Description of Work: I had the pleasure of doing business with Save Energy Company in replacing all of my windows. This is a company that stands for excellence in their products, employees and customer service. They are open, honest and truly listen to your needs and ideas, while adding helpful suggestions. I got bids from 3 window companies and Save Energy easily rose to the top. The owner, John Gorman came to double check all of the measurements, which I appreciated. The installation crew Luis, Eduardo and Anoha were respectful, conscientious, focused and took great pride in their work. I would highly recommend them and LOVE my new windows.

After speaking with Tina and the owner, Bill, we were convinced that this was the firm to do our project. The price was very competitive and we were confident that Bill would not let us down. He called with an unexpected early installation date for which we were grateful. The work was completed in two days. The crew was polite, professional and kept the workplaces clean. Any questions we had were answered to our satisfaction. Our original windows had been poorly installed and the lead of the crew made certain that this installation was proper and no leaks of air or water would develop. It was thought that a crew of 5 could finish in one day; however, with the custom installations as well as the two patio doors, it became clear that a crew of two would need to come back the next day. That took place and the two man crew spend most of the day making certain that all detailing was properly done. They took away all material and did a fine clean up. We highly recommend you use this firm for your window replacement needs.
Description of Work: We had 5 large windows and two large patio doors replaced with Symington glass. Two of the installations were as new and the other three as direct replacement. The original installation was improperly done many years ago and Save Energy's crew made certain that this installation was done up to standards. They made certain that proper sealing and seating took place.

Last year I had my slider replaced. I was unsure how I wanted the interior trim finished out, so Save Energy said that when I decided they would come back. I decided on the trim and also needed them to inspect a loose board on the slider installation (Save Energy gives a year warranty on their work ). I called and got John Gorman the owner! He said "No problem" on doing the trim or on replacing/fixing the loose board. Based on this and my good experience with them last year, I decided to replace the remaining 4 single pane, 30 year old windows in my condo. They were a retrofit with Milgard windows. Tina did my estimate (she's very responsive and answers any questions) and John came out to inspect the loose board, finalize the measurements and talk about the trim on the slider. John and Tina are great. I ordered the windows, they came in 3 days ahead of time and my windows were installed in one day, just in time for the first rain storm. From start to finish it took two weeks. The Save Energy installers, Miguel (?) and Oscar, arrived on time and didn't waste any time getting unloaded and to work. They were neat, cleaned up after themselves (even swept up saw dust in the parking lot where Miguel had to cut trim boards!). Miguel did a wonderful job trimming out the sliding glass door, which was difficult due to the shutters. I recommend Save Energy Co. and if I had more windows to replace, would use them again.
Description of Work: I had a one year "inspection of work" performed on a sliding glass door they put in a year ago and had the balance of my windows replaced in my condo.

As I said above, everyone we dealt with was extremely helpful, professional and personable. The window installer did an excellent job, and was neat and thorough. Mr. Gorman, the owner, checked in with us afterward to make sure we were satisfied with their work. The entire experience was positive. We will definitely use them again!
Description of Work: We used this company to replace a window in our bathroom. The owner of the company, John Gorman, came to our home on a weekend (outside normal business hours) to give us an estimate for the job. He was extremely professional and personable. The installer who came to the house to complete the work of taking out the old window and replacing it with the new one was just as professional and personable and did an excellent job. We received lots of information about the window and its warranty. Furthermore, Mr. Gorman followed up with an email to ensure that we were satisfied with the work done. I highly recommend this company and look forward to using their services in the future!

I spent about $3500 for their services. I got a quote from them first and it took a long time for the windows to come in. So, the work wasn’t done till December or January. I got about three quotes. It looked like Save Energy Co had been in business for a while and they specialized in windows. The other guy from whom I got a quote from was a carpenter as well, but I wanted to go strictly with a window company. That was one of the determined factors as to why I chose Save Energy Co. Their price was about average. I don’t think it was the lowest or the highest. They were right in the middle on the price. The final job was good. My complaint would be that there was a mix up in the rebate that was supposed to be available. They gave me incorrect information regarding the rebates and the dates necessary for that. I initially missed the deadline and I would not have been able to get those credits to the tune of about $300 or $400. We had a lot of communication back and forth. I was expressing my displeasure and their immediate response was not one that pleased me. They said that it was my fault since I took too long to order the windows and several things like that, which was different information than I was originally given by the company. So, we did have a miscommunication on that which they initially handled poorly. In the course of pursuing this, another gentleman from the company took over the project again and basically settled it to my satisfaction. However, the initial response from them was wrong information and they were not willing to make up for that loss. The work itself was okay, but there were delays in the ordering which could have been their fault or could have been nobody’s fault. We never did determine where the break down in the ordering was and why it took so long to get the windows, which is what jeopardized the rebates. So, the whole process was moderate for me. The installation, windows and the work seemed okay. The other parts of it like the scheduling and the rebates were not satisfactory initially. They did finally make it up in the end, but it was only after I really pushed through for days and weeks through e-mails and phone calls. Their punctuality was okay for the actual work done when they were here for the project. Their professionalism included several things like the actual installation, scheduling, paper work and the whole nine yards. I would probably not use their services again.

There were some miscommunication errors, but the work was very good. We were working with three or four different people, and in my opinion we should have worked with only one person. The work started in December and ended in March. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. The finished product was very good. I would recommend them.

All services went quite smoothly, from the initial sale to the final installation. I had several occasions to speak personally with the owner of the company. He was always forthright, honest and responsive, and applied discounts wherever possible. The installation crew (of three) was courteous and pleasant, although they left a few minor messes around the house. I'm not sure if it was their responsibility to reattach the brackets they had removed, which previously held up blinds on the windows, but they agreed to do that. (It took them a lot less time than it would have taken me!) The work was done on schedule. There were no unpleasant surprises, and the windows took less than a full day to install. They look great and I'm quite happy with the job overall.
Description of Work: Seven windows were installed, all on the ground floor of my house. The windows were mostly all the same size, except for a large picture window in the living room.

We found Save Energy right here on Angie's List and after getting estimates from them and 2 other places we decided to go with them. Out of the 3 sales guys the Save Energy guy was the least engaging, asked the fewest questions and didn't really "pitch" us exactly. He also didn't make a couple of style suggestions (in terms of getting the windows to match the others in our house) and didn't mention whether we'd need permits. That said, the written estimate was clear and arrived quickly and told us everything we needed to know. The actual owner guy on the phone, and who came over to do the real measure of the windows was great, very personable and helpful with answering questions. He went over the info really well and then the office staff who I had to talk to for booking the actual install was great too. So the sales guy was the least satisfying part. On the day of the install the installers showed up on time, got right to work, were polite and were careful of my carpets. No complaints there. We've only had the windows for a few weeks, but they are beautiful, much quietere and we are happy with the whole experience. When we instaff new windows for the rest of the house we'll use Save Energy again.

I took a little while because some of the ordering took a bit longer, but it went great. They were really good and I would use them again. I highly recommend them. I called and they sent someone to come out the next day. Someone came out the following day to remeasure everything. We ended up adding another window. It started as one windows and became four windows and a door. They were excellent. They came when they said they would come and the crew that came to do the work cleaned up after themselves.

Great! Honest, straight forward estimate. Provided estimate at the time of initial visit. I felt that I could trust them to do the job for a reasonable price. The window we purchased is very high quality, energy efficiant window (with a tax rebate) and the installation took about 2 hours. Great company.

I actually bought the windows from Costco, but SaveEnergy was the contracted installer. The entire transaction except for the online payment went through SaveEnergy. John was pleasantly persistent in assisting me with alternatives to the expensive fiberglass windows and we are very happy with the vinyl at about half the cost. Installation was excellent, prompt and professional and clean like no one was ever here after they left. (Except for the beautiful windows, we love them!)
Description of Work: We have an old Victorian home where someone had removed a triple sash window set and replaced it with a large 1970's aluminum picture window. It was in poor condition and out of style for the house. I wanted to replace it with the original triple sash. SaveEnergy put together a custom rebuild at an extremely affordable price.

After working with a previous company that was not able to provide the product that we wanted, I decided I had enough experience with our local building dept to to pull the window replacement permit myself and save $125. I needed Save Energy's assistance with the precise spec's and diagrams in order to complete the package. After 2 1/2 months of not being able to get the information I needed, I gave up on my quest with the Save Energy staff in mid-August and asked that they pull the permit themselves and not charge us the $125. They agreed. Once the permit was approved about a month later (3rd week of Sept), a series of delays, ordering mistakes, and scheduling conflicts led to the windows not being installed until just before Christmas, about 7 weeks later than promised. Once the crews were at our home installing the windows, they realized that two of the windows were mis-ordered so they had to come back in late-January to install those. THEN, one of the two windows did not fit properly, so they had come back yet again. Needless to say, we were unhappy, especially because these delays caused delays to a major landscaping project we had to continually delay, as well as the inconveniences. But I have to say that through all of the bumbling, they were courteous and continually tried, and eventually succeeded, to fix their mistakes. Based on our 7 month experience with Save Energy, they are an honest company and competitively priced. If one is patient with delays and errors, and is willing to do more project management than they would do otherwise, they may not be a bad choice.

All members of the service team, from initial intake through measuring an actual installation of the windows, were pleasant, knowledgeable, punctual, neat, and good humored. Everyone was very alert to my pets and small child while they were working and ensured their safety. I was fortunate enough to contact this company during a special sale, so I got a very good price for my windows. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. The only thing that would have made my experience better was if they could have painted the facings they needed to install on some of the windows.
Description of Work: 8 new windows were installed in my home. All old windows were removed and debris was hauled away. New windows were beautifully caulked and cleaned, and the house was vacuumed upon completion of work. All work was entirely completed in less than 7 hours of 1 day!
