Description of Work: I requested the job to be done not on Tuesday, but they arrived here anyway. In their defense, they did call me the day before to tell me they would be here on that Tuesday. I just didn't hear the call and was not able to respond. So they came and I wasn't here during the job. I had them come back to trim some more. The second crew did a great job and my huge sycamore now looks great!

Description of Work: Took a bit to get started. Responsiveness and followup on setting a date for the work took a bit of back and forth and there was some miscommunication. However once it was set up and confirmed everything went fine. The crew did a good job and clean up was also good. Trees are happier. One thing - make sure that you are watching what they are doing and confirm how far you want the trees trimmed back. I made the mistake of going in the house to cool off from the heat for about 10-15 minutes and my orange tree was SERIOUSLY trimmed back more than I had wanted. The tree looks good and is healthy but I would have liked it to have been a bit less. Shapes of all the trees trimmed was done well.

Description of Work: Again, my time was wasted by calling this contractor WHO IS NOT LICENSED or was not at the time of the estimate. This happens repeatedly with your list and that is why I am not renewing at this time. | |The man who came out for the estimate seemed professional, came promptly and the price he gave me was fair. BUT he gave me the name of another company once he was here. This is not Okay and you really need to check your listings much more carefully and these illegal contractors are often involved in other illegal activities and nobody wants crooks on their property!!!! | |The estimator later called me and I told him why I didn't hire them. He said there was no reason to get the license or insurance until they had the job. | |I had similar experiences that I reported by phone to your agents who don't seem to be at all concerned about the problem. You are nothing but a money grubbing operation imo and checking with the Better Business Bureau gives me the correct information I seek as well as the CSCLB! | |Everyone now knows about Angie's List that was reliable at one time but no more. These illegals get their friends and relatives to write glowing reports which are nothing but a pack of lies.

Description of Work: THEY DID NOT PERFORM THE SERVICES PROMISED AND PAID FOR. I PAID FOR THIS SERVICE APPROXIMATELY 2 MOTHS AGO AND THE SERVICE HAS NOT BEEN PERFORMED YET. I CALLED AT LEAST A DOZEN TIMES AND STILL NO RESULTS. APPOINTMENTS WERE MADE AND THEY NEVER SHOWED UP EACH TIME.

Description of Work: After purchasing the Angie's Deal I scheduled the estimate. First, they had no record of my Angie's Deal. Second at the scheduled estimate time I received a call to see if they could come later. Because I could not accommodate a later time they did the estimate but it felt quite rushed and almost inconsequential, as if he didn't really care about the job or what he was writing as an estimate. Most importantly, the estimate was literally more than twice the estimate of another company who has trimmed our trees before. I called Flintridge to discuss their estimate and they waited four days to call me back. The work had already been completed by my other company. I cannot imagine how this could possibly be an advantage or service to be an Angie's member, purchase a 'deal' only to realize the 'deal' is absorbed in an inflated price. Not only did it make me not want to use Flintridge, it makes me question Angie's List and it's promotions.

Description of Work: Trimmed 2 citrus trees & misc clean-up. Did a good job cleaning up our yard & neighbors yards.

Description of Work: A significant pair of tree and bush removal projects quickly and expertly handled. Price was reasonable for the work completed.

Description of Work: I was able to get an appointment within a day or two of my call; and the work started and finished the day after the estimate. Trimmed ten trees. Cleanup was excellent. Although I am no arborist, it seems the team made all the right cuts in all the right places. I am a satisfied customer.

Description of Work: I specifically asked them not to come on Tuesday - and so they did. They did call the night before, but I didn't see the call, so they surprised me in the a.m. I have a big sycamore tree. I had to call them back, because I wasn't happy with the shaping of the tree. Their customer service was really terrific and they came out immediately to adjust and shape the tree. This time I (and their rep) supervised and the tree looks great now! As I said, they were courteous and accommodating, however, as the customer, I feel I shouldn't have to tell them how to do their job!

Description of Work: The service was great. What I object to is I bought a coupon from your 'great deal' offers. It cost 200 bucks! Then the company comes in and inflates the price. You don't use the service then you're stuck. It's a rip off bait and switch.
