+ -1 moreThey were punctual. The estimate for the work was reasonable. After starting the job, it became apparent that because of the poor condition of the tile and likely improper installation, that their work wasn't going to improve the appearance. Therefore we decided not to proceed. They didn't charge for any of the work that had been done.
Description of Work: Plan was to clean and touch up very old and damaged concrete tile.

+ 0 moreThey were outstanding. They were careful with patio pots and moved them. The patios and decks looked like new when they were done. They had to reschedule when the weather was too cool for the sealant to dry. Although I wanted to get the job done they insisted on waiting until the weather was warmer and they could do a quality job. The people are very professional and a joy to work with. I have referred them so several neighbors and friends.
Description of Work: They cleaned and sealed interior and exterior saltillo tiles.

The front office was excellent at communicating all scheduled services and worked with me when I needed to make the time of day earlier for the work performed. I would definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: They sanded, cleaned and polished my limestone kitchen counter tops and cleaned my limestone fireplace.

+ -1 moreTony arrived right on time after a busy morning at Sea World. He quickly inspected all three areas and recommended that I buy a tube of sanded grout caulk to touch up the bad areas myself. He noted that the previous contractor had not installed backerboard and consequently it would be risky to regrout the shower and bath walls - and more cost-effective for me to go with a fiberglass liner when the grout finally died completely. How often do you get an honest trades person that tells you not to waste you money on their services and advises you on alternatives? I'll happily call them back for any future tile installation or restoration in my new house.
Description of Work: BAL (before Angie's List), I hired a contractor to replace the carpet and tile (floors and counters) in my rental condo. Ten years later, the sanded grout used in the bath walls and counters is slowly disintegrating. The request was to inspect the grout and provide a quote to either remove/replace it or to patch/seal it.

Description of Work: from the first phone call to inquire about services offered, I felt as if I had known these folks my entire life. Sandra was so personable,answered my questions and worked with my hectic schedule. Tony and his associate came out and gave us an estimate for our marble floor cleaning and polishing. We set up the appointment at a later time. They came on time and did a fantastic job, finishing before the original time quoted. The floor looks amazing! My brother, who put in the floor originally, took one look and said, WOW! Yep--WOW! It's so shiny it looks wet! What a pleasure to deal with such wonderful people! I would highly recommend Excel Stone and Tile Care ! Thanks Angies List--I got their name from your booklet!

After we had received several bids we decided to hire Tony to do the work. Tony arrived on-time and completed the work on-time. He brought in some additional help so the job was completed within a day (very helpful to us). The work looks great and his price was in-line with the other estimates.

carpet cleaners
+ -1 moreSandra and her husband, Tony, are both very nice and professional. I was impressed with the customer service from start to finish. Sandra returned calls promptly, and was eager to provide all the information necessary. Tony and his employee arrived ahead of the scheduled time and got to work. Overall they did a very good job and the carpets looked great. There were a couple of spots in the master bedroom that didn't completely come out, but I didn't notice until long after they had left and it wasn't worth calling them back about it. I would definitely use them again, and recommend them to you as well.

+ 0 morePrompt, showed up at time scheduled and went right to work. Good, deep steam cleaning of carpet. I did find one dent in the corner of a bedroom door that had been freshly painted prior to their work and found immediately after their work, but did not see it until workers had left. Cleaned the tiles up in the tub/shower tiled enclosure and re-grouted-matched grouting well. Excellent quality of work but a little high priced for carpet cleaning aspect ($225) as I have used steam cleaning services previously for around $120 that were similar in quality. Overall, besides the price aspect of carpet cleaning, very good quality work. Would use again.
Description of Work: Steam cleaned all carpet in a 2 story condo rental (approx. 450-500 sq ft of carpeting) including stairs. Cleaned mold from tub tile surround and re-grouted the tiles next to tub.

+ -1 moreTony and his assistant sanded, power-washed and applied two coats of impregnating sealer to the garage floor. The entire process took about 3 hours. The sealer was allowed to dry for 5 days before resuming use of the garage, although 3 days would have been adequate drying time.

+ -1 moreI don't remember how much it cost. I was really glad that they didn't damage the tile at all. I had this kind of job done at another house I lived in and the people I hired damaged the tile. I got an estimate beforehand and I found that they were honest in their dealings with me. They were on time. They did what they said they were going to do. The guy was very nice. It was easy dealing with them. I don't have anything to compare their price to. I remember that it was not cheap. I wasn't here for the work. My son was here so I don't know exactly what was involved. He did a real nice job. I would use them in the future if I needed to.

+ 1 moreTwo people worked for two days. The first day they repaired the kitchen counter which was a delicate and time consuming affair. The result is very good. Only us can see where the old tiles have been replaced, They also cleaned the rug of the dining room. The second day, they cleaned the tile and grout of the kitchen and dining room area, polished and sealed it. They also cleaned the carpeting of the second floor and the staircase. We usually have this done every year by another company but tis time the carpet of the staircase is much cleaner than usual.
Description of Work: - changed and repaired some broken tiles from our kitchen counter.(20) We bought the tiles. -cleaned the grout from our kitchen amd dining room area (about 500 square feet) and sealed it. -repaired some of the grout of the floor of our shower stall. -cleaned the rug under our dining room table. -cleaned the carpeting of our second floor ( 2 bedrooms, a corridor, a hall, and a staircase)
