they came and verified what needed to be done and did it. 99% of the mess was cleaned up. they explained to me what they going to do

Stevens Tree Experts were very professional. They did a great job. They were highly professional and punctual. They were competent and they did an excellent clean up after the job was done.

You know-it was OK to start on the day of the service-I met the foreman and went over my list of trees. I explained the order of priority and showed him the extra cuts I wanted if they had time. He said they should be able to do it all. They cut a lot of stuff in the first 2-3 hours-but then they really slowed down and didn't get to everything on the list. I kept asking the very friendly foreman if they were on schedule to get it all done because after a full hour lunch break-they clearly had stopped cutting by about 1:45-and were doing final clean up at 2:30. I would have much rather had trees cut than had my yard raked in detail and leaves blown...I wouldn't have even posted my concerns here except for three reasons: 1) The foreman didn't ever contact me to tell me they wouldn't finish the list. 2) I sent a detailed note with my concerns with the foreman to Lance, who did my estimate and asked him to call me. They had time to cash my check but did not call me back. That was unprofessional. Since they didn't give me a chance to hear my concerns I have no other recourse but to share them here. 3) They dragged a lot of tree debris through a narrow pathway because it was a shorter route to their truck. Not a problem but they broke 2 flowerpots and tore one of my best strapelia plants out of the pot. They clearly noticed this because the two broken pots were stacked up neatly and the strapelia was set, roots up, on another pot. However they didn't TELL me they broke these items and I had to find them the next day. Not cool. In other words-communication. I like these people very much-but I don't think I can recommend them. $2500 is a lot for one day's work in this economy. I have used other companies that I prefer, and will go back to them in the future.

The crew came at the alloted time. Very prompt. They were very courteous, efficient, and great at the cleanup. The trees look great. They were very evenly thinned out without compromising look or structure of the trees.

After I contacted the company, they sent an arborist to my house to take a look at the tree and give me a quote. They were able to do this while I was at work, so I had a quote by the end of the day. The arborist did a simple trimming, thinning out the branches so that the tree got good air circulation. He also shaped it a little since someone had given it a bad cut and some of the branches were not growing correctly. There is a telephone line that runs straight through my tree, so they were able to cut around it so that none of the branches were touching the line.

He came out and gave us some very good advice on a damaged tree we had. They did trim two other trees, and the third one they could not because it was a pine, they gave me information about how to take care of my trees. The crew came out a couple days later and removed the tree and stump and they didn't mess up the yard. The yard was left very clean, they took all the debris and they had a reasonable price.

The estimator was able to come over within 15 minutes of calling because I'm located nearby. He was very pleasant, quickly evaluated the job and quoted me a reasonable price. They were able to perform the work two days later. A crew of five made short work of the project and cleaned up well afterward. The juniper was trimmed out very nicely without looking bare.

It rained the day before the work was scheduled and I waited twenty minutes after the expected arrival time to call Steven's. The person on the line assured me they were coming. I then called back an hour after the expected arrival time to discover I had to reschedule because they feared more rain. The night before the work was to occur they left a message trying to reschedule, but I was not at home so they showed up on time the next morning. I am glad I was there to supervise: they were confused as to which trees to cut. The removal crew worked quickly, and cleaned up fairly well. I had inquired twice about how deep the grinding of the stumps would be; I was told 18 inches by one person and 12 inches by another. The grinding work was done by a second crew and they ground only 6 inches below the surface. While the grass remained in OK condition overall, they did leave big dents in the lawn where the tree parts were thrown down.

They came out and were very professional and friendly. The only reason we didn't go with them is that we got a slightly lower estimate. Had that not been the case, I would have felt very comfortable going ahead with Steven's. Their estimate was not at all unreasonable.

Felipe arrived on the scheduled day with 3 other men in his crew. They tackled the work immediately and were finished with it in around 2 hours, working very quickly and efficiently. They were also very neat and completely cleaned up the yard.

They did an excellent job. They were very knowledgeable, prompt, and efficient. My yard was immaculate when they left. Their price was very competitive with the two other bids I received. They were very cooperative about providing proof of work comp/liability insurance before beginning the job. I will use them again.

Overall, we were very pleased with how this project turned out. The representative was on time for the initial visit, and also supplied an estimate at the initial visit. The workers showed up on time (they were actually a little early) on the day the work was scheduled. They pruned the trees professionally and artistically (instead of just hacking off branches). They had a chipper into which they fed all the branches and debris, so we didn't have to deal with getting rid of the stuff afterwards. They trimmed all the trees in one day. They left the yard and driveway clean, and they didn't break anything in the yard.

Excellent service. They actually arrived 5 minutes BEFORE, the three hour window they gave me. They were quick, efficient and left the area clean and neat.

They had a scheduled appointment with me. When they were a couple of hours late, I called and they said that they had some problems and could come in the afternoon. When I told them this did not work, they offered to reschedule. They should have called me to advise me of any delay.

The job was done on time and for the amount of the estimate, and the work was basically competent, but cleanup was less than perfect. Also, the workers punctured a window screen next to one of the work sites. I reported the damage but never heard back from the company.

I placed the service call early evening after business hours and received a call back at 7:30 a.m. the next morning. Stevens' rep scheduled a work estimate visit by 9:30 a.m. quoting price two prices; one for the branch removal and one for entire tree trimming. Mr. Henry also estimated when the work could be scheduled, which was ''most likely the following day''. When I arrived home from work that evening, the work had been completed -- a day early. The work order and agreement on price was done all over the phone. The branch was removed with minor damage done to surrounding trees and plants upon completion of job.

Very professional. The job was done on time. Good work. Price was very reasonable.

I LIKE THAT THEY PUT THE TREES UPRIGHT. THEY DID A GOOD JOB WITH WHAT I ASKED THEM TO DO. THEY DID A GOOD JOB WITH THE TRIMMING, TOO. I HAD LET THE TRELLISES GROW UNCONTROLLED FOR A FEW YEARS, AND THEY WERE OUT OF CONTROL. THEY TRIMMED IT ALL THE WAY BACK IN A WAY THAT LET THE PLANTS THRIVE AFTER THEY WERE DONE WITH IT. THEY LEFT THE YARD LOOKING NICE WHEN THEY LEFT.

HE DID A GREAT JOB PRUNING AND TREATING SEVERAL TREES IN OUR YARD. HE WAS PROFESSIONAL, CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF, AND WAS HERE WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD BE. THE PRICE WAS CLOSE TO WHAT HE SAID IT WOULD BE.

THEIR TREE TRIMMING SERVICES WERE VERY GOOD. THEY CLEANED UP EVERYTHING PERFECTLY. THEY HAD A CHIPPER HERE AS WELL. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB.

I REMODELED MY BACK YARD AND NEED SOME STUMPS REMOVED AND SOME SEEDLINGS PLANTED ALONG MY WALKWAY. THE COMPANY CAME IN G=REMOVED THE STUMPS AND HELPED ME SELECT THE BEST TREES FOR MY YARD.
