The appointment went well but the quoted price seemed extremely high. After receiving a lower proposal I decided to use a different company.

Steven's Tree Service did an outstanding job. Not only were they efficient (completing all of the above in less than a full day), they were very tidy. They completely cleaned up all the branches/debris and took it away. I was very pleased with thier work and would gladly hire them again.

Contacted company to schedule an appointment for an estimate an appointment was scheduled however no one showed up and did not receive any kind of call to either confirm or reschedule.

They are a classy operation; they have a lot of equipment. They take care of everything. They are cheaper than most providers. When I call to make an appointment the arborists will come out at the scheduled day and time and give me a quote right on the spot. If I apporve it, they schedule the service right there which i I like

I will say up front that I am quite pleased with the job that they did. This was no small job. This tree had a trunk over 3 feet in diameter at the base, and huge branches covering my entire front yard. If done improperly, falling pieces could have easily damaged my or my neighbor's house. Their crew showed up on time, cut the tree down, taking care to not damage my lawn sprinkler system, as I asked. They cut quite a bit of the smaller limbs up in firewood-sized pieces which they carefully stacked behind my house, and carted off all the rest. I had asked that they grind the stump down to 6" below the ground level. They did that and more, removing the stump with their stump grinding machine to at least a foot below grade. They cleaned up all the debris and left my front yard very clean. From start to finish, they where here for 4 hours. The foreman and the crew were courteous and had a great attitude. I would recommend them to anyone, and would hire them again in a minute. The price I paid, was the price I had been quoted the week before. There was no "bait and switch" or hidden extra charges.

I contacted Steven's Tree Service and they set up an appointment for an estimate a couple of days in the future. Ray was right on time...he was actually there a bit early. He was very knowledgeable and explained that there are severe restrictions on what can be done with California Live Oak trees because they are a protected species. Another bidder gave me the same information in this regard. I felt very good about their written proposal but opted to go with another company whose bid was about $150 lower. However, I would contact Steven's Tree again in the future if the need arises.

There were some limbs that were hanging over that were dangerous and the city of LA would not come out to do the job. I had Steven's Tree Experts come out and they did a very good job for me. They did a complete trim of this tree for me.They gave me a reasonible price. I would highly recommend them and use them again in the future.

I used this firm in January and they did a great job and helped our large tree in the back become healthy again by lowering the berm surrounding the trunk. Last week I noticed that one of our other trees looked really bad so I called them again and Felipe came out for a diagnostic consult. He said we should try to save the tree (didn't try to sell me a new one) and we made an appointment for today so he could bring out what he needed. He also agreed to do the trimming of some other trees. Felipe arrived this morning and got right to work. He applied the liquid fungicide and said to wait anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to see if the tree will return to a healthy state. If not, we will have to remove it. Felipe is courteous and knowledgeable. My 89 year old (will be 90 in a month) Mom who loves her garden was working in the front flowerbeds and she began to tire, so Felipe's helper, Efrain cleaned up all the weeds and dead flowers my Mom had pulled. Really thoughtful and nice. The price is competitive and their work and attitude are great. I will continue to call them when I need this kind of work performed.

He and his crew did a great job. My neighbor also ended up using them.

I used another firm that I found on Angie's List for the last two years and while I was satisfied, I thought that this year I would try someone else. I called two firms and they both out to give me an estimate. Both of them were prompt and courteous and seemed knowledgable. Both of them pointed out an issue with the California Oak tree in the backyard and both suggested the same remedy. I chose the more expensive firm. We settled on a date and time. They were 30 minutes late but apologetic about it. It was a two man crew, with one guy trimming and the other guy cleaning up. They worked for almost 4 hours, very quiet and steady. They did not use power tools. The trees look beautiful. They are well-shaped and have that lacy look. The arborist, Felipe said that more of the California Oak trunk needed to be exposed. The guys removed the flowers and enough soil to expose more of the trunk and then replanted the flowers. Still looks pretty and I hope the tree can be saved. They cleaned up really well and hauled it all off. They are a little more expensive than the others and were a half hour late, but the overall experience was very good. They did a wonderful job and I would use them again.

I am glad we did that because of the storms we have had. An arborist from Steven's Tree Experts comes and gives you information on the tree that you are questioning and explains what they are going to be doing. He gives you an estimate or tells you what they are going to charge for the service. It's done either later that day or the next day. The arborist didn't do it. The crew that came was thorough and they were as quiet as could be expected because they do shred the tree. Everything was clean. They were very good. We had trees that we had planted and the gentleman that came, his name was Henry, explained how to take care of them and gave me pointers on another tree but didn't charge me for that. We liked him because he explained what he was going to do. We had called them five years ago for another tree and they did a good job then, so we called them back a second time. They were very good. We would use them again in the future.

It went very good. They offered copies of their insurance and liability which was important to me because the tree that needed to be removed was in tricky position. They were covered and this made me feel comfortable.

Showed up on time, did a nice job. No problems to report. This is the 2nd time I have used this company.

Everything went perfectly. We have been using them for nearly five years, and they always show up on time for estimates and appointments. Their prices have been consistently the lowest.

Very well. Found the company through Angie's List. Called them; they came out promptly, gave us a written estimate, and seemed to know their business. We hired them, they came on time, did a really good job (some of our trees hadn't been trimmed in years and were dangerously top-heavy, and we are talking about some very large trees here), didn't crush any of the flowers that were blooming in the area under the trees, and cleaned up every bit of debris.

Called on a friday and scheduled an estimate for the following monday morning at 9am. I called them the day of the appointment at 10am to find out why they were 1 hour late. The woman on the phone told me that the appointment "slipped their mind" (not kidding!). I am blown away that a) in this day and age, this company can't keep its schedule straight, and b) that in an economy like this, they wouldn't be doing everything they can to earn business. LOUSY SERVICE!!

Better than expected. Every tree on the property was trimmed or pruned. Limbs removed as needed. Approximately 8 trees were removed. 2 were extremely large trees. A large, overgrown holly bush was removed. Estimated time frame was 2 to 3 days. The worked started on the scheduled start date and ended a day early.

I had just closed on a house.There was an overgrown chinese elm that was entagled in the power lines behind house. The elm was also hanging over the roof. The pine in the front yard. was to close to the house also. The palm had not been prunned in years. The pepper tree also needed to be prunned. They were very reasonable with pricing considering the scope of the work that had to be done.

Smoooooth as silk. For me when it comes to trimming a tree it's all open to interpretation since all trees are different. Seems we were on the same page. I want to lower the crown even more next year. (You can't remove too much the first time) We discussed where to cut next year. Cleaned up well. Good guys. Glad I used them.

I have quite a bit of trees. They specialize in making sure the trees grow in a proper manner so they don't break limbs off. They take pride in their work. They are priced great for what they do.

Felipe, the companies representative for our tree work, met with my wife and me a week before work was to begin and walked us through every facet of the work to be done. The workers came on time, were most courteous, skilled in their work, and very considerate of our home and gardens' needs. Felipe, met with our neighbors to explain his workers' needs and how they would protect the neighbors' properties. Steven's Tree Experts were thoroughly professional from the first estimate to the final clean-up. I most sincerely recommend their tree service to anyone in the Southern California area.

I have had a wonderful experience with Steven's Tree Experts. I continue to use them because they are good, responsive and the price is right. I give Steven's Tree Experts all A's. I will absolutely continue to use them in the future.

First, I was given an estimate and we chose a date for the job. The workers came and did their job. They left the wood chips for me to put on my garden. They cleaned up any mess before they left.
