Overall, it went well. The chair and sofa looked good, but the rug did not come clean. They explained that this was due to wear and tear. He asked if he could try again to clean the rug, and he personally came and picked it up and re-cleaned it. It looks better, and I am very impressed by the service.

I did end up calling another service with good reviews that quoted me half the amount. I'm insulted and angry that he would try to take such advantage of me. Very unprofessional. UPDATE: The owner of G & G had called twice attempting to resolve the "misunderstanding" with I think a sincere gesture to come for an estimate and also sincere apology explaining there was a misunderstanding. Yes, I acknowledge cleaning a couch professionally and with good results is time consuming and hard work. I am the type of person to appreciate that and would try to be fair. He explained that he needed to estimate high and adjust the price accordingly so that the customer wouldn't be upset about a misquote. I do feel his frustration. In this area, I know that's a problem for people performing a service -- being taken advantage of and being asked for "best price." I can acknowledge there was a misunderstanding between us and we can both learn from it.

The workers were polite and worked efficiently. The carpets looked great when they were finished. I would hire G and G again.

WOW!! Excellent service! First, Octavio arrived on time and walked through the house with me, noting specific spots and asking if I knew what they were. It had been about 7 years since the last time the carpets were cleaned and our cats (poor old things at 17 & 19 when they passed) had left lots of stains and odors behind. Carpet is a light beige and had a visible dirt trail down the hallway. By the time Octavio was done, the stains and odors were gone. The whole carpet was brighter. He got out stains that I thought he might only be able to lighten. A Miracle worker! He moved some furniture pieces to get under that I only expected him to go around. He took care not to scrap any walls or furniture with the hoses. The overall job was completed in about 4 hours and I would definitely use G&G again!

Arrived right on time. Very polite and professional but also very friendly - but business-like. Walked through, gave estimate and did the work. Two hours later they were all done. We've used G&G a number of times and have always been happy wiht them. They also have done other carpet services like patching carpet damaged areas with remnant pieces. We've been pleased with those services as well.

Excellent work! Jim and his staff arranged for a convenient time. Alex and Eric arrived promptly and went to work. Initially they surveyed all the carpet in the house, including heavily traveled areas. We had vacuumed the carpet before they came, but they used a more powerful vacuum prior to starting their cleaning process. We removed smaller pieces of furniture. They moved the larger furniture and placed it on foam blocks to prevent it from getting damp. They carefully cleaned the carpets. They did a great job. Following the cleaning process, they used industrial fans to help accelerate the drying. They were friendly and courteous, and everything was professionally done. Highly recommend!

Totally went the extra mile to save my gorgeous little rug- been in same spot for 8 years and suddenly cat felt need to repeatedly mark territory there. Fortunately G&G was willing to wash it multiple times (5-6) to get all the odor out and even called to ask about handling an area where fringe was uneven. THANKS TO G&G!

We have 2 dogs and even though I clean the rug regularly, the home Bissel just wasn't getting all the smell out . Jim of G and G did a great job, actually got down on the rug and sniffed out the worst areas. Treated and then did the actual cleaning, doing the worst areas three times. He was punctual, careful and thorough. We will definitely use them again.

Jim is a great communicator and it was a pleasure to work with him. He gave me an estimate over the phone and also visited the property prior to performing the job. The carpets hadn't been cleaned in over 3 years and they were in very poor condition, requiring heavy duty cleaning. They looked new after G & G finished cleaning them.

Great! They arrived on time. We're very professional and friendly. Explained why our carpets kept getting dirty in the same place. They gave us advice of how to keep it clean in the future. We first got introduced to this company through Angie's list and now we called them on our own.

Did a great job. They were prompt clean and neat, and they made a 20 year old condo change completely.

They were punctual and showed up at 12:15 pm (the window of time was noon to 1pm). The area rug arrived beautifully clean and dry and was back in place in no time. They did a great job cleaning the carpet on the stairway and down the upstairs hall. It looks new, it's so clean. The ceiling fan and a small Vornado fan placed at the far end of the hall have been running all afternoon and evening, and the carpet is dry to the touch already. This is the second time I've used this company's service, and I will continue to do so.

The team arrived on time and got to work immediately pre-spotting the very dirty carpets. (I was contemplating installing in new carpeting but thought I would try cleaning them first.) I'm really glad I had G & G work on them. The carpets look nearly new! There were dirty paths in the carpet and many spots all around. They were able to clean everything but one small spot. Amazing given how they looked to begin with- I am thrilled!! They worked quickly and efficiently and were done sooner than expected. The carpets were not very wet when they were done. It took only the day to dry and were able to walk on them in the evening. The cost was great because I was able to use an Angie's List Coupon on the service saving $100.

- did a spectacular job. Since the cost was a significant fraction of what I originally paid for the rugs, it seemed like a lot, and is why my B rating, but this may be typical... I am really not qualified to judge. I had gone 15 years without cleaning these rugs, and when they brought them back they looked better than new... so this cost once every 15 years won't kill me. They picked up and delivered the rugs, however they do offer you the option of rug transport yourself, which is cheaper. Also I believe they gave me a bit of a quantity discount. They are obviously very experienced and can tell you whatever you need to know about your rug. Also, we had another rug sitting in the garage which they refused to clean because it showed presence of moths... they did not want to risk bringing moths into their shop.... just fyi. Is probably good, in that you can be more sure than your own rug won't come back with someone else's moth eggs. On the other hand, if you do have a mothy but still salvageable rug, it is nice to be able to find someone who will do that work (and we did eventually find someone in Mountain View, on EC by Castro, I forget the name of the place.)

They did a great job, were punctual and professional. However, the price for ONLY 1 room was crazy. I live in a condo on the 3rd floor. This made it inconvenient. The owner mentioned that most of the cost was due to the set up. They did a great job but I was shocked by the price tag. I would recommend them for others (no upstairs, more places to clean, etc.) but for my situation, they aren't the best solution.
