Excellently. Better than I expected.

The CEO was great! Timely, formal, respectful and commited to quality. A few spots were missed but, he took care of it immediately. The floor really improved and had a fresh lighter look to it. Grooves, holes and scratches were filled and became invisible.

They came when scheduled to give an estimate and get the grout color. I made an appointment for the job and they came on time. Service was professional and the grout has held up well. I would certainly use them again.

Everything about Tony Warney was professional, arrived on time, did his work competently and completed all the quoted tasks just as he said he would do. Had used him previously on our prior home cleaning and sealing Mexican hex pavers (and referring me to the excellent tile installer for repair and replacement), so knew of his excellent work. Tony's wife, Sandra, works the office for the paperwork, scheduling, etc. and they are an excellent team. I know I can count on him to give us the straight scoop on all things having to do with tile.

Everything went smoothly. I compared 2 other companies and they were the least expensive. They were very professional began the job on time and finished by scheduled end date. Gave us a good recommendation on type of floor cleaner to use. We will definitely use them again when it comes time to reapply the sealer.

Communication was excellent in setting up the appointment. The work crew was punctual and did a very good job making an older saltillo kitchen floor look good again!

They made it look as good as it did when it was new!

When we moved to San Diego our house had Saltillo tile and Stanley Steemer ensured us they could clean them along with our carpets. Note to self- only use experts to clean saltillo tile. SS caused damage and didn't know how to reseal the tile. In 2013 we were recommended another company, but I realized that again, their experience was in general tile cleaning. I searched Angie;'s list and found Excel Stone. This is a very, very small family business. They came and gave an estimate and showed me before and after pictures of other homes. I also learned there are only a handful of experts in this tile maintainence here and in Arziona. On the day of the cleaning, the owner and his associate arrived promplty. They were incrediby careful with our furniture and newly painted walls. Within two days we could use the entire house again. While I thought it was expensive, I now realize that you can pay half the price for a general tile cleaner, but then the tiles are either damaged or a second professional treatment is needed.

He did a great job and was very professional. The office manager, Sandra, was also fantastic to work with as the service was done when we were not able to be there as we were in the middle of a move. Sandra was very accomodating, responsive and very easy to deal with. They were completely trustworthy and I would absolutely use them again.

I found them on Angie’s List and they were excellent. They were super professional and did beautiful work. Everything they told us was on time and on budget. They were terrific. What they say is what they do. They are very honest. It is a small husband and wife team and they are extremely trustworthy and very professional. They are not the cheapest in the business but they are the best, and it is worth every dime.

Tony was very professional and informative about tile care. Experienced additional problems with mold buildup after original treatment. Tony was very responsive and provided an immediate solution which has proven to be a permanent fix. In addition, his office staff was very helpful and responsive to my calls. They kept me informed as to available times and when to expect Tony's arrival. Sandra was especially helpful.

I can't say enough of how pleased I was with the service that Excel Stone & Tile care provided. Tony and Sandra were professional from beginning to end. When Tony provided his initial estimate, it was higher than other estimates, but you really get what you pay for with his team. His knowledge of the different types of stone that he would be caring for was more than evident. It was a learning experience working with him. Sandra helped to schedule the work so it didn't interfere with the other projects in the house. They also provided proper cleaning instructions to include in our contract with future renters. They repaired holes in the Travertine fireplace to the point that it is barely noticeable. They restored the "Wow" factor back into an old house. We would definitely use them again.

I have white tile and white grout. I had it professionally cleaned on a regular basis, but eventually it just didn?t seem to clean up, leaving me with white tile and gray grout. I was actually exploring re-grouting, when I learned about the re-color option. I got two estimates, and Excel Stone?s was the best. It seemed pricey to me, but when I saw the amount of work that went into it, I felt the price was entirely fair, and it was a fraction of what I would have paid for re-grouting. Also, I was thrilled with the appearance, looked like new counters and flooring. I had one problem. After the first session, in which they did the kitchen, they did not rinse the floor well enough and it affected my dogs, (I leave the details to your imagination). I mentioned this when they came to do the other rooms and all was left sparkling. Altogether it was a very good outcome for a very good price.

Vendor was a half hour late for the initial consultation (but we did get a call advising us about that). He was thorough in his explanation, and answered all my questions. He showed up right on time with his assistant on the day of work. There were no issues during the process. They took excellent precautions to make sure cabinetry and walls were damaged. Once work was completed, the floors looked much better. However, some of the tiles had their topcoating scraped off. When I pointed it out to the vendor, his response made me realize that he didn't fully understand the nature of saltillo tiles (i.e., how soft they are, and that they have a thin baked-on finish).

Tony and Sandra were such a joy to work with, very pleasant, responsive and accommodating. We were considering replacing tile for slab marble or tile, or having the existing tile cleaned and/or regrouted. Tony came out to look at the job, give me pros and cons, tell me what he could and couldn't do and gave me a clear estimate. We decided to keep our existing 4x4 tile and have it professionally cleaned. He and his helper performed the work quickly and efficiently. Tony was very helpful in giving suggestions on tile care. The repair job on the chipped kitchen tile was great, barely noticeable.

My wife contacted Excel Stone and Tile Company and had a great experience talking with the Owners wife. An appointment was made on Friday and the Owner arrived on Saturday to give us an estimate. The owner and his wife was such joy to talk to work with. I wish I had more work to offer. The team arrived on time to complete the work and the tile and grout coloring turned out so great I would recommend this company to others. The only thing that didn't turn out as good as hoped was the chip repair. The Owner warned me that it is likely that the color matching and chip repair may not hold or look it's best so he did not charge me for the attempt. Even though the chip repair isn't the best it looks better. Don't miss understand. The work completed is fantastic and I will use this company again in the future.

It was a great experience overall, and I really enjoyed speaking with Sandra. We had to reschedule an appointment time and she was so understanding and very accommodating to our needs. It was just really nice to speak with someone who is so customer service oriented. I find that to be a very rare quality today.

The company was very pleasant & accommodating to our tight schedule. they were prompt and cleaned up after themselves well. Tony even took time to color match grout so we could purchase grout in areas needing fill-in. the floor looks great! (this is a rental property)

It went great !! I called to make an appointment for the estimate. They scheduled a time, called ahead and showed up on time. I then made an appointment for the job to be done. Again, they called the day before to confirm, called an hour before to let me know they would be there on time. The technician did a really great job. I had some large chips in the kitchen floor and in the grout which he repaired. He did such a great job with matching the variable colors that you can't see where they were. He then cleaned and sealed it. It looks like a new floor. He did a great job on the shower pan in the master bathroom, repairing the grout, cleaning and sealing it. The bathroom floor and the entry hall to the master bedroom also look like new. I am going to have him return to repair, clean and seal the marble floor in the house entry, powder room and hallway. I am fairly particular about having things done right and I highly recommend Excel Stone and Tile Care.

They were on time for both the estimate and to perform the work. The only surprise was that the repairs turned out much nicer than I ever expected. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

They were excellent, very fair with their quote, very helpful as far as giving references on how to maintaining, clean, and keep it up yourself. I was very pleased with them. They were a couple hundred dollars cheaper than some of the other quotes. I was very, very pleased with them.

An estimate for the work necessary was performed at no charge. We agreed on a date for the job after the estimate and it was confirmed by Sandra, to be done two days following the estimate. I am a widow, and could not move many of the larger pieces of furniture. Tony was very professional, moving furniture necessary for job completion with his helper. They arrived just prior to the appointment time, completed the exceptional job and I am extremely happy with the results! The Travertine tile and stone is polished and "squeaky" clean, even nicer than when it was first installed! I was also instructed on how to clean the tile with a very informational package from their web site and from Tony himself. I can't say enough about this company , their diligence and superior knowledge! Great work all and the letter received after completion was a very nice surprise! Thank you so very much! You have made my home "glisten" again!
