Description of Work: I needed carpeting installed and Carolyn was great to work with, I suppose they hire out because the two workers who came had a different name on their truck. They worked quickly and were nice. I only gave them a B for professionalism because after cutting the carpet in our shared parking garage there was a bit of a small mess of carpet strands everywhere which we ended up sweeping up ourselves, not that big a deal as they did a good job. After the carpet was installed we realized they made a mistake in one part so we called Carolyn and as luck would have it, they were in the area and came out right away to fix the mistake. They could have avoided making a second trip if they would have just called us on the phone to ask a question during installation, but anyway, the mistake got corrected in a timely manner. Overall service was good and I would use them again and recommend them to others. The original estimate was spot on, unlike the Home Depot who wanted to charge us double after measuring and they were much more expensive than Carousel, I would NOT recommend the Home Depot for ANYTHING!!!!

+ 0 moreI worked with Carolyn, who is very professional. She came out and measured the area. She provided me with as many samples as I needed. Once I decided on the color, we set a date that needed to coordinate with the delivery of my new appliances. They were great about coming out on the day I preferred. Two installers worked on the job for just over 1/2 day. They moved the old appliances out of the laundry room for me. They installed the new base mouldings I had purchased and painted (they cut them and installed them for me). Overall a pain free process. It was great working with a courteous, professional company. (footnote- late last summer I had asked Carousel for a quote to install carpet and hardwood -I went another direction and ended up regretting it. The carpet and wood floors were installed, but this was after much aggravation. I am sure this could have been avoided if I had gone with Carousel instead)
Description of Work: They removed 25+ year old vinyl in my small laundry/pantry area and replaced it with new linoleum

+ 0 moreI called and a representative came over the same day to measure and give me a quote. I stopped by the store a few days later to pick up the quote, along with a carpet sample that the representative had picked out based on our conversation about my preferences. The quote was very close in price to quotes given by other vendors, in fact, a little less. The carpet sample was just what I wanted, so I paid the deposit and placed the order. The carpet arrived several weeks earlier than expected. They scheduled installation right away. The installation took about 6-7 hours for all three bedrooms, including moving and replacing all the furniture. We are very happy with the results.

Description of Work: we decided to go another route with the flooring....but the help we got here was great. Marvin was not pressuring us and he was very helpful in explaining the different products. He even came out to the house to measure and give an estimate. After evaluating our budget and what we needed to accomplish, we had to decide against doing the job as planned. When we called to tell Marvin, he couldn't have been more professional.... We had a very positive experience with this business.

Description of Work: I called for an appointment for three days in the future. On the day of the appointment, the Carousel custom floors man did not arrive. I waited 25 minutes and called them, they claimed that there was no one else in the store, so they could not come! No call to let me know, offered to reschedule for several hours later. Hey, at least they were courteous. For what it is worth.

+ 0 moreI called Carosel after finding them on this list and explained what I needed. Jeff was exceptionally honest and said it would be better if I called his installer direct. He explained that he'd have to markup the cost and I'd get a better deal if I went to his installer for the work. I called Jose who responded immediately. He promised to call me today and come take a look. He did exactly as promised and I hired him to do the work. He and his helper spent several hours fixing the carpet in 3 bedrooms including re stretching and installing a new threshold between carpet and laminate hall flooring. He moved furniture in every room and put it all back as he found it. He left the rooms clean and all furniture was put back in its place. He did an excellent job and it was worth every penny. I truly appreciate Jeff's honesty and integrity and will not hesitate to go directly to Jeff at Carosel for my flooring needs. I will also highly recommend him to everyone. Thank you for your integrity and honesty and for recommending such a craftsman (Jose) who takes great pride in his work.

+ 0 moreI called them again about the hardwood floor work. They never called me back after they took the measurements. I then called them and told that it was not acceptable. So then they gave me the quote. I wanted to check with few other companies before I decided to go with anyone for the floors. They earlier did a small floor job for us. I had hardwood floor up to the door of the bathroom and I was able to match it with a vinyl floor that looked just like it. They did put in very nice sub flooring with a cement kind of a stuff which really sealed. I was happy with their work. I am not sure if I would use them again as they have not responded properly when I called for the hardwood floors.

+ -1 moreWhen I visited the store, Bob Foster was very helpful and let me take several samples home to make a decision. They have a large selection of vinyl and a "green" flooring called Marmoleum. After I made my decision, Bob came by my home to take measurements and gave me an estimate. Greg and Bill were the installers. They were very nice, knew their stuff, and were extremely professional. They removed 3 layers of old vinyl floor, leveled out some uneven spots, and installed the new floor in one day. The next day, Greg came back to put up new baseboards. It looks great and I couldn't be happier. I got estimates from other floor stores, and although Carousel was more expensive, it was worth it.

Description of Work: They helped us with custom carpets for every room in our home. The designer came to our home with samples, listened to our ideas, helped us make our decision without being pushy, and took the order all in the space of a few hours. Very friendly and efficient.

+ 0 moreVery well. We went over the options and floor samples in their shop. They provided samples to take home. Meet with their sales representative in the home to go over the details. She made some good suggestions. She faxed a quote. Meet with her in their shop to go over the details and leave a deposit for the work. The one variable was the condition of the subfloor which would effect the total cost and duration. This contingency was covered in the quote. Coordinated a date on the telephone. Their floor layer showed up right on time and got the job done.
Description of Work: Replace vinyl flooring in the bathroom with new linoleum flooring and wood baseboard in a historic house. The work included removing the old flooring and toilet, sealing the subfloor, installing the linoleum and baseboard, and installing a new toilet.
