Service was great! Five Star noticed that the company that recently installed rain gutters on my house did not inform me that there was fungus growing on my roof trim wood. Five Star was a great advocate for me to get the rain gutter company to remove the gutters and allow the wood to be replaced and painted (at no cost to me). This was a tremendous benefit. My house looks great, and it stands out above the other homes in my neighborhood. Staff were very courteous and professional.

It went exceptionally well. Willie and his team were in quickly and efficiently and out as quickly as possible. No delays.

They were very professional with calling and making an appointment for an in home estimate and said they would email said estimate later that day or the next and they never did. I tried reaching out to ask but they hang up.

They came to do the estimate and everything was great ,Andrew was very professional in person. Well I'm still waiting to receive the estimate and its been over a month. I called and they said they'd get that right over.... I'm still waiting. it's been over a week now. I took a day off to wait for this estimate and now I feel like it was a waste of my time and I'm back to square one.

Everything looks very clean and was done quickly, and promptly. The color matching on the paint was a bit further off than we would have liked, so if color match is critical, be sure to give extra time and samples to get it right. Would probably hire again.

The job was supposed to take a few weeks, but wasn't finished until almost a year later. The father (Willie) is trying transition the business to his son (Andrew), who is nowhere near half as knowledgeable about this business. They practically had to rebuild the patio because the guy didn't shore up the patio when he started the wood work so the entire structure shifted when he started removing planks. Replacement wood was not cut even, so they tried to hide the huge spaces with filler. Didn't work, so they had to replace the wood that they had already replaced, then tried to hide what needed to be done by putting on primer to cover the entire structure, despite my repeated requests that they not, so we couldn't see what still needed to be repaired. Fortunately, we took pictures off all the issues and knew what areas needed correction. They used the wrong type of paint on the siding, so it all began to peel off after a couple of days. They had the paint tested and found that the son used paint that was too strong for the structure so it just pulled all the prior layers of paint off, rather than sealing to it. Because of this, they had to sand and repaint all the siding. Numerous areas were not painted, and they kept saying this would be taken care of during the final walk through. Workers broke tiles on the roof. All of the damage, unpainted areas, issues with the uneven wood slats, everything that went wrong, if we didn't tell the owner, their workers did not report, so we had to keep a close eye on everything to point out incomplete work, issues, incorrect work. They painted the front door on the fourth or fifth day of painting, didn't bother to wipe it down, sand it, nothing. The paint, of course, peeled off. They came back to sand and redo it, but didn't put up plastic sheeting, so the paint dust went all into the house. They had to pay for furniture, floor, and stair cleaning to get up all the paint dust that was literally everywhere. Some of the delays were due to weather, since the job ended taking so long for them to finish and the rainy season came. Other delays were due to them just not calling or coming back. We were in the process of hiring another painter to finish the job and correct all of the problems when they finally called again. The owner made lots of excuses, the son checked out of the process all together once the problems and defects started to mount, the workers didn't have oversight, as we were told in the beginning that they would, so there were lots and lots of errors, issues, and problems. The son could not professionally navigate all of the issues caused by him and his workers. Did not expect to have to literally micro manage and watch so closely to all the detail due to the lack of integrity in the work being performed. We literally had to closely inspect all the work at each step, otherwise there would have been many defects left, including all the siding paint that just pealed right off. Refused to pay them until the job was sufficiently and completely finished to the professional standard they promised in the original contract. They also promised to leave touch up paint as part of the job, but I knew once they were paid in full that we would never see or hear from them again, and we haven't. Would not recommend this company. All of the attached pictures were taken after they said the work was "done" (except for the ones with primer where they were trying to hide the deficiencies after I specifically asked for no primer or paint on the wood patio until I could see that all of the repairs and re-repairs were completed correctly). They were only supposed to repair about 6 slats on the patio, but because of the errors made by their workers, and their sub-par attempts to use putty to fill in major gaps caused by incorrect wood cutting, they practically built a new patio, considering all the wood replacements, and re-replacements. they didn't expect that we would climb the ladder and look out the upstairs windows to see all the errors and flaws they tried to leave on top of the patio structure as well. It was a nightmare job.

Andrew provided us with a quality job using top of the line paint for our home. The process went very well, and his crew where very professional. If you want a good job, with great results, I would recommend Five Star Painting to do your next painting job.

Estimator met me at property on Monday, took measurements and details of work desired, concluding with a commitment to email me the completed estimate the next day, Tuesday. After not receiving the emailed estimate I reached out the estimator to confirm he had the right contact information, He apologized saying he would get it to me by the next day; I requested that he phone me to confirm whether the estimate was sent "or not". He agreed to do so. I am posting this review late Friday afternoon after never again hearing from the estimator nor receiving an emailed estimate. The failure of this first contact experience with the Five Star Painting representative tells me a lot about what to expect from that company. THEIR WORD CAN'T BE TRUSTED. So go forward with them at your own risk but when a service providers makes a bad first impression I am very wary of what to expect for anything thereafter.

It went very well until I found out after they put their trash in the wrong container. When I went to take out my trash the yard waste last packed with food trash and tape and paper used to seal the windows. I had to transfer that trash into the the recycling container.

I thought the price was a little high based on other quotes, and there was an issue with cleanup which I went over with the representative overall I am very pleased with the results and would recommend them to friends. If I can get a better price on interior painting I may consider them later this year or early next year

Everything went extraordinarily well. Alberto did an excellent job on the drywall on Thursday and Friday and Ricardo and Chico did the painting from Monday through Saturday. Even repainted the iron bannister and rail in oil based for sheen and durability. I am very pleased. The men cleaned up each day and never left a mess. They did little extra things that made you feel you got your money’s worth. Willie Plaza, the owner, was very helpful and cooperative; made excellent suggestions and checked up on the job. He doesn’t miss anything. My wife and I are very satisfied. Chico and Ricardo even helped with the big screen TVs and bulky furniture. They were great.

It went okay. The end result looks nice, but there were some difficulties with spots that were missed. It took awhile for them to come back out to finish the areas that were overlooked.

They had to come back and do the trim again. They did not prep it right. The price was really good.

Everything went smoothly and on schedule. They explained every step of the process and cleaned up at the end of every day.

Very well. They did what they said they would and within the time they promised. It could not have gone more smoothly.

Replacing the sink went fine, and I liked the men who did that work, who included the company owner. However, the men who refinished the cabinets stole items from the kitchen and bathroom, and they unscrewed one screw from each of seven electrical switch plates throughout the house. They also did a sloppy job of refinishing the weight-bearing post in the kitchen, which they had overlooked until I pointed it out. I would only hire this company again if I knew that the company owner was using a different crew.

The company owner, Willie, and his most professional installer, Armando, installed the kitchen sink and faucet, and their work was wonderful; in fact, if that were all there was to the story, I would have given them an A. (Armando also skillfully repaired a plumbing fixture in the bathroom.) The problem lay with the two men who refinished the kitchen cabinets, Adrian and Israel. They knew what they were doing, but they stole from me and did some malicious mischief. Specifically, stole a pretty abalone shell my sister had brought me from New Zealand, and they stole a piece of cut glass from a china cabinet. The malicious mischief consisted of removing the screws from six of the light plate switches throughout the house and failing to screw in fifteen or so of the screws that held the cabinet doors in place.
