The company was attentive to the guidelines required by the historic district in replacing windows. They sent a letter in advance explaining how the work would proceed. I have never experienced that kind of friendly and informative communication on any home repairs I have had. The workers were courteous, neat, and punctual.

The process was excellent. Job site was checked out twice before installation. The windows fit perfectly and look great. The installers were very courteous, prompt and cleaned up after themselves. It was a joy to work with such a well organized company.

I had all of my glazing (windows and sliding doors) replaced this summer by Save Energy. This is a great local company that truly puts the customer first. Every aspect of the project was expertly executed. The entire team was professional, courteous, prompt and flexible. They cleaned up the worksite completely each day. Shout outs to Tina Riley, Kevin Lee and the guys on the install team. The pricing was fair, communication was great and I could not be happier. I will highly recommend Save Energy to all my friends.

Save Energy Company wasted many hours of my time. They met me for an initial measure, provided a quote for the work and then needed two additional meetings for various measurements. We reviewed everything and determined everything would work. Save Energy Company subsequently decided the work needing to be completed was too complicated, despite the fact that they previously provided a quote and measured everything to ensure it would work. I would recommend avoiding working with this company.

Save Energy was excellent. Their office kept me up to date on scheduling, and the crew arrived on time with all my custom windows. The installation went very well and the Windows look fantastic! Even all caulking and sealing was neat and clean. I'd recommend them highly!

From our first meeting with Jim O'Grady of sales in our home, to our meeting with the owner John Gorman and staff (Kevin) in the showroom in Petaluma, to the arrival of the crew of 6 at our home some 4-5 weeks later lfor the scheduled installation, every contact was friendly and easy, just what we would want and need especially for a major project such as this one. In 2 days, the crew removed all of the 28 single-glazed windows in our older home replacing them with high quality vinyl windows. We were able to keep to the 50's style of our home which included 8 large 'picture windows' one of which had to be of tempered glass. The crew was notably efficient and quiet as they worked (so that we could even be in the home as needed during the installation), and they cleaned up thoroughly at the end. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of the product and the work. We did a walk-through with the crew boss who answered all of our questions. The whole process seemed miraculous to us considering the scope of the job. They were in and out of our home with minimal disturbance or mess. All we had to do afterward was replace window coverings and admire our new windows. A very easy and pleasant experience, start to finish. We very highly recommend the Save Energy Co. in Petaluma for windows.

Wonderful. They did a great job and were very professional. Then 3 months after the door had been replaced my husband walked right thru the screen. On a whim I called save energy company and they said that the screen should be covered under warranty. They ordered the new screen and had it shipped directly to me at no cost. I cannot be more pleased. They are easy to work with and professional. Highly recommend

This company was flawless from start to finish. Receptionist were always available during working hours, Tina Riley was the sales rep who came by for the initial consultation. She explained everything very well and helped us out with the design. A very professional, knowledgeable and great lady. With a discount for booking early, her estimate came in way cheaper than our local glass/window shop. After deciding on this company, the owner Jon came out and did measurements and took the deposit. Here is where the real magic happened: a couple of other vendors had told me that we would have to remove our shades and possibly get new one because the brackets would pushed out by the new windows. Jon came up with an idea to spare the shades, which involved setting the windows further back in the frame and adding trim to the outside. On install day, Jamie and Luis arrived 10 minutes early. These guys were great! We left to run some errands, and when we came back a few hours later, our jaws dropped to the floor. They were almost done, the windows were in place, and they looked so stunning, largely due to Jon's brilliant idea of setting the windows back in the frame, which ended up highlighting the original moulding. I also had a screen door that I'd ordered from home depot months prior, and the guys went ahead and threw that up on the hinges for me as a bonus... a side project that probably would have taken me all day! Apart from the great experience with this company, the windows themselves are amazing. They are Simonton windows and apparently have a lifetime guarantee (!!). They stay cool all day, and now we can leave them open to let in fresh air in the mornings and the evenings. I came home one evening this week, and the whole house was filled with the scent of the night blooming flowers in my garden. Our house is staying much cooler and the air conditioner is working better. A great investment! I'm so glad to have had this experience. As a new homeowner (and a single female), I've been having trouble with shady and flaky contractors, sexist $!@holes a the city permitting office, and a growing sense of distrust and unease. I wish all contractors had this much integrity.

Pros: Crew was professional. The job was done well. Work was completed within time agreed. And for price agreed upon. Cons: First quote was incorrect, which we agreed upon. The second quote was twice as much. I believe it was confusion not a intentional misquote. The second quote was still far better than any other quote we received. One screen for windows was received a month after job was done.

Jim O'Grady came out and showed us two windows: the Simonton Daylight Max and the Milgard Styeline as possible replacement windows. He explained the replacement window process, answered questions and found out what we were looking for. He subsequently gave us a quote for the two windows we knew we wanted, and also added optional estimates for a door and another window we were considering. I went to their showroom in Petaluma where Bridgette (I think that was her name) spent a good hour showing me more details about the windows, the screens and the locks and further explained the replacement-window installation process. This was super nice as I didn't have an appointment. I had follow up questions for Jim, and he was very responsive, getting answers to help me better understand what windows I would be getting, and their features. I was considering both the Simonton windows and Anlin windows, from a different installer. Based upon on-line reviews and JD Powers reports, I ultimately decided on the Simonton. I then got a quote from a big box retailer who also installs the Simonton. Their price was a bit better than Save Energy's. I noticed that Save Energy had a price match guarantee so I contacted Jim to ask. They agreed to match it. I was happy, as my preference was to use a local firm rather than the big box. John Gorman came out to take the final window measurements on January 21st, and he said I could expect the window installation would happen mid-February. It turns out the windows came in quickly and the installation was scheduled for 2/4, a couple of days before the rains came. Miguel and Victor arrived on time at 8:30, and estimated it would take 3 or so hours. I was impressed that Miguel has been with the company for 17 years. They worked quickly, our windows came out easily (no breakage), and Miguel and Victor had the new windows installed in about 2 or 2-1/2 hours. They left everything clean. I was surprised at how quickly and seamlessly it went. The windows look great and everything seems well-sealed from air and water. We anticipate having other windows done, and I feel good about returning to Save Energy to have them handle it.

We decided on changing about seven windows and two patio doors before winter hits. Save Energy was quick to provide a quote (next day after measurements) which was in the range we had hoped. After signing the contract, the windows were ordered right and were ready to install within 3 weeks. John contacted us a week before arrival of the windows and was very gracious to send extra crew to finish the job within a day which was great as we have a toddler who hates any noise. The crew arrived on time and completed the job quickly. The whole experience was awesome and the windows/doors look great.

Jim O'Grady came to review the work and provide an estimate. He was both knowledgeable and very patient in explaining the many facets of replacement windows to me. Left relevant literature about the type of replacement window he recommended, which is the type I ultimately chose. After the nearly 1 hour we spent together, I was much better prepared to receive other bids. Unfortunately, this contractor's bid came in substantially higher than the lowest of three bids I received. In subsequent email correspondence Jim mentioned their price guarantee but the difference was sufficiently large that I was not optimistic that they would have been able to come through. I spent instead a lot of time vetting the low bidder who I ended up selecting and who did an excellent job. I have no reason to expect less than an equally excellent job from Save Energy. Not choosing them was a simple matter of a price difference too large to ignore. i would ask them for a bid again on a future job.

The whole experience went very well, from the estimate to the completion of the work. I obtained three vinyl window estimates for the job - one from another window contractor and the other from a big box store, and this one was the least expensive. It also had a better quality window, in my opinion, the Simonton Daylight Max. The big box store's bid was for Simonton windows also, but for the model sold exclusively by the store, which I believe is a step below the Daylight Max in quality. The third bid was for Anlin vinyl windows, which I think is a good product. However, the windows have a larger, thicker frame and would have taken up more of the available glass space of my windows. After the order was placed with Save Energy, I thought I had to change the specifications to meet HOA requirements, and so I called John the owner to inquire about modifying the order. He was very helpful and told me that the order could be modified with no problems, just to let him know in a couple of days. Turns out the order did not need to be modified after all, and the installation work was done as scheduled. His workers were very pleasant, fast and neat, and the installation went off without a hitch on their part. It turns out I had unexpected dry rot around the patio door frame, which I will have to take care of separately, so the workers temporarily installed the door so that it could be easily removed when the dry rot work is eventually done. They went over the entire problem and installation with me so that I understood what was going on and could explain it to my contractor. I found that during the entire process, everybody I dealt with were very pleasant and helpful. I definitely would recommend this company to my friends and neighbors.

We really enjoyed working with SaveEnergy. John took extra time to walk us through the entire process since we had no previous experience replacing windows in our house. In the end, we are very happy with the windows and our experience with SaveEnergy and will definitely use them again.

Solid estimate, timely job, 2 days clean up, quality.

I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in any of that kind of work. They were absolutely excellent. They were like the perfect contractor. They responded really quickly. They showed up with enough people to complete the work really quickly. They cleaned up after themselves perfectly and it is taking glass/windows out of the house, so there was like glass every where. They just left our house in really good shape. They were able to do our entire house in one day, it was like 30 windows. They were definitely not cheap, they are expensive but you totally get what you pay for. It is absolutely worth every cent and they warranty all of their products and their work. We have used them twice on two separate occasions for different things and both times it was the same experience, just really excellent pride and workmanship.

Overall the job went well and I would certainly use Save Energy again in the future. The bid was competitive and the staff were professional and friendly. They coordinated with the electrician to install a new light switch. The removal of the existing doors took a bit of work as the house is older (1930s), but they were able to complete the work within one day. This was my first experience in replacing patio doors with a name brand product (Anderson, Milguard, Marvin, etc.). Jim, the sales rep, did a great job of going over the pros and cons of the different products. He worked up several price quotes based on different wood types and stains. Jim and John both told me that the doors would take about 6 weeks from the day of order, and they did take about 6 weeks. When the doors arrived the install appointment was almost immediate. The crew arrived on time, got the work done quickly, and did a great clean up job. The down side was that we found that Anderson did not send a necessary piece for one of the screen doors - it took another several weeks for that to arrive. During the intervening time, some of the wood facing on the doors began to separate. Save Energy was able to repair that problem when they came to install the screen door. So, I am very pleased with the job done by Save Energy. Less pleased with the Anderson product.

Very good contractor. Good prices and quality of product

Everything went well. The company was responsive and quick to come out for an estimate, which was accurate and detailed. I didn't shop around too much because I'd read good reviews and their prices seemed to be reasonable for what I needed, which was pretty basic. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, which I really appreciated, and they had a good selection of privacy treatments on bath windows, so that was a plus. Everyone I dealt with was professional and thorough, and I appreciate the straightforward, uncomplicated customer service. I haven't yet lived in the cabin that I had the windows installed in, so I can't attest to the how they "live," but they look nice and work well, and it was a good experience overall.

Absolutely the best experience I've had with any contractor since I started restoring this old Edwardian. There were three bays street side with old windows that did nothing to stop cold air and street noise. The window replacement was complicated as the house is in a historical preservation district ant the design of the windows had to be acceptable to the review committee. Every step of the way was a joy, The gentleman who did the measurements and the installers felt like having family in the house - really comfortable to be around and polite. John Gorman was, by far, the best. He carefully monitored the project, was quickly responsive to my questions, he really made me feel as if he and I were on the same project. Totally satisfied with the job, the clean-up, and the entire experience. I now enjoy my view without the cold wind and the noise and my neighbors think the windows look great. Try them if you need anything - you will be glad you did!!!!

The project was completely painless. It was a genuine pleasure to work with such a straightforward, professional, and dependable company. I received 3 estimates and Save Energy was the most cost effective option by a couple of hundred dollars. I received a comprehensive education of the options, pro/cons, and process and felt equipped to make the right decision with respects to my project. In total, I had 3 appointments with staff from Save Energy and on all occasions they were prompt. The work was executed quietly, expediently, and expertly. The installation team took tremendous efforts to protect my hardwood floors, carpet, and walls. There was absolutely no evidence of anyone being in my home after the job was completed. Lastly, the end product was simply beautiful. I couldn't be happier with the results; they are nothing short of transformative. I would highly recommend this company for their integrity, workmanship, pricing, and professionalism.

The experience was outstanding all the way around. It was a number one company and I couldn't be happier with them. Everything was good about them. They knew what they were doing. I couldn't have been happier with every aspect of the job. I searched around everywhere for the price and they beat out everybody. I just recommended them to a friend of mine for windows all in their home.

They were great. The crew was really good. They came out with everything. A bit late to getting the window in stock but wasnt their fault. Happy with the service.
