots that we specifically wanted cleaned weren't gone. They were faded but still there. So I called him to express my concern about the spots. I initially wanted a partial refund so I could just have another cleaning company come do the job. The owner said this is something that never happens to him. He said that when he left, my carpets were clean and spot free, but he wanted to make it right and would come and fix the issue that day. He asked me to send him a picture and I consented. I received a phone call from his wife stating that from the picture they received from me that we had a wicking problem. She further went onto say that it was a stain in the padding but they would need to charge me again to come clean the carpets. I asked, "Do you think you can remove the stains?" She was adamant that they could. I posed the question, "Why didn't you remove it the first time?" She said it was because they didn't know and needed to use a different chemical, called Stain Absorb. But, she had just finished telling me that she had 20 years of experience and could tell from a picture what the problem was, but when they were in my living room they couldn't??? I expressed my disappointment that they weren't any longer going to warrant their work or give a partial refund and I would have to decline their offer to charge me again to clean my carpet. I am not saying whether or not you should use Watkins, but merely sharing my experience with them. Personally, I will seek other carpet cleaning companies in the future.

We were very happy with the work. The Watkins, Scott and Carol, were very accommodating and scheduled us in the day after I purchased the deal through Angie's List. Scott explained up front the costs and made sure we understood what services they were providing and exactly what they would cost. They both worked hard and did a thorough job. They were enthusiastic, communicative and a pleasure to be around. We will use their service again and actually look forward to seeing them again.

Mr. Watkins called to say he was on his way. I appreciated that. Said our carpet was in very good condition and soft. Didn't appear to have a lot of soap in it from previous cleanings. (Our carpet is 13 years old). Brought in two new fans that were put over areas where a table had to be moved back in order to clean other side. He and his son moved to all areas doing a neat and precise job. Carpet dried completely by morning. He was friendly and sincere. I would recommend him to others.

They showed up at the agreed upon time. Inspected the area to be cleaned and then explained what they were going to do and products to be used. Noticed some pet stains and pre treated them at no additional charge. Also cleaned small area mat at no additional fee. Applied scotch-guard to help with the pet stains. Did a great job and will definitely call them when it is time for the carpet to be cleaned again. Will recommend them to friends.

It was absolutely wonderful! I'd recommend them. Their price was extremely reasonable. The carpet dried in 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
