They were very professional and pleasant to work with through the whole process. Scheduling was quick, as I was able to take advantage of a cancellation they had. I warned them on the phone that the area had pet stains and would probably need some extra attention. They came on time and did a very thorough cleaning, including moving the bed and furniture (I moved all the small items I could beforehand). The pet stains are very much improved and the carpet looks really good. G&G did tell me ahead of time on the phone that pet stains can easily soak into the pad and subfloor, and no carpet cleaning can get that out completely. I approved them coming and doing the best they could, understanding that they might not be able to get everything out. I can't say it looks like new (it is 20 years old, it really shouldn't look new), but I think the pet stains were worse than I suspected; they really did a very good job on it. They provided a discount for me as an Angie's List customer (the $225 reflects that discount).

Jim from G&G arrived during his scheduled window of time. He explained what he was going to do and then started to clean the runners one at a time and once finished with that he started to clean the one area rug in our dining room. He then proceeded to clean the upholstered chair in our living room that had some coffee spilled on it. The are rug and runners came out looking very clean and the chair did not show any coffee stains on it and does not smell like coffee any more. Jim has taken our wool and silk area rug to his shop to be cleaned and we are now waiting for it to be complete and delivered back to us.

Jim came out and looked at a few spots that needed to be repaired on a carpeted hallway. He was very patient explaining the issues with the carpet. After some discussion, we came to the conclusion that it would be best to re-schedule the appointment because I had not adequately explained the problem over the phone and he needed different materials. There were many obstacles to overcome because of the nature of the issue - the area that needed to be patch also transitions into a different carpet with a different pile and level. Jim wanted to leave the job as best as possible so we came up with a different action plan than just patching the carpet. Jim repaired the carpet and steam cleaned the hallway as had estimated. The carpet and hallway look great now. Also, there is a nice transition between the two different carpet styles. Instead of just patching the holes, he was able to creatively make the carpet transition work. Jim was very professional (in appearance and in communicating the nature of the work), worked diligently and cleaned up after the project was completed. He charged as estimated.

Called for appointment. Was given one four days later. Job was to clean one room, 15 ft x 15 ft, or 225 sq ft. Was given price of $225. Day before, company called to see if they could arrive earlier. Agreed on new time. Owner arrived promptly at new time, did job in under 45 minutes. Was neat, clean, professional--no small talk. Presented bill, same amount, paid with check. As leaving, he informed me of their other services (upholstery cleaning, garage floor cleaning).

I have a large office/playroom with old stained commercial carpeting. I want to wait to replace this until my grandchildren are a bit older. Though it does not look new, it does look much better. They did a fabulous job and we could walk on the carpeting as soon as they left. They also cleaned a bedroom carpet that had a dog urine odor, and stair carpeting. I would definetly use them again and would recommend them as well.

Not only did the team arrive right on time and charge exactly what was estimated, but they also went way above and beyond my expectation in paying attention to problem spots and cleaning under pieces of furniture that I hadn't moved. Despite weekly vaccuuming, the two upholstered chairs had a lot of pet hair worked into the fabric--G&G did a super job removing the hair prior to cleaning, and the chairs came out as brightly colored as they were when I bought them 15 years ago. G&G also cleaned under the chair cushions and removed stains that I never even see. In several spots on my living room and hallway carpet there were pet accident and pet food stains/odor that my own ordinary spot-cleaning and cleaning from a lower-priced franchise carpet cleaner could not address. When G&G finished, the carpet looked like new, and there were no lingering pet odors or chemical cleaning smells. I will be asking G&G to come and clean once a year at least from now on.

Carpets and upholstery very clean. They were on time and finished in the time they said they would. Everything went great.

They arrived right on time and worked non-stop for about two hours. We are very pleased with the results.

The G & G truck showed up exactly at the time they said they would. There were two men, who identified themselves as George and Sam. They parked the truck in my driveway after suggesting that I might want to move my car out to the street in case I needed to go somewhere while their truck was there. From the truck they ran 3-inch hoses to the various rooms where things needed to be cleaned. I didn't watch the cleaning because it was too noisy (to watch I would have needed also to hear). They took sofa and chair cushions into the back hard to clean them there. They put the sofa and chairs on little sponge blocks so that they wouldn't crush the still-wet carpet. I guess the sponges were also load spreaders. After all the cleaning was done they set up very big fans to help things dry. While the fans were running they packed up all of their gear into the truck. At the end they loaded up the fans and brought me the bill, exactly 3.5 hours after they arrived. I paid with a check. I had a 30% off member coupon from Angie's List. Without that the bill would have been nearly $1000 and I think I woujld have given them a B instead of an A for price.

G and G carpet did an absolutely amazing job! They were thorough, professional (not even any chit chat between the team - just hard work), and efficient. My carpets look great, there's no scent from their products (my cat didn't freak out - that's important), and I was extremely impressed with the very hard working focused team. They were a bit more expensive than some of the big companies that do the '3 rooms for $99' deals) but worth every penny! I plan to have them back in few weeks to have the rest of the carpets done.

When I have to get the carpet cleaned again I will use them. I think they also do upholstery cleaning and they also clean tiles. Their price was fair; I think it was worth every penny.

I had two rugs to be cleaned. The larger is a 10X15 wool and silk rug. It's a very expensive carpet and had some stains. The smaller was 5X7 wool carved rug. Jim explained that the silk in the rug is what made it an expensive rug to clean. Because the carpet is valuable, and their service was highly recommended on Angie's List, I decided to proceed. The minute I told Jim I had found them on Angie's List, he told me there was a 30% off coupon there. Being pretty new to Angie's List, I didn't realize there are sometimes coupons available. So yes, it was $585 AFTER the 30% discount. This included a $75 charge to pick-up and deliver the rugs. I thought that charge was reasonable and the large rug was way too heavy for me to try to bring it in. To be honest, I didn't check any other prices, so I don't have a point of comparison on the price. That is not my usual MO, but I was time stressed and just went with my gut feeling. He told me it would be two weeks before they returned the rugs. They called after thirteen days and brought them back on the 14th day. The rugs look beautiful - better than new. Jim was very prompt for both onsite appointments. He was professional, soft spoken and polite. And they did a great job. I would definitely use them again.

They did a wonderful job. I liked them. I would recommend them highly. They were very responsive to our concerns and flexible about the dates.

I used them twice and they were very good. It wasn’t cheap; it was $100 for each room-sized rug. I’d rather have a good job and pay more than have a lousy job and pay very little. When you compare what you get for the price, the price gets an A. I got what I paid for. The punctuality was perfect.
