Description of Work: We had a forced air-conditioner and heater added to our home. They were great in figuring out what was needed and explaining the details. They had an electrician they worked with, took care of the permits with the city, etc. My only concern was that they came back after the inspection to replace one of the lines with "something better." I didn't understand why they would do that AFTER the inspection! The unit seems to be working great.

The owner was great, but more importantly the people he actually sent to do the work were competent and careful, and cleaned up really well each day. They were reasonably quiet, respectful and didn't cause any collateral damage. That's a new one! This is a 100 year old home.
Description of Work: Completely gutted the old ducts, re-did ductwork and added another HVAC unit for upstairs. Re-mapped configuration to handle the two units. Changed location of original A/C unit outside. Made wiring safe.

 + -1 moreThough I was satisfied with the work done, I was outraged that this company charged me a $30 travel fee, especially since I selected it partly because it is 8.4 miles from my house. That fee, about which I was never notified -- just spotted it on the bill -- made up a quarter of our total bill. Turns out they charge the fee to all their customers, no matter the mileage. What is the alternative? Bringing the ducts and AC unit to their shop? To their credit, they said they would refund the fee as I had not been notified of it in advance (and I would have used another company if I HAD been notified), and I trust they will. Also, FYI, the company changed our initial appointment, and the technician did not show up within the window and did not call to say he would be late. Still, if it weren't for that fee, I'd use them again because the quality of the work WAS good.
Description of Work: Figured out that the duct leading to the one room that wasn't getting cool was obstructed by some bracing. Corrected problem.

 + -1 moreFrom start to finish, this company provided excellent service throughout. The company's owner/President, Larry Rodriguez, met with us to assess our current needs and offer various options. He seemed very knowledgeable and committed to getting the job done right. AirTech's administrative staff provided good communication each day, leading up to the project and throughout. The removal of the old system and installation of the new one, took about 3 days. The installers worked very fast and kept the work areas tidy. Everyone was courteous and competent. The team worked continuously until the job was completed. We had received estimates from three other companies we found on Angie's List. We chose Air-Tech, because their price was comparable to the others, they were available sooner than later and we felt we could trust Larry's word. Overall, we had a positive experience with the company. Our new system works great.
Description of Work: When our 29-year old A/C condenser burnt out, we decided to replace our entire A/C and furnace system. Air-Tech installed a new Bryant 15-seer condenser, new variable speed furnace, changed all existing registers to new type, installed new duct work and refrigeration lines, and everything else that goes into a modern A/C & heating system.
