We had a leak and our floor specialist thought he found mold, so we immediately called Jason. He came out and not only tested for mold, but took a sample for asbestos, because we had a rather unusual looking growth on the floor board. Thankfully, we had neither, which was a great relief, and Jason worked with us on the price to give us the best deal possible. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and we're very glad Jason recommended the asbestos testing as well. Also, this is the second time we've used Same Day, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

My newly installed Air Conditioning unit has a very strong musty smell and I was concerned about a mold problem. I called Same Day Mold Testing on a Saturday and spoke with Jason. Jason arrived 3 hours later at my home and carefully inspected every room, kitchen and bathrooms. He took an air sample before the A/C was running, and another with the A/C running, and one sample of the outside air. His inspection did not indicate a mold problem and I have just received the results of the air samples and they are also negative. This makes sense because the smell was not there with the old A/C. His price was very reasonable and he spent the time to do a complete evaluation. I find Jason to be a very thorough and honest person. The results of the air samples came as promised and Jason is a very cordial and pleasant person that I can recommend to everyone.

I thought they did a good job. They were rather overinclusive in the problem areas they identified, but I suppose that is expected because they need to protect themselves. All inspectors do that (whether they are general home inspectors, mold inspectors, anything). I thought they did a good job giving me a realistic assessment of how big the potential problem areas were, which was that they were not a big deal, but I went ahead and ordered the tests anyway for peace of mind. I liked them and would use them again.

A roof leak caused minor damage to a closet ceiling in the office of my home. Because of the musky ordor emitting from the closet, we suspected the presence of mold so we hired Same Day Mold Testing (SDMT) to peform an inspection and take air samples for analysis. Since the inspection includes the entire house, we had SDMT conduct an inspection of areas where we thought mold might be present. During this inspection, we discovered a leaking pipe under the sink in the master bedroom. Jason was very professional and through in conducting his inspection. During our initial phone call, he outlined the services that he performs and the costs involved. There were no surprises. It was refreshing to do business with someone who is honest and forthright.

The whole project went as well as can be expected, given that no one wants a mold problem, but Jason makes sure it gets handled.

Jason came out on very short notice to take a few samples during our mold remediation, which was great. He was polite, courteous, the price was competitive, and he had the lab results available to us the next day. I would have given Jason/Same Day an 'A' for service, if it weren't for the fact that Jason called and emailed me on multiple occassions to leave an Angie's list review. I explained to him that I would leave a review, but that I was busy with work, so I would get to it when I could. He then left me two more voicemails about it and seemed irritated in yet another follow-up email re it that I hadn't left the review. Jason's work was good, but I would recommend to him that he not harass customers about reviews. Most people are extremely busy, but if they are part of the Angie's community, are very cognizant of the importance of reviews and are more than willing to write them when they have the time.

Jason came out on a Sunday, and was very punctual and professional. He gave us good advice, recommending what he thought we needed. He explained how he tested for mold, and what the result would tell us. He clearly explained that he does not remove the mold, only the "remediation", meaning ascertaining the presence of mold. Before he tested he recommended closing the few holes we have in our floor, for coaxial cables, and such. We got the test results in less than a week, with a clean bill of health. As we have not smelled the ordor, since I meticulously closed the holes in the floor, it appears we were smelling the stale and musty air from beneath our 1954 home.

Jason was amenable to coming out same day to both locations since it was in his schedule anyway. He was quick and thorough, and followed through with the results in a timely manner.

I phoned Jason when my mold problem began and he explained to me that he did testing only -- not remediation, mold removal or cleanup. I as concerned with how much I was spending overall on my mold remediation project. He explained that it's useful to have an independent professional do the testing so that there is no conflict of interest in terms of how much work is recommended after the test. Though I agreed with him, I still decided to go with the in-house tester of the remediation company I worked with, because it was basically included in the cost of the remediation. However, at the end of the remediation work, the air must be tested again and in that sense even the company I was working with insisted that I use a third-party company (so it could never be said they tampered with the results). They recommended someone to me, but simultaneous to that Jason phoned me to follow up and check-in. When I told him where I was at, he offered me a very competitive rate for the follow-up testing -- a good 30% less than what the other company was asking. I jumped at it because I realized I had to buy this test one way or the other and he was offering me a great price. He arrived punctually to do the tests, was extremely courteous and clear from start to finish, and then emailed a very readable and thorough scientific report (in layman's language) so I knew exactly what the results were. I was extremely pleased with his services and would use him again.

I CALLED TO INQUIRE ABOUT CONDUCTING AN INSPECTION FOR THE PURCHASE OF A CONDO, ON A PORTION OF A HOUSE THAT PREVIOUSLY HAD WATER DAMAGE. INSPECTOR JASON HARRIS WAS CLEAR AND CONCISE DURING MY PHONE INQUIRY REGARDING THE INSPECTION AND ESTIMATE. DURING THE INSPECTION HE EXPLAINED TO ME WHAT HIS ACTIONS AND HIS RECOMMENDATIONS IN A PATIENT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. POST-INSPECTION, HE PROVIDED A REPORT SUMMARIZING THE INSPECTION ON THE SAME DAY. THE EXPERIENCE OVERALL WAS REALLY POSITIVE AND I AM REQUESTING HIS SERVICES FOR THE WATER DAMAGE AT MY CURRENT RESIDENCE. PLEASE CONTINUE THE GREAT SERVICE!

My next door neighbors in my condo complex had a water leak that they did not repair for a long time, which caused mold to start growing. I could smell it in my kitchen, which shares a wall with my neighbors where the water was leaking in their home. I knew that I needed to get a mold test to see if it was something I could eradicate myself or if it was a more dangerous type of mold. I got 3 estimates for doing the mold testing and Harris Environmental's estimate was considerably lower than the other 2, so I decided to go with them. Jason was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and understood my budget constraints and also helped me make a good decision about how many samples to take to get the most accurate result without busting my budget. He also called me a little earlier than our scheduled appointment time to see if we could do the appointment a little early (that doesn't happen very often!). I got the results of the mold testing within a week. He sent them via email with a cover letter that explained in laymen's terms what the lab results meant. He also followed up with phone calls to make sure we received and understood the reports. Overall, Jason is a very professional person and was a pleasure to work with.
